Inside the nurse's room………..

The inspector himself came forward. Shaking hands with Dipika he said,

Inspector:Hello madam, Mr. Manoj Varma.
Dipika:(smiling feebly)Hello sir, Dipika Gosh, Special Squad aur ye(indicating the others) Special Squad team se hain.

The others nodded to the inspector and the inspector returned the nod.

Dipika: Humne hi phone kiya tha........
Inspector:(nodding) Pata hai madam.Baahar, kya naam tha uska(trying to remember the name) Haan Ajay Desai,usne sab details bataya.
Dipika:Oh…..

She just nodded.

Inspector:(indicating towards the nurse) Maine aap sab ki baat suni.Ye definitely attempt to murder hai. Un do aadmiyon ka kya hua?

Before Dipika could answer, Boxer said

Boxer: (angrily)Un sahib zaadon ko neeche ek room me baand kar rakha hai.Aaiye main aapko unke pass le chalta hoon.
Dipika: Main bhi chalti hoon.

Boxer looked at Dipika,he knew why she was accompanying them.

Dipika just stared back. She was not going to let them meet the rogues alone. She knew what would happen, even in front of the inspector, they cananot keep their hands off. That's for sure.

Inspector:Theek hai. Er… constable(looking at a constable near him)Inse(indicating the nurse) ek statement le lena.(looking at other police officers) Tum log mere saath chalo.

The inspector left the room followed by his troop, Boxer followed them. Dipika turned towards Neha.

Dipika:Er… Neha tum…?
Neha:Main bhi chaloongi. Mujhe dekhna hai ki koun the vo log jo Aryan ki ye halat ki hai. 😡

Dipika just looked at Neha, she understood. She herself wanted to know who were these rogues.She then looked at Cathy.

Cathy:Tum, formalities poori karke aana. Main ICU me wait karti hoon.

Dipika nodded.She and Neha left the room.

Second Floor……..

Just as the police men, Boxer, Dipika and Neha passed the ICU, Ajay came to them.

Boxer:Maamu hum un do aadmiyon se milne jaa rahe hain, tumhi ko pata naa, ki vo kaoun se kamre main band pade hain.
Ajay:(nodding)Haan,…… lekin yahan kisi ko hona chahiye naa.
Dipika:(looking at the inspector)Haan Inspector, hum aur koi risk lena nahi chahte.
Inspector:Uski phikar mat kijiye. Main khud yahan do constableon ko rakhne wala tha. (looking at two constables) Suno, tum dono yaheen rehna aur bahut khayal rakhna.

The constables nodded and went to stand beside the doors of the ICU. Ajay and others looked satisfied.

The inspector, one constable, Dipika, Ajay, Boxer and Neha all went to the ground floor to investigate the two persons.

Why had they done this? What was the motive? They had to know, as Special Squad and especially for………. Aryan's sake.









Hospital Ground Floors………

The troop had reached the hospital ground floor. They immediately went to the back corridor. They didn't even stand for one second in the reception area. Photos were flashing outside. Dipika was worried that if the news about went outside, then about Anna Kartoos also it would come out. Commissioner had warned her about it. Before Ganesh could give his verdict, it would become a problem, all Anna's partners would become careful then. They had to stall somehow till Ganesh gave his verdict in court. His case was coming to court at 10 O'clock. The court was dealing his case the first thing in the morning.

It was 5:30 a.m. now. Commissioner said he would inform her when his verdict was over.

They reached the room where the goons were tied up.They entered the room. Shotgun was in a state of alert with his gun out.

Ajay:(shocked, backing off as if he would shoot) Are are, Shotgun hum hain yaar.

Shotgun sighed a sigh of relief and lowered his gun.

What Dipika saw shocked her. The goons were totally tired out. Blood was flowing out from their mouth and they seemed in pain. They were like hugging themselves, like it was paining in their…….(Oh!You must understand)

Dipika angrily looked at Ajay and Boxer. But both of them immediately turned their heads elsewhere like trying to survey the room Dipika shook her head went up to the goons.

The inspector had already reached the goons.

Inspector:Are inko kya hua? Kisi ne maara……

Boxer and Ajay looked at each other. O..o… they were in trouble, but something told them that Dipika would come to their rescue. And yes…

Dipika: Kuch nahin inspector, inhe band the samay bhaagne ki koshish kiye the, isiliye…….

The inspector just nodded.

Inspector:(lifting a goons chin by his stick)Haan… In jaison se aisi hi solook karma chahiye. Pehle maarne ki koshish aur phir bhaagne ki.Kyun be…….. sale..

Ajay and Boxer saw each other and smiled.

