How are views and fan points calculated for celebs?-pg 4/29 Modnote 40 - Page 11

Good questions raised by TM and others here, would really appreciate some clarity on these points. Eagerly waiting to have these doubts cleared.

Very pertinent issues raised by the ,TM.. One more thing I wanted to ask is, who are counted as active fans? If someone opened an account years back but has not logged in, say a year, will they be counted? Thanks in advance hoping for a speedy reply..

their attending for members' problems is their matter, but raising the issue is our part. So we have done it several times now.

It cannot be an alien algorithm they used for view points. view points became completely impossible since few weeks.

when the highest is getting 600, the next is getting half of it, and that's also for obvious biggest fan club with most number of active members.

We had approximately equal activeness through out the year and suddenly there was no any visible change happened, but surprisingly a drastic change happened in view points.

It's completely not logical at all.

• I would really like to find out all of the things already posted here, but more than that I would like to find out why is it so difficult to know all these things? Why are there so many I-F members who are confused? What is the purpose of being so secretive? Why is it that one group of fans know more than others? (I am sorely tempted to use the words 'insider information' here!!)
• I also want to find out how it is decided and who it is that decides to delete comment pages from a celebrity. Was the fan's permission sought before deleting their comments? Whose right is it to do this? Does management reserve this right? On what basis?
• In reference to MID's - why is there not a consistent, systematic removal of MID's. Why is one celebrity targetted over others? Sometimes, it is so obvious that there are MID's at play, yet, they continue to appear on a celebrity's comment page or fan page or on the pages of the actual show. Again, what is the basis of these decisions? Who is it that decides to target one celebrity over another? If it is a decision taken at the board level, what is the criteria for it? What is the criteria to target one celebrity but not another?
• Please bear in mind that these are valid questions from me, an I-F member. A member, who is very disillusioned with the conduct of the I-F management, including some Moderators, who practice blatant conflict of interest!
• Mangement needs to understand that this is not a fly by night operation anymore. You have an International membership. And if you want any credibility with your members, you need to practice an open, honest policy that has the integrity that an outfit of this caliber should require.
• Just the fact that there are members who are questioning the operation of the I-F should give you the clue that all is not well in your forum.
• Lastly, thank-you in advance if you do have the courtesy to respond to any of the queries. However, I will not hold my breath, judging from past performance!

I am also very inquisitive to know how this ranking system exactly works? The amount of fans in an actor's profile doesn't matter to me, because most of them are MID's. My only worry here is that why does a certain actor or actress's rankings go up or down only based on the buzz they get from articles? Why is it that we have to crucially write the full name of an actor to he their rank on top? I have never understood this.

Hoping that Vijay Sir will clarify this for me and us :)
