March 8, 2010! Celebrates! 😃
Happy Woman's Day! Celebrating the spirit of Woman Hood! 😛
I am proud to be woman! Are you? 😉
International Women's Day (IWD) grew out of efforts in the early 20th century to promote women's rights, especially suffrage. In its campaign for female enfranchisement, the
Socialist Party of America in 1909 held the first National Woman's Day, which was highlighted by mass meetings across the United States; the day was observed until 1913. Encouraged by German activist Clara Zetkin, the International Socialist Congress agreed in 1910 to create an international version of the U.S. This is the 25th year since UN started sponsoring Woman's Day! 👏

Mardi Gras- The date of Mardi Gras varies from February 3 to March 9. It is a day of merriment and enjoyment before the 40 day period of self-denial,Lent. There are parades and parties and people throw out cheap plastic beads called Mardi Gras beads. The biggest celebration is in New Orleans,Louisiana.