Dipika looked at Ajay and Boxer.They were caught.They didn't have time to avert their eyes and had to look at Dipika. Her eyes clearly said "Tum dono teherna". Ajay and Boxer just looked at each other.

Dipika just turned back her head and asked…….

Dipika:Tum log koun ho aur Aryan ko maarne ki koshish kyun ki?

Both the goons kept mum. The short guy actually wanted to say something, but the moustache guy made a sound to keep quiet.

Everyone noticed this.This irritated Boxer very much. He came forward to the moustache guy…….

He took hold of the guy's collar………

Boxer looked at Dipika.

Hospital Ground Floors, inside the room………

Dipika didn't stop Boxer. This was interrogation, unless it didn't get out of hand, it was okay, so Dipika just looked on.Also they were tough goons who must be handled a bit tough.

Boxer:(happy that mummy ji didn't interrupt)Abe, aapne aap ko bada ustad samjhta hai kya. Muh kholta hai yha khulvaana padega. Agar khulvadiya to phir kabhi muh kholne ke layak nahin hoge samjhe.

He let go of his collar and kept staring at the moustache guy. The moustache guy also stared back with no fear in his eyes.

Dipika came forward to the short guy. She stood in front of him and looked at him closely. There was fear in his eyes. So she knew she didn't have to press him a lot. Just a little bit of talking and the guy would break down, so……

Dipika:(looking at the short guy, in a sort of convincing manner)Agar tumne such batadi, to tumhari sazaa kum ho sakthi hai. Kyunki mujhe pata hai tum log pehli baar kisi ko maarne ki koshish kar rahe ho.(it was just a try, because these guys were too very clumsy. A professional killer wouldn't do like this, so…)To……
Short:Madam,(stuttering) madam bat….bata.. hoon…..

The moustache guy tried to stop him.

Moustache Guy:(between teeth)Aee…..

Boxer gave one hard slap to him and he just shut up, still glaring at the shorty.

The shorty continued………..

Short:(looking at the inspector and others)Hu..hume supari di gayi thi ki is hospital ke ICU me ek aadmi ko maarna hai….
Ajay:Supari…..?!

Everyone looked at each other.

Shorty: Ha…haan saab.
Dipika:(angrily)Kisne di?
Shorty:Vo…vo…..

Ajay from behind did an action like hitting him in the place he had before(you must know the place). The guy squirmed and shouted….

Shorty: Nai…..nahi…….. bata…batata hoon……

Dipika started at him shouting suddenly.Ajay just nodded his head.

Shorty:(continuing in a lower voice) Uska naam Kamaar bhai hai. Lekin humne unhe kabhi dekha nahin. Yahan ek ward boy kaam karta hai, jisne hume ye kaam diya tha.
Inspector:(shocked)Kamaar…. Matlab vo yaheen hai…..??!!
Shorty:Pata nahin saab, unse humari baat tak nahin hui hai. Us ward boy ne hi bataya tha ki uska naam Kamaar hai.

The others looked at the inspector confused.

Inspector: (looking at others)Kamaar, ek bahut bada goonda. Haal hi me use court me sazaa di gayi thi, umar kaid ki.Lekin jail le jaane ke raasthe me vo bach nikla.

Dipika: Tumne kaha yahan ek ward boy ne tumhari madad ki , koun hai?
Shorty: Vo, uska naam Shyam hai.
Boxer: Kahan hai vo ab?
Shorty:Humne use aakhri baar hospital us ICU ke baahar dekha.
Ajay: Kya yahan, ab..??!!

The others looked shocked. By now if he had known the news he would have escaped. They have to find him fast.

Dipika:Ab tak to vo hoshiyaar ho gaya hoga aur shayad us Kamaar ko bhi bata diya hoga.(looking at Ajay and Boxer) Ajay, Boxer tum jaldi jaakar use doondo.

Ajay, Boxer nodded and immediately went out.

The inspector took out his cell phone and contacted the control room for extra back up to take the goons away.

Inspector:(turned towards Dipika) Madam ab to us ward boy ke pakde jaane par hi Kamaar ka pata chalega. Tab tak to hume intezaar karna padega.

Dipika nodded and they all waited for Ajay and Boxer to return.

Hospital Ground Floors, outside the room………

Ajay:Lo, kal lo baat. Ye to aisi ho gayi ki ek bade se ghaass ki tokri me suyi dhoondne ki.
Boxer:(putting hands on his shoulder, his usual self again, smoking his pen) Are Mamu, ye itna bhi mushkil nahin hai. Kisi ward boy ko poochenge to pata chal jayega.
Ajay:Haan, lekin ab tak vo bhaag na gaya ho. And he better start praying too. Kyunki agar vo bhaag bhi gaya to, hum to use dhoondh hi lenge.Aur uski kheir nahin rahegi.

