I have never heard of the NO COPY tag. Most of the time I have just seen the words typed in but then all one needs to do is click on quote and you can copy the whole write up. I still think write ups created in a pdf format cannot be copied. A screen shot will only show what the text is but you cannot copy it.

In order to do that the Admins or Vijay would need for us to be able to post the documents as attachments as you would an email.
You would do your write up, add a water mark and or your name at the beginning and end of the document, save it as a pdf file. Once this is done you should not be able to make any changes to it. The quote option for the opening post would not be available but members would be able to post their replies People might be able to take a screen shot but they would not be able to make changes either. So your write up can be distributed on other sites but it will have your name to it. I am sorry that I am like a dog with a bone on this issue. It is done in accounting for emailed invoices which is why I am so adamant on this. I just want to see if this would be viable.

Press F12 on your keyboard. A code for the page pops up even with a NOCOPY tag. You can easily read and copy everything from that code box. I accidentally pressed it once on an update with a NOCOPY tag and that's when I saw it.

Vijay bhai and Priya di please look into this. I think this is how other sites are copying our updates.

Guys...guys..guys... As long as one can see the text in WHICHEVER way, on the computer screen, one CAN copy it! Its childs play! The ONLY solution is getting it patented which I-F will never go for. Though i deeply sympathise with you guys but sadly stop fretting over it coz theres no solution. Its an online world...indiaforums is a public portal n it has NO PATENT RIGHTS for written updates. This is d bitter truth, the sooner u accept it, d better for your own peace. :)

I don't think I would ever have known about it either except I pressed F12 once instead of Home and that's when I discovered this. I thought DTs knew about it and were working on solving it.

Hey guys, I am the one who suggested the tagged picture thing last time. Because no matter what you do, if the text cannot be copied, someone can take snaps and post it. So watermarking is the only thing, but the question is do you want to do so much work for it?

My updates get copied regularly even stuff like there was a power failure and i was unable to see the first part 😆. The NOCOPY is so easy to bypass.
