Well yes it does give an edge to actors with social media presence and that’s true not just in terms of popularity ranking but also in real life when casting people look at their follower count and brands look at the engagement they really drive on their profile.

We also take into account if they are being in news, how many people searching them, and talking about them.

At the end it is just our idea of collating all the data that we can gather and present it in the form of celebrity ranking.

It certainly helps our team in tracking their popularity.

Well it's good that the ranking is back but honestly the ranking system is not fair..

There are actors who may not be very popular (plays side roles) but are pretty much active on social media..

And then there are actors who are popular but are very less active or even absent from social media.. Eg. Param Singh, Barun Sobti...

And then there are talented actors who have large fan following but they might not be in news always coz they wait for a really good story to work..

So in such cases these actors won't get their deserved ranking...

So plz consider some other process to count the ranking instead of just social media or news..

We welcome suggestions and feedback to improve this ranking system.

Just being active on social media is also not the sole criteria. We are monitoring how many likes/comments they get on their posts. So there may be some with higher Follower count but they are absent or not getting that kind of engagement on their posts.

We are scheduling our ranking to be published every Monday.

Well its not on votes. It depends on the news, views, comments, topics and their social media influence.