Ajay puts his fist together and mashes the them.Boxer pats his shoulders and calls out to a ward boy who passed by them.

Boxer:Are bhai, rookhna.

The ward boy stopped and turned towards him.

Ward Boy:Saab…..
Boxer:Kya yahan Shyam naam ka koi ward boy kaam karta hai?
Ward Boy:Ha…Haan.. Saab, lekin aap kyuon pooch rahe hain.

Hospital Third Floor Stairs….

The ward boy Shyam was coming down the stairs from third floor to second floor.

Shyam:(to himself,looking all the sides)Pata nahin kya hua?Lagta hai ki un dono ne kuch gadbad kar di. Pata nahin ki alarm bajne se vo pakde gaye ya…….. kya hua?

Slowly he comes down.He remembered what had happened when he was in the room which the doctor had said to clean up.

Around 4 O'clock……

Suddenly there was an alarm ringing in the hospital.No one knew from where it was. Shyam had immediately come out to investigate as he was suspicious. He had come to second floor and saw that there was a lot of confusion going on outside the ICU.Yes, the alarm had rung from the second floor ICU.

He didn't stay there even for a minute.He immediately went back to the room where he was working and thought that he must immediately escape from this hospital. But there was a big problem.

Been night time all the doors and windows of the hospital were automatically locked. They were opened only in the morning at 6 O'clock. He had to somehow hide till the hospital uproar silences and the first thing the doors open, he must escape.

Ground Floor.……

The ward boy looked at them suspiciously and tried to back off. Ajay came forward and put hands on his shoulder, he started walking towards the reception and smiling, says…….

Ajay:Are, are……. Ghabarao mat. Kuch nahin. Vo kya hai hum CCTN channel se aaye hain. Humne ek award function shuroo kiya hai, naam…."Sewak Awards". To usme naa, is hospital ke Shyam ko best ward boy ka award dene walein hai, to uske liye usse milna hai.
Ward Boy:(eyes widening)Such saab…. Lekin ab tak aisa koi awad.. nahin tha..?

Boxer just follows them, smoking as usual and smiling at the way Ajay was handling him.

Ajay:Vo…Isee saal ko to shuru kiya hai naa. Aap logon ki seva ka pata sab ko chalna chahiye naa isiliye…….
Ward Boy:(scratching his head and smiling sheepishly)Saab….humre ke liye awaard…?
Ajay:Er……..(thinking of how to handle this,immediately)Aapka naam ji…?
Ward Boy:(eagerly)Soham saab…..
Ajay:O… Aap Soham hain.Wah, wah…(shaking hands) Aapke pass hi to aane wale the, Shyam ko milkar. Aapke liye to ek badaa award mila hai naa. "Best Informee". Ye isliye hai, kyunki aap sab se itna acchha ,milte hain, kise jo koi kaam ho ya baat jaananei ho to, aap ke paas aate hain naa. Such hai naa?
Ward Boy:(smiling proudly and lifting his clollar)Haan saab, such hai. Sab mere paas hi aate hain.
Saab aap Shyam ko pooch rahe the naa, uska kaam theesre manzil me hai. Me aapko khud le chalta hoon.
Ajay:Nahin, nahin.. aap kyun kasht karte hain. Hum khud chale jaate hain.Aap to sirf interview ki taiyaaree kejiye,haan……

Third floor landing.……

Shyam was thinking what to do now.He was standing near the landing of stairs from third floor. He peeped and saw two constables outside the ICU.

He came down slowly and passed the constables. He was like trying to run, but stopped, as the constables may doubt him.He immediately went down the stairs having a look at the constables.The constables looked on and Shyam went down.

Shyam:(to himself) Ab sirf reception me yaa kahin chup jaana hoga. Sirf pandrah minute hai…….Phir mujhe yahan se jaldi rafaa dafaa hona chahiye. Ye Kamaar bhai ka cell bhi nahi lag raha(trying his cell phone)

5:45 a.m.……

By now Ajay and Boxer had come to the turning to the reception.Ajay stopped.

Ward Boy:Haan saab, shukriyia.Aur saab aap ko mujhe dhoondhna bhi nahi padega, main isi manzil me kaam karta hoon.Kisi bhi kamre me hoonga.
Ajay:Haan, haan.Zaroor.Yaad rakhenge.Ab aap jake ready ho jaana.Theek hai…?

The ward boy nods away happily and goes.Ajay turns towards Boxer and Boxer shakes his head disbelievingly and smiles.Ajay too just gives a smile and lifts his collar.

Then they become serious and Boxer peeps around the corner.

