search feature - need to change back!!! - Page 2

Guys You do get all the posts avaliable anony....not just recent ones

change one of the fields to instead of saying Find pots last month or newer to any date 😳 then u get all posts.

Yeah one thing i dont like is the waiting time, as i made a mistake in searching 4 something n needed to search again, n u have to wait a few mins, its gettign annoying esp wen u need it fast 😳

it doesn't have all the features the old feature had - before, when we clicked on the search botton in our profiles - we get all the post we have replied to in ascending order of latest replies. all i'm saying is that to change the profile search to the old search feature and keep the new one for the top of the page search botton!

As you know it is a complete rewrite so we will bring that feature in the new search soon.

We have fixed the "Search" button on the new search. So now it works in a even better way.

thanks bro for the reply. but the search by the member name should/can be improved further... now, when we search by member name, we get all the post stuck together and we cannot reply! hoping to see some more changes regarding this search tool.

oh i c....but why is that option even there? it shld just simply list all ur post and obviously ur most recent ones r gonna be on top...so i think that option is really useless...plus i tried all the options and its still not working for me.

the old search option was much much much better than this one.

Thanks for the feedback. However I still feel that the new search is much better and faster then the old one.

Please do post here what you are trying to search and what all functions are not working.

Simply use the "Quote" feature to reply to that post.

yeah i dont like the waiting part either!
like if i accidently type something wrong i have to wait 60-120 seconds before searching again😭

The wait time is to keep a check on the misuse of the search feature. Searching a 20GB database is a resource intensive activity and if we do not keep any such check it can slow down the entire site. I hope now you dont mind waiting for 30 seconds compared to browsing verrrrry slow IF.

BTW the wait time has been reduced to 30 seconds for members.
