The whole day Dipika didn't speak well to anyone… Only officially did she talk with even Neha and Vishal… The whole team knew she was still angry with Aryan and Vishal's behavior the previous day…. And that anger was reflecting on other staffs as well! 😔
Evening….
Dipika and Aryan were in their cabin preparing reports while the others were also doing the same in their rooms….
There was a knock on their door and both of them looked up to see Vishal standing there….
He came in with a sober face and said…. 😒
Dipika didn't bother to talk with him and went back to making her reports…. Vishal rolled his eyes and said to no one in particular….
Vishal: This is official!
At this Dipika looked up at him as he continued….
Vishal: Interrogation room!
Aryan and Dipika puzzled what it was looked inside the interrogation room and found their answers… Involuntarily they both stood up and coming to the glass portioning….
Aryan: The Mehtas!
Dipika: And The Sinhas!
Vishal: From where it all started…. 😳
The three of them looked at each other… Nodding they left to meet them….
Interrogation Room……
Dipika, Aryan and Vishal entered the room while the rest of the team stood watching from outside….
Seeing them come in both the mothers stood up and went to them teary eyed….
Mrs. Mehta: Humne paper me pada ki aap logon ne us…. Us drug ke gang ke pakada!
Mrs. Sinha: Haan… Hum sirf aapko thank you kehene aaye the!
As the three of them looked on surprised, Mrs. Mehra said…
Mrs. Mehra: Humare bachche to abhi wapas nahi aane waale… 😔
Mrs.Sinha: Is ek maheene me humne apne aapko sambhaal liya… Lekin humare jaise kitne maa baapon ke is dukh se bachaya hai aap logon ne…. Isliye… Thank you!
Mrs.Sinha and Mrs.Mehta folded their hands thanking them…
The three of them smiled feebly not knowing how to respond… 😭
Dipika: Oh…. (Pulling down their folded hands) Please… Humne to sirf apni duty ki hai….
A male voice said....
"Lekin humne aapki bahut beizzat ki thi us din!"
The three looked behind the ladies... It was Mr.Mehta who spoke up….
He came up to them not meeting their eyes and said….
Mr.Mehta: Meri beti humari laadli thi…. Dukh is baat ka hai ki vo hume is tarah chodke chali gayi!
As Mr.Mehta's eyes filled with tears, Vishal said softly….
Vishal: Aap is tarah sochiye… Aapke bachche ek taraf se desh seva me shaheed hi hue hain…. Agar hum us case ko handle nahi karte to itna bada drug racket ring jo humare desh bhar hi nahi, duniya bhar me faili thi use pakad nahi sakte the!
Mr.Sinha: Ji… Isi baat se hum apne aapko tasalli de rahe hain! Phir bhi thank you… Humare bachchon ke kaatil ko pakadne se humara ek bhoj to kam hua !
Vishal and Dipika just nodded at them… Dipika hugged the ladies consoling them…. After an awkward pause…
Mr.Mehra: Hum chalte hain!
The parents were about to leave the room when Aryan said….
Aryan: Aap janana nahi chahate ki aapke bachchon ki mauth asal me kaise hui? ❓
The Mehtas and The Sinhas stopped stunned and looked at Aryan puzzled….
Even Dipika and Vishal looked at him wondering what he was going to say….
But Dipika took a close look at his face and knew what he was going to say…. If at all the burden of the parents could come down, the reason of their children's death would help them…. And Aryan's shocked face made her understand that he unwillingly his sorrows was re lived his family's tragedy with these families' sorrow!
Aryan: Aapke bachche honhaar aur bahadur the… Unhone koi galti nahi ki… Us gunde ko interrogate karne se hume pata chala…. Manish ko starting me drugs ki aadat thi…. Lekin Natasha uski bahut achchi dost ne use us aadat se chuda liya tha… Lekin vo drugs bechne waalon se itni jaldi chutkara nahi mil sakthi thi… Unhone Manish ko darana dhamkana shuru kar diya tha…. Paison ke liye aur uske dwara drugs ko doosre students ko bechne ke liye…. Manish ne inkaar kar di thi… Lekin vo gunde manane waale nahi the…. Manish ko un gundon se baat karte hue Natasha ne dekha aur soch liya ki vo phir se us drugs ko use karne laga hai.... Hotel me us din Manish unhe aakhri baar milne gaya ye kehene ke liye ki vo unka saath nahi dene waala aur police ko such batane waala tha... Natasha ne bhi uska peecha kiya.... Police ki dhamki sun vo dar gaye aur Manish ko... Manish ko zabardasti us drug ki overdose pila di... Natasha us kamre ke bahar thi aur Manish ko bachane gayi to use bhi... Un logon ne nahi choda... Isi beech nashe me dhut un logon ne Natasha ke saath…… 😔
Aryan stopped not able to continue any further as the parents looked on shocked at the news…. 😲
Dipika: Aapke bachche galat nahi the… Unhone honhaari ka kaam kiya hai!
Vishal: Isliye aapko guilty hone ki zaroorat nahi hai ki aapne apne bachchon ko sahi parvarish nahi di! They are gem of the students!
The parents' eyes filled with tears hearing this and Mrs.Mehra said….
Mrs.Mehra: Hume is baat ka gham tha ki humne apne bachchon ko theek tarah se paala nahi hai! Lekin aapki is baat ne hume is baat ki sukoon de di!
Mrs.Sinha: Inki beti ne humare bete ki jaan bachane ke liye apni jaan bhi de di….
At this both the mothers hugged each crying and the fathers also hugged each other for support!
After a while the parents' thanked the team again and left the office!
Aryan, Dipika and Vishal just looked on wondering about the irony of life! 🤔
That evening when it was time to leave………
Dipika received a call which surprised her very much…. The news which she received from the other end made her happy even more…. After the call she was just thinking whether she should talk to Aryan or not when Aryan himself called out to her….
Aryan: Dipika… Call aaya?
Dipika looked at him and nodded….
Dipika: Surprising…. Itni jaldi maan jayegi maine to socha hi nahi tha! But all's for good!
Aryan just smiled back mildly…..
Aryan: Ab kya karna hai?
Dipika: Wahi jo humne decide kiya tha….
Aryan: Lekin kaise?
Dipika looked at him thoughtfully and said…..
Dipika: Hmm…. Kal… (Paused thinking about the date and pushing aside the thought said) Hrrmm…. Ek meeting ke liye arrange karte hain…. That would be better off!
Aryan nodded in response and said…..
Aryan: Kahan kaise decide kiya hai?
Dipika: I'll arrange everything….
Aryan: Are you sure? (As Dipika looked on wondering whether Aryan doubted her, he said hastily) I mean kuch help chahiye….
Dipika looked at him and Aryan knew she was more than sure about what she was going to do and how!
Dipika: Kal…. (Again pausing a little) Kal phone karti hoon ki kya karna hai!
Saying Dipika looked at her watch and saw that it was time to leave….
Dipika: Bye! (Before leaving the cabin) Ghar jaana please!
Aryan looked at her go surprised and smiled…. She hasn't changed even a bit…. Must be he had changed… Yes he has changed! Thinking for her good, but that was hurting her more!
Shaking his head he switched off his laptop and left the office! 😕