Boxer:Maamu, hume stair se jaana hoga.Vo reporters abhi yaheen hain.Hume dekha to,gadbad ho jayegi aur mummy ko jawaab nahin de sakte.
Ajay:Haan.Theek hai. Teen par………...

Boxer looks back and nods.

One, two, three………. Ajay counted. Ajay and Boxer stealthily went up the stairs barely avoiding the eyes of the reporters. All the reporters seem to have relaxed a bit now and everyone were discussing something among them, so no one noticed them.

First Floor Landing…………..

Boxer:(trying to save his breath) Pata nahin maamu ki in reporters ki kya problem hai. News ko public tak pahoonchane ki koshish me humara kaam mushkil karte hain hamesha.(shaking his head)
Ajay:(nodding) Vo to hai bhai. Lekin har baar humse takkar karte hain aur naak bhi katvate hain…….. Vo bhi Aryan………..

Ajay stopped, he remembered Aryan and couldn't continue.He became upset. Boxer saw Ajay's upset face and put a hand on his shoulders and continued what Ajay wanted to say.

Boxer:(in a sullen tone)…..Aryan to inse nafrat karta tha, hamesha case me taang ladate aur Aryan inka acchha khitmat karta.

Ajay looked at Boxer, nodded and smiled a bit. They both immediately came back to the work they were supposed to do and went up the stairs.

They saw a ward boy pass them down the stairs.

They reached the second floor. They had a look towards the ICU. They wanted to have a see through of Aryan, but duty calls, so……. They started up the stairs when a nurse was coming down from the third floor stairs. Ajay stopped her and asked...............

Ajay: Excuse me mam……… Ward boy Shyam kahan milega..?

Hearing the name Shyam, the ward boy stunned looked up from the first floor landing.

Nurse:(looking at him strangely) Kya sir aap bhi…….. Jise abhi pass kiya usi ke bare me pooch rahe hain…?
Boxer:(shocked)Kya……..?

Boxer was standing near the stair railings of the second floor. He immediately looked down and saw the ward boy staring back from the first floor landing. Without a moment's hesitation the ward boy immediately took off.

Boxer:(shouting) Ajay……. Jaldi........ vo bhaag raha hai……..

Boxer and Ajay immediately jumped over the railing, from half way up the stairs to the next stairs down.
Inside the ward boy's changing room………………

A cell phone rang. Everyone looked around to see who's it was. It was the inspector's. The inspector attended the call.

Inspector: Haan Dinesh… bolo
……………………………………….
Inspector: Hmm…….. Nahi…. Ek minute……

The inspector looked at Dipika and asked……….

Inspector:Madam, back up force aa gaye hain. Lekin hospital ke bahar crowd ke wajah se andar nahi aa sake hain. Thodi door khade hain…….. Unhe force se andar aanaa hoga………
Dipika: Nahi…….. Ab tak to vo ward boy bhi pakda nahi gaya hai……. Agar vo andar aane ki koshish karte to reporters unhe nahi chodenge………

The inspector nodded.

Inspector:To……….
Dipika:Unhe hospital se paanch minute doori par kaheen wait karne ke liye kahiye. Jab unki zaroorat hogi bula lenge.

The inspector nodded and conveyed this over the phone. He disconnected the call and looked back at Dipika.

Inspector:Madam….. bahut der ho gayi………..
Dipika:(looking tensed) Haan inspector. Main bhi yahi soch rahi hoon. Kahin vo ward boy bach na nikal gaya ho……… Varna us Kamaar ko pakadna mushkil ho jayega…. Pata nahi Ajay aur Boxer kya kar rahe hain…………?

First Floor Landing………………

Shyam ran down the stairs as fast as he could. Boxer and Ajay ran covered the steps two at a time and followed him.

Shyam came to the ground floor and breathing heavily looked around where to escape. The front door was closed with reporters outside, so he took off towards the back corridor. His sudden appearance and disappearance caused the people in the area to look around.

Now, of course the reporters were here for news so immediately tried to capture the inside scenes. But alas, the glass doors were covered by ward boys and watchmen, so they couldn't exactly note the happening.

They had even tried to get into the hospital through other ways but all were locked and guarded by some or the other hospital staff. They were instructed not to leave their place, untill they were instructed to do so.

Ground Floor…………..

Ajay and Boxer came down and looked around. They just saw a white uniform disappearing fast, behind at the back corridor. They immediately ran that way. Looking left and right they saw Shyam running left of the corridor.

Ajay:Oye……… Rook………. Varna goli chala doonga……..

Ajay immediately took out his gun and aimed at Shyam. He had no intention of shooting him, it was just for threatening. If circumstances insisted, he would shoot to stop him only.

Shyam looked one second behind, but continued running.

