SPM~MyMusings 25.5.19 Changing times ..

The changing of hands, or the passing over the Shah shrine from Mainjaan to his successor has brought in quite a period of transition, some changes in the family group dynamics as it were. Relationships themselves are undergoing slight variations.

Mamoon’s words today made me think of the implications this passing over action of passing over the dynasty to another is having. Mamoon actually refers to changes in relationships and his future course of actions. Mamoon clearly refers to Zaroon/Saltanat alliance, which may not really benefit his purpose. Mamoon speaks about his strategy of keeping his eyes and ears open! One is likely to do that, when one is on the lookout for something. In fact Mamoon shrewdly refers to the winds of change occurring in the Shah mansion; in occupants minds and hearts.

Mamoon has worked out that the girl Zaroon is after has fallen from grace with the head patriarch of the family. Besides, Mamoon can also conclude that Nadeem too will be out of the race for the dynasty chair, which leaves Mamoon in a very comfortable position to get access to seat of the head of the dargah. It’s no surprise that he tells his rather, sleepy wife Ghazala to alter and change her attitude towards both Kainat and Zainab! Mamoon can see that Kainat remains the apple of Mainjaan‘s eye! Currently due to the mess in her engagement, there has been a change in the peaceful temperature in the family bonds.. some change is felt, an uneasiness before the storm. Mamoon is clear that he will change his strategies according to which way a favourable wind blows, that will set his sail towards achieving his purpose. Mamoon is seen as one, who is clear about his goal. So is his son for that matter..

There are others who remain unsure about their role in these transitional times, when the dargah is preparing for its new potential head. It’s unfortunate for Nadeem the potential taking over head, that he gets caught in the noodle eating incident and that too by the reigning dargah head Mainjaan himself. His eating during the fasting period is greatly condemned by Mainjaan . Nadeem feels he let down his father and thus now suffers from low esteem that he is not just good enough for this prestigious role held by his father currently. I felt Mainjaan too seriously begins to doubt Nadeem’s suitability for being his right replacement.. Saltanat too feels guilty that she was the one who pushed her father in the first place to go for the heir’s responsibility role. At this point I wonder did Saltanat make her father go for role, because of the vested interest of Zaroon and his family for the dargah? The scene boasts about a daughter’s concern about her father’s medical condition, that’s why Saltanat saw to it that due to medical reasons Nadeem's need be met.

Something that has been niggling in my mind is why is Mainjaan not apprised about Nadeem’s medical condition. Has Nadeem held it back for fear of being thrown out of the race as the dargah head by Mainjaan, ?

Saltanat feeding her father, again shows. That in what she believes is right, she is quite happy to do the needful, even if it means taking risks. Also I liked how Saltanat handled the situation afterwards , treated it lightly and reminded her father, that Mainjaan’s anger is short lived! As a girl who loves her family, later on she goes to tender her apologies to Mainjaan ,only her grandfather turns out to be an imposter! Zaroon… their scene was contrived.. same old tune, his demand to hear her confession of love ! and her refusal!

Kainat by the looks of it seems to have grassed up Nadeem , and his daughter! Saltanat was watching the whole eating act.. talking about change.. Kainat in her own person has certainly modified the direction of the winds in the Shah. It began with the needs of settling the quiet, innocent, pure girl! And it still is about settling that girl. Only the demure girl herself has chosen her partner for life! and for him! the one she clasps close to her heart! she has undergone a transformation in her mind set! She is resolute and steadfast in her purpose in life! no more is she innocent like the dove, but wise as the serpent! She looks not for a guide but rather seeks her own way.. He who was meant for her, will be hers! What a change from the mild in heart to the rough in spirit! The universe sure has undergone a change with the times..

Even Dadi wants to be her associate! Yet again Kainat has moved another boulder that came in her way from reaching Zaroon! But no more naïve is Kainat. She listens to Dadi’s request about impressing Mainjaan in making Humza the heir, but little does dadi know that Kainat in due time will push Humza out of the race for the heir.. Kainat quietly takes her decision, as she paves the way for Zaroon to get her, plus the head of the shrine! So she has it all figured out!

The one to match Kainat’s resolution is Zaroon! His macho scene with the punching bag I found interesting. Could the punching bag, he lands hard punches on be Kainat too! the suspended obstacle between him and Saltanat! Kainat’s NO! for Humza is crucial for Zaroon ! it could even take him farther from Saltanat and he’d end back to square one! of marrying Kainat!! more aggressive punches! As the only way that he could be saved, if Saltanat’s says yes to marrying him! then what Kainat says, will not make any difference!

Zaroon like Kainat is purpose driven! and makes use of friends around him as means to an end! He begs Neelam for cunningly getting a recorded confession of Saltanat’s love for him.. he will use the confession as proof that Saltanat accepts! not rejects him as her life partner. Now Neelam agrees to betray her best friend, on the condition that whatever happens Zaroon will not abandon Saltanat under any circumstance! I wonder if Neelam knows of any big change coming up, for her to put this condition before Zaroon ?

