I know it must suck to hear "DT is working on fixing the mod issues", but there is a shortage of mods, so it's takes time. ---> There has been a shortage for a long time now, we've heard that, but there has been enough time so a substitute could be brought in... Only Admins get to deal with demotion and such things. And sometimes some of the complains are so silly that it take a long time just to understand which complains are valid and which aren't. ----> But why is that we dont see the Admin around, I mean for eg: this thread, By the looks of it, the Admin hasn't even laid an eye here, and even if they have, why not give us a notice about it, post something here that tells us they've been looking upon the issue?
Regarding IP address people already replied how all mods don't have that right, only the higher ones do. Unless you are GM or Admin even that is limited to your forum. And I get a feeling members are referring to it as a creepy interest of mods. Mods aren't interested in checking random member's IP address. I can tell you it's not fun, just bunch of numbers. 🥱 It only gets looked into when there is a clear hint that it's an MID. And even then Mods only end up checking it when it becomes absolutely necessary, in more precise terms when a new member happens to join the forum writing the meanest post that violate all the I-F rules. ---> We are not saying that Mods are doing it for time pass, for God sake, there are better things to do, but what about the insecurity that is already created in everybody after the misuse of power, if it happened once, it could happen again? And the Admin should not wait for a second time... I think the Admin should take into regard certain insecurities and restrict the IP access to the GM and Admins.. Only Admins infact, ultimately it's they who decide demotions and banning right?
And not sure where the reading PM thing came from. No one reads pms. It's not allowed...😊 not even possible.
Regarding the friend issue, I wish the DT would do a better job at explaining this matter. FRIEND'S DON'T GET PROMOTED. They really don't. Because I swear if that was the case many members would have become mods by now.
