I haven't watched the show for a week as I was travelling. Came back and caught up on episodes back to back and Voila! I am disappointed with the show at this point. I am going to talk about characters and what bothers me most about them.
Saltanat: She is good and glorified one. So I don't have anything to add. One dimensional character doesn't excite me and I have already seen Helly play Saltanat in a different form. The outspoken, usool waali ladki… So I refrain.
Kainaat: I had high hopes from Kainaat’s character. It was refreshing to watch Helly in never seen before avatar and layered characters are what hold the show for me. Kainaat is shown to be bitter, insecure, jealous and is already being touted as Haddi between S and Z…
My question is why two characters with different ideologies and different upbringing co-exist in a positive environment. Why is it necessary to put one down to highlight another? Why does everything need to be in white and black?
There must be a reason K is the way she is towards S, Note only Saltanat and I am sure there’s a back story to it. Don't get me wrong. I am no way supporting Kainaat but before passing on judgements and declarations, I want to understand why? There were a few instances which clicked my interest with regard to this.
When Kainaat prepared dinner and Miajaan remarked on I will let Saltanat take credit for this which Saltanat never had any intentions of and was about to come clen..but Rubina (S mother) seemed absolutely happy to hog the credit of K for her daughter. So does she have a role to play in insecurity harboured by K? Did this happen before?
In various scenes across the episodes, S saying she gets the first choice in everything and how K feels she snatches away everything from her, Why is that?
Nobody is born bitter. This unnecessary resentment K holds against S, and I believe it not because of Z Yes, the entry of Zaroon surely stirred up equation but this seems to to be an issue right from their time as kids and I wish Cv ‘s have a solid reason for the same, If not it doesn't make sense at all.
I don't want K to be turned into a typical evil sister..because I have already seen that before. Not interested in a reboot version.

Now my Fav of the lot .. (pun intended) Zaroon. I think he is the weakest link of all three. I have said in few earlier posts, I found the entire Zaroon, Saltanat equation too rushed and Zaroon too filmy, to be honest. And Saltanat’s admission of feelings even more rushed as if they were in a hurry. Harbouring a soft spot and attraction is fine but All of the sudden love...Sorry I am not able to buy it. I wish they could have taken it slow.
I did like them to an extent. It was fun initially but I no longer feel connected to their story.
Zaroon fell in love with Saltanat because she fits his image of Life partner .. Fine! But I have issues with his ‘I get want I want’ attitude irrespective of what you feel. That's a put-off. I mean, yeah it sounds romantics and looks so only in movies and books but in real..those kind of guys who pursue relentlessly despite a NO are an issue and a pain in life who don't give you space to breathe. Don't you think so? I don't find ‘SaRoon’ scenes romantic anymore, rather forced.
Yes, they are good on the eyes. They have chemistry but is that enough for me for a pair to work. No!
And, add constant staring session Of Zaroon, which is irking. I have not seen S enjoying his staring session. Either she averts her eyes, feels guilt for holding feelings but definitely, she’s not going gooey and mushy.
Whatever may be the reason .. S denied/Rejected him. She harbours feelings for him, but she never admitted them to him, she won't any sooner then why is he behind her life. I have been coming across social media people asking K to move on and questioning why she is pining upon Zaroon despite his rejection, I have the same question for Zaroon. Why? Despite the clear rejection of his advances by Saltanat on various occasions, Why are the rules of the game different for two people in the same context?
His overbearing and imposing attitude under a fancy name of ‘Zidd’ is no romantic ..and I don’t get ITV’s version of romanticising such behaviours.
But my major problem is with his insensitivity ..esp when he asked K to reject the proposal. Like really dude? Your feelings, your problem. Why can't he own it up? It's like, I want the cake, eat it too but let my hands be clean.
Glad he did in next episode. If not, Nothing could have salvaged him for me. Even in today's episode. I believe Manners and Manliness go hand in hand, but Zaroon fails big time again!
I hope this show and Cv’s don't fail me. I had high expectations and still have somewhere.