A lot of cooks are secretively stirring their own broths. Gone is the moderate, dulcet, ambience in the Shah family and mansion. All seems replaced with subtle, yet extreme tensions between family members.. is this the making of changing times? or more to do with the changing of hands..

The magnificent , reverence of the Ghazi Shah shrine, speaks of its powerful hold over all the existing, Shah family. Even Sufiyana love, the highest amongst all virtues, seems to take second place before the shrine’s grandeur and reputation..

In the episode, a few people show they are very unlikely to change their minds.. modify and reverse the present purpose of their life! Kainat wants Zaroon ,Zaroon wants Saltanat ! Mainjaan is likely to change his mind ,as to who he will hand over the dynasty to..26,5.19 hamlet53

Hello hammie.. happy weekend..

There were two highlights of the episode for me.

One is mamoon’s dialogue.. the tides are changing in the house.. there is no more a family like atmosphere.. too much politics and agendas each one iS having..

zaroon has really impressed miajaan. He is in his good books.. so he does stand a chance on his own to be in the race.. but will his fathers greed lead to his downfall? Sultanat in the previous episode did speak about zaroon having to stay back for the virasat. It clearly does imply that she is in favor Of Zaroon being the heir.. Or will sultanat further his case in front of miajaan.. only time will tell...

the other is humza.. whether he is really in the running or not to become the heir.. one cannot deny his contribution and hardwork for the dargah.. So will miajaan consider him?

Kainaat may be believes that she is not a great player that she is letting Dadi to plot and plan and she Will execute it with a twist that would further her interest..

The other highlight was Neelam extracting a promise from zaroon.. for me it does tie in with mamoon’s dialogue that the tides are changing.. so will zaroon be able to stand with sultanat? Will he fulfill the promise?

hiya,, there 😊 yes weekend is groceries and wider family time..

There were two highlights of the episode for me.

One is mamoon’s dialogue.. the tides are changing in the house.. there is no more a family like atmosphere.. too much politics and agendas each one iS having..

well we both thought alike.. the scene stood out , he is like a fly on the wall..

zaroon has really impressed miajaan. He is in his good books.. so he does stand a chance on his own to be in the race.. but will his fathers greed lead to his downfall? Sultanat in the previous episode did speak about zaroon having to stay back for the virasat. It clearly does imply that she is in favor Of Zaroon being the heir.. yes Mainjaan does show affection for Zaroon.. it's regrettable his dream of settling him with Kainat didn't quite work out.. But despite that Mainjaan , respects Zaroon's efforts at being a family man. Yes Sultanat wants him to stay back for the family .. she might not suggest Zaroon ,if she keeps in mind her oath to Zainab. It might happen saltantat may promo zaroon for heirship but may do it for Kainat 's benefit and not for herself.. you never knows this may be another.. twist , Saltanat doing the ground work for Kainat..

the other is humza.. whether he is really in the running or not to become the heir.. one cannot deny his contribution and hardwork for the dargah.. So will miajaan consider him?

actually this is a thought.. but I recall the heir potentially comes, from the paternal side..Humza is not the son's offspring.. I may be wrong.. that's why Zaroon was chosen, instead of Humza ..

Kainaat may be believes that she is not a great player that she is letting Dadi to plot and plan and she Will execute it with a twist that would further her interest..

oh yes.. Kainat will play the game, but her way.. dadi best watch out ..at least we know what Kainat is up to,,

The other highlight was Neelam extracting a promise from zaroon.. for me it does tie in with mamoon’s dialogue that the tides are changing.. so will zaroon be able to stand with sultanat? Will he fulfill the promise?

why do I have this feeling that Neelam knows something we don't know also I have suspect that kainat and Mamoon may be together in pushing Nadeem out of the heir;s race.. both may be in on having Zaroon as the heir..

thanks for sharing your interesting ideas regards the current track Lonelythots,, keep the ideas coming.... love hammie

HiHammie! Sorry for the late comment. Weekends are hard for me especially now that the summer is here.

I agree with you that Zaroon is the only one who can give any competition to Kainaat's junoon. Kainaat hugging that snow globe was creepy. She will lose whatever little sanity that may be left in her, if that globe breaks.

The best part of the episode was Mamoon's scene. He is extremely shrewd, way smarter than his son. Is he a villain? Not in the conventional sense but he is not a likable character. I wonder why? He wants what should have been rightfully his. He is not trying to steal it or cheat anyone. He is willing to pay the ultimate price - sacrifice his son if need be. Could he have been portrayed on more positive light instead of this cold avatar?