Inside the ward boy changing room……………..

Dipika: Kya………

Everyone inside the room looked towards the room door. The goons tied up also looked at each other. They had heard a commotion outside. Immediately the inspector went to look outside followed by Dipika and Neha. Shotgun started out from his place, but in time Dipika looked behind……

Dipika: Shotgun, tum yaheen rehna…….. Inko bachane ka chaal ho sakta hai.

Saying this she immediately went outside.Shotgun looked at the goons, nodded and stayed back.

Outside the ward boy changing room……………..

Bang……………..

Shyam had hit with someone coming out from a room. Both the hitter and the hit were stunned and fell back.

Hearing all the commotion a crowd had again started to form outside the room.

Ajay and Boxer came to Shyam and caught him before he could stabilize himself. Shyam was surely unlucky and our Special Squad team fortunate.

After a moment's of silence, Finally everyone looked to see what had happened.

Shyam had collided with the Inspector coming out of the room. The inspector had collided and backed off towards the door. He hit Neha and inturn Neha hit Dipika and everyone stumbled. But in time Neha caught the door handle and steadied herself, and Dipika also.

At last………………. When everyone had steadied themselves and calmed down………..

Outside the ward boy changing room……………..

Dipika came outside and looked at Ajay and Boxer.

Dipika:Kya hua………. Aur ye……..(looking at the ward boy they had caught, knowing the answer but wanting to confirm)
Boxer:Ye sahib zaade hain Shyam……..

Dipika nodded………

Neha stared at him angrily and started to some front to show her anger on him, but Dipika stopped her in time.

Dipika:(to Ajay and Boxer) Ise andar leke aanaa………

Saying this she dragged Neha inside. Ajay and Boxer followed with the goon.

The crowd were trying to press around the room.

Inspector:(stopping the crowd)Kya ho raha hai yahan? Chalo chalo, apna apna kaam karo. Koi yahan nahi rookega varna use arrest kar diya jayega.

Hearing this the crowd immediately dipersed. The inspector waited outside till the last person had disapeared from sight and went inside. He came inside and locked the door behind him.

Inside the ward boy changing room ……….

Dipika and Neha were inside near the window. Dipika was rubbing her hand knee caps, where she had hit the door. Neha was twisting her wrist, looks like she sprained it while trying to steady herself.

Ajay and Boxer followed with Shyam and pushed him to chair. Just as he sat down, he saw that the two goons were caught. He was surprised and shocked. But he now became scared.Ajay looked around and found a rope used to tie sacks. He took it and tied Shyam's hands and legs.

Then he got up to look at Neha…………. Seeing her rubbing her wrist, he became concerned and went to her………………

Ajay: (taking her wrist, worried) Kya…… Kya hua………. ?(her wrist was a bit swollen)
Neha:(smiling at seeing him so worried about her) Kuch nahi Ajay. Jab vo takkar hua, to darwaze se lag gaya.
Ajay:Oh……(getting angry) Ye sab us……. Shyam……..

Saying this he started to have a go at Shyam. But Neha stopped him……..

Neha:(in a voice which she knew Ajay cannot override) Ajay……… (Ajay looked at her angrily) Please ab nahi………

Ajay immediately calmed down and took her hand to massage it. Neha just ruffled his hair and smiled. He cares so much for her.

Dipika was just a silent observer of all that was happening. She saw Neha and just smiled.

Then she went upto Shyam to have a good look at him. Then she looked at Boxer and nodded. Dipika then stepped back to her position and leaned against the window, to watch the interrogation.

Inside the ward boy's changing room……….

The inspector had by now come inside and went upto Shyam. Boxer and the inspector stood side by side to Shyam.

Inspector:(lifting Shyam's face with his stick, surprised) Tum…….. tum ho Shyam ……?

Shyam didn't reply. But just hung his head down.

Boxer:(holding Shyam's chin and taking his face close to his) Dekho…… chup rehke kuch nahi hoga. Tumhe pata hai ki, hume pata hai ki, tum kis keliye kaam karte ho. Lekin vo kya hai, hume khud culprit ke muh se unki kahaani sunana pasand karte hain. To…………

Shyam looked up and seeing Boxer's face got scared even more. He took a look around and knew he was caught. There was no escape route or anything.

Just then a cell phone rang. It was Dipika's……………

Dipika saw the number and immediately attended the call……….

Dipika:Cathy… kya hua…….Any problem……….?

Hearing Cathy's name, everyone turned around immediately. Was there any problem…….?! Aryan……..??

Dipika:Oh…(relaxing) Nahi……… Hum ground floor par hi hain. Yahan Aryan ko maarne ki saazish me, pata chala hai ki koi ward boy ka haath hai. Use pakdne ki koshish me ye commotion hua…

The others also relaxed knowing that nothing was the problem.

Dipika:Vo…… Shyam naam hai uska…….
……………………………….
Dipika:(in a consoling tone) Comon Cathy…….. Isme tumhari koi galti nahi hai.

Dipika:Haan(looking at Shyam) Use hi interrogate karne wale hain.
……………………………..
Dipika:Kya…… cheh baje……..(looking at her watch)But Cathy we can't afford that.
……………………............
Dipika:To phir……
……………………………
Dipika: Oh……. Cathy thanks a lot. Please jo ho sake karna.
……………………………
Dipika:Thanks.Main tumse baad me aake sab kuch explain karti hoon. Ab interrogation chal raha hai…….
……………………………..
Dipika:Ok…… bye.

Dipika cut the phone and looked at everyone. Then she indicated to Boxer to continue.

Inside the ward boy changing room….

Boxer looked at Shyam……..

Boxer:(slapping him hard) Abe…….. Muh kholta hai ya khulvaanaa padega. Hume pata hai ki Kamaar ne tumhe paisa diya tha ye kaam karne ke liye. Kahan hai vo Kamaar…..? Bol…….. Varna……
Shyam:(stuttering) Saab… nahi…….. batata hoon……… batata hoon…… Yaheen hai Kamaar bhai.

Everyone were shocked. Here………But……..??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dipika shocked came forward to listen to him more clearly.

Inspector:Kya bol raha hai. Yahan……. Yahan kahan……?
Shyam: Mere…. Mere quarters…..
Dipika:(surprised at what was it)Quarters………?
Boxer:(in a threatening tone)Kahan hai tumhara quarters?
Shyam:Vo.. pichvade me…
Boxer:(shocked) Pichva……

Boxer looked at Dipika. Hospital quarters…..??!!

Dipika:Hospital ke compound me?
Shyam:Haan…haan madam.

Dipika put her hand on her head. My God...... what's happening......... He has been here all this time...??!!

Everyone looked at each other. What if the news about the operation failure had reached him, he would have escaped. …….???!!!

Dipika:(voicing everyone's thoughts)Kya us Kamaar ko pata hai ki yahan kya hua?

Shyam didn't reply.

Shyam:(stuttering) Nahi madam… lagta to nahi. Kyunki Kamaar bhai ko yahaan mere siva koi nahi jaanta. Maine unse kaha tha ki kaam hone ke baad me khud unke pass aaoonga. Aur saath rafaa dafaa hone ka plan tha .
Boxer:(sort of happy tone)To matlab, vo Kamaar yaheen hai….?
Shyam:Haan. Saab……. Lagta to yahi hai. Lekin uska phone nahi lag raha tha.

Boxer looked at Dipika. Now they had to act fast and catch that Kamaar.

Inspector:(to Dipika) Madam, we have to act fast. Hume jaldi Kamaar ko pakadna hai, varna agar vo is baar bach gaya to mushkil ho jayegi. Waise bhi Anna Kartoos ke case ke karan sab Don underground hone ki koshish me hain……….
Dipika:(shocked, surprised, stunned) Anna Kartoos………….

Everyone else were also shocked. Now where the heck did this Anna Kartoos come from.? Wasn't he… err….. matlab……she dead? But no one knows it……

Inspector:Haan madam… ye Kamaar Anna Kartoos ke liye kaam karta hai. Sare bahar ke dealings ye, Anna ke liye karta hai, kyunki vo to bahar nahi aati thi naa.
Dipika:Oh…………….(understanding)

Now everything was becoming clear, as to why Aryan was to be murdered.

Inside the ward boy changing room….

Dipika:(coming out of her stance)Inspector, Kamaar ko pakadne ke liye, kuch aur police force ki zaroorat hogi.

Inspector:Police force jo ab wait kar rahi hai…………

Dipika:(nodding and started to pace the floor) Haan unhi ki baat kar rahi hoon. Lekin vo samne wale darwaze se nahi aa sakte…….. We have to find some other way….. Aur time bhi bahut kam hai. Cathy ne bataya ki unki automatic door locking system subah ke cheh bajhe khulti hai. Lekin agar har darwaaza khul gaya, then anyone can come in and it would cause confusion. Usne kaha hai ki vo six-thirty tak, doors ko band kar rakh sakti hai. Been a hospital she can't keep it locked for long aur visiting hours saath baje ka hai. We have to think of some way……

Now they had very little time.Everyone were thinking of how to get the police force inside without the reporters knowledge or making a commotion…..

After a moment's thinking……

Neha:Dipika……….

Dipika turned towards Neha.