I give no importance to Zaroon’spromise to Neelam. On ITV, such promises are dime a dozen, forgotten in a week or two

I loved Miajaan's apology scene in the previous episode because it shows his character and his strong sense of right and wrong. Zainab was extremely selfish in begging to Sultanat to continue to help Kainaat. Even though she claimed she loved both equally, when push came to shove, she chose Kainaat over Sultanat.

Sultanat is back on her mission to unite Kainaat and Zaroon. This mission of hers makes no sense to me now. She had admitted that she loves Zaroon. She has accepted that Zaroon's love for her is pure. That promise to Zainab expired when Kainaat threw her under the bus. This lack of a solid reason to push Zaroon towards Kainaat makes the storyline look forced - especially when Kainaat's actions clearly show that she is capable of fighting her own battles. CVs either need to give Sultanat a much stronger motive than she currently has or make her accept Zaroon and let Kainaat plot to snatch Zaroon.

hiya! well good at least I caught up with you on Monday[bankholiday]! the summer blues, and sudden showers have emerged where i am !

for Kainat, its probably the first decision she has taken on her.Never mind about what the elders arranged for her. Now its retrieving a foiled situation for her,in which she concludes she is doing the right thing! her tight hold on her fragile dreams ,shows, this girl is not for turning.

well he is not in earnest a peace maker , for even before he came to India, he made his purpose quite clear to his son. I don't see any regret in him for his fathers huge step of giving up the dargah and opting to settle aboard. It was to improve his way of life, his fathers stance. Mamoon, as you suggest, only comes to claim his heritage, handed down from father to son! He does so in the guise of celebrating his roots..but really its his share he's after and not so much bonding with his fathers's younger brother. Yes, Irshita you may be right, that he may put his son Zaroon's love on the line! just like his father did.. when he broke his ties with his motherland. It was chilling ,the way Mamoon, said..as for Zaroon he'll handle him! I suspect he'll remind Zaroon, its was his commitment to fulfil his father's dream.. just like Mamoon, possibly give up his inherited name, fame and status for his son.. its the card,of parental expectation from their children!

I give no importance to Zaroon’spromise to Neelam. On ITV, such promises are dime a dozen, forgotten in a week or two

it does appear woolly at the moment, but what he is asking her do is pretty devious too..Its like his father's mindset.. no moral ground ,as long the end is reached.

I loved Miajaan's apology scene in the previous episode because it shows his character and his strong sense of right and wrong. Zainab was extremely selfish in begging to Sultanat to continue to help Kainaat. Even though she claimed she loved both equally, when push came to shove, she chose Kainaat over Sultanat.

you are so correct! there is disparity in Zainab's claim.. it gets my back up when she plays the Kainat ,yateem card.. Zainab does disservice to herself.. as all this time, she plays the dual role of being both a father and mother to Kainat. Also it damns children with out fathers as being a negative species , a burden on society ,quite worthless. On a cooler note, I suppose, Zainab harps on the vulnerability card..

Sultanat is back on her mission to unite Kainaat and Zaroon. This mission of hers makes no sense to me now. She had admitted that she loves Zaroon. She has accepted that Zaroon's love for her is pure. That promise to Zainab expired when Kainaat threw her under the bus. spot on you couldn't have summed it better! personally the CV's want Saltanat to be seen as the new age woman , who sees reason, is compassionate , and if needs be, is willing to take a step back for the benefit of a greater cause.. she is shown as a bit of unselfish soul.. because it creates a glaring contrast between her and Kainat

thanks for sharing you thoughts Irshita,, was looking forward to reading them. Have to say , that the love angle is there only to create ruction between the tree main leads.. the crux of the saga is more about the mad, skirmish towards gaining the legacy.. dynasty! Romance, might not give one ,wealth, fame and respectability..but the Shine can..it has so far stood the test of time..

much love hammie

Are CVs really succeeding in showing as her an unselfish soul? I find S to be the epitome of stupidity. She is not seeing anything past the promise given to Zainab. Her actions have consequences. If S succeeds, Z will be trapped in a loveless marriage and if S truly sees reason then she should realize that K will never get the love of a husband. If S feels so strongly for Z then she should confess it. K will be heartbroken but she will have no choice but to move on. Unless, CVs make her the typical ITV villain who plots to break up the lead couple.

I agree that CVs are creating a black-white contrast between the sisters. Its unfortunate that K is being destroyed to support SaRoon. I don't understand why CVs still show some likeable qualities in K. She still has a conscience as she apologized to her father that she is doing wrong. She even made it clear to the kidnapper that no harm should come to MJ. Also, she refuses to become S to get Z. She is not an innocent child. She knows what she is doing is wrong but she is blinded by her hatred for S that she feels like she can do whatever she wants to get Zaroon. Her main goal is to hurt S as she feels she snatched everything from her since childhood. Her "love" for Zaroon is her resentment for Saltanat.