Neha:Ye hospital ka campus bahut bada hai. To zahir hai iska koi back entrance ho aur vo bhi staff quarters ke pass hi…….. Zaroor hoga, kyunki staff ke family ko hospital ke main route se to bahar aane jaane ki permission nahi hogi. Regular use ke liye ek separate raasta to hoga.Bahut confusion aur unnecessary bheed jama naa ho, isliye.

Dipika:(thinking) You are right Neha…. Its possible, lekin confirm karna padega ki back route kahan hai? Aur usko use karne ke liye permission……. Shayad lock kiya gaya ho…….

Neha:Er… Catherine……..

Dipika:(nodding and thinking)Main bhi wahi soch rahi thi.. Main use call karke poochthi hoon.

Dipika dialed Catherine's number…….

Dipika: Er….. Cathy…… tumse ek help chahiye thi……

Dipika: Vo kya hai, pata chala hai ki ek goonda jiskeliye ye ward boy kaam ka raha tha, vo isi campus me hai.

Dipika:Haan…… staff quarters me chipaa hai…

Dipika:Nahi…….. Vo is hospital campus me koi doosra raasta, something at the back hai kya..?

Dipika:Thank God.. Us raaste se hum extra police force lana chahte hain. You know ki, samne ke darwaze par kitni bheed jami hai. Agar is confusion ki bhanak bhi us aadmi ko laqg gayi, to he will become abscond…..

Dipika:Haan……. Theek hai……… Thanks a lot Cathy.

Dipika:Sure, batathi hoon… bye.

Dipika cut the phone and looked at the others.

Dipika:(happily) She said there is a entrance. Far left corner me. Kaha hai ki wahan ke watchman ko khabar kar degi….

Ajay:Ab sirf us Kamaar ke bacchhe ko haath lagne do….

Dipika just ignored him, but noted in her mind to give Ajay and Boxer a piece of her mind later on.

Dipika:(to Inspector)Sir, aap apne forces ko peeche aane ki orders de dijiye. Aur please entry silent honi chahiye…

The inspector dialed his phone and gave the needed instructions to the force waiting. After talking, he looked up.

Inspector: Madam, kya chalein…….?Inside the ward boy changing room….

Before Dipika could respond…….

Neha:Agar, sab log nikal gaye… agar koi dekh raha ho to use pata chal jayega……
Dipika:(nodding)Haan,Ispector……. Sabhi ko jaane ki zaroorat nahi hai naa…. Waise bhi in goondon ko bahar kyun le jayein. Agar ek bhi chance mila to they will escape. Ek kaam kiliye aap Boxer aur Ajay ke saath jayiye. Hum yaheen wait karte hain. Shyam ko to aapko le jaana hi hai, kyunki use hi pata hai uska flat kounsa hai….
Neha:Dipika…. Vo Kamaar waheen hoga naa…… Kaheen bhaag…. Ab tak to hospital me kuch commotion hai, iski khabar to use zaroor pahoonchi hogi……


Dipika looked at Neha and thought. Yes that is a matter to be thought of. But how to ensure it………

Just then a cell phone rang. Everyone looked at their respective phones, but none was ringing. Then whose was it…………????!!!!!!!!

Boxer looked around to see whose phone was ringing, when he saw that Shyam had a look like been guilty or something, shifting his eyes. He immdetiately checked his pocket and got a cell phone. That was the phone which was ringing.

Everyone's attention immdetiately turned towards him. Boxer saw that a name was displayed on the modile screen….

Boxer:(surprised) K…. ye K koun hai?

Dipika came to Boxer and took the phone. She was surprised to see the alphabet displayed. Ajay came behind Dipika and also took a look. The phone had by now stopped ringing.

Ajay: Ye K….. (looking at Shyam, he saw that he was very shifty) Kaheen Kammar to nahi……

Dipika and Boxer looked at each other. Yes…… at this time only he could phone. They looked at Shyam……. Seeing him getting afraid they knew that they had guessed right. The inspector lifted up his chin………..

Inspector:Aye…… bol sahi hai kya? Ye K, Kamaar ka hi phone hai kya?
Shyam:(getting scared) Haan…. Haan….. saab. Useeka ka hai..

Everyone were surprised and shocked. Did the phone mean that Kammar was not out of reach? Maybe he is trying to ensure something with Shyam……..???

Boxer:Hmm…. Ek idea hai….

Inside the ward boy changing room….

Everyone looked at Boxer thoughtfully………

Boxer:Ye bhaanjhe hain naa humare 😆 (indicating Shyam) Issse us Kamaar ko phone karvane ko kehte hain. Agar phone lag gaya, to kehte hain ki operation success hua. Phir use waheen wait karne ke liye kehte hain taakee ye unke saath nikal sake.

Dipika:Haan…… acchha idea hai Boxer…. Issse vo waheen wait karega…… aur hume bhi aasaan ho jayega..

The phone had started to ring again……….

Dipika looked at phone and nodded. Yes, it was Kamaar's number. She handed over the phone to Boxer. Boxer went upto Shyam.

Boxer:(in a rough voice)Oye…… Suna tha naa ki maine kya kaha…?

Shyam didn't reply.

Ajay got irritated and came forward fast. He hit him hard in his stomach…… Shyam squirmed with pain.Dipika started at such a reaction.

Dipika:(warningly) Ajay………. Kya kar rahe ho….? 😡

He looked at Dipika and looked like he was sorry 😕 , not that he was, of course 😉 .

Immediately before Dipika could start her lecture…….

Ajay:(he turned back to Shyam)Ye shaane. Time kyun waste karta hai. Jo poocha jaye bata aur jo kaha jaye kar. Aise bhaite rahega to maar hi khayega.

Shyam looked up again and just nodded.

Ajay:Haan……Good boy……

Ajay took his hand near him to pat his cheek, but Shyam thought he was going to beat him again and backed his head. 😆

Ajay:Are are…… darta kyun hai…….. Ab Boxer bhai jo kahe vo karna haa…….. acchha bacchha.,….

Boxer smiled at Ajay and indicated ajeeb insaan ho. Ajay too smiled back and indicated to go on. 😆 😆

Boxer attended the call, put the phone over speaker mode and kept the phone near Shyam's mouth. He silently indicated to speak.

Other End:(hurried tone) Hello…… Shyam…. Hello…. Shyam wahaan ho kya…?

Inside Ward Boy's Changing Room…….

When Shyam was hesitating, Ajay acted like hitting him again. Shyam immediately turned his head towards the phone…….

Shyam:(stammering) Kam… Kamaar bhai….
Other End: Shyam wahaan ho kya..? Kya hua? News pe kuch hospital ke bare me bola jaa raha hai? Kya hai vo aur kaam ban gaya kya?

News……. Dipika and others looked at each other. What news…????!!!!!!!! 😕

Dipika:(silently mouthed) News kya hai….? Issse(indicating Shyam) poochne ko kaho.

Boxer nodded and he tapped Shyam on the shoulder. He also mouthed to ask Kamaar what the news was.

Shyam just looked and turned back to the conversation.

Shyam: Bhai…. Kya news?
Other End:Are news flash ho raha hai ki, hospital me kuch goonde ghus aaye hain aur Special Squad isme hai.

Oh….. o….. So they had started to flash the headlines. What the damn do these reporters do? They don't even know the full news, but start to flash anything………… 😡

Everyone was frustrated on hearing this. But they turned back their attention to the conversation.

Boxer indicated Shyam to go on.

Shyam:(trying to sound cheerful)Are bhai……… agar Spesal Squard ka koi maara gaya ho to news bahar nikalegi naa…..(trying to laugh mockingly)
Other End:(shocked, but sounding very happy) Kya…….. kya baat kar raha hai. Iska matlab kaam ban gaya….?
Shyam:Haan.. haan bhai. Sacchhi….. aap kahe aur hum naa kare….. Aisa thodi hota hai…
Other End:(doubting)Lekin vo news……???!!!! Kaheen vo dono pakade gaye to nahi…

Before Shyam could answer,suddenly someone from behind tried to shout something. Then there was some strange gargling sound. Everyone turned to see what it was. 😲Inside Ward Boy's Changing Room……..

They found Shotgun closing the mouth of the moustache guy. That stupid, bheejaa loose guy was trying to warn Kamaar over the phone. Thank God Shotgun had stopped in time. Ajay immediately came to the guy and gave a silent punch over his face. 😉

Dipika didn't have time to stop him. She came forward fast and held Ajay's hand and stared at him. 😡

Baap re…….. if stares could burn, surely Ajay would have been ashes now.

Other End: Shyam…….. Shyam….. kya hua…… koi aaya kya….? 😕

Boxer was looking behind to see what was happening. In all the diversions everyone had forgotten the conversation momentarily. Immediately everyone turned back to it.

Dipika left Ajay's hand and silently indicated to plaster both the goons mouth. Then she went back to listen to the conversation.

Boxer was telling Shyam not to tell anything and to handle the interruption.

Other End:Shyam……

Shyam:(trying to sound calm)Bhai… kuch nahi….. koi ward boy apne kapde lene aaya tha…………

Other End: To batao kya hua?

Shyam:Er… bhai maine kaha naa……..kaam ban gaya. Galti se alarm baj gaya ta naa, isiliye ye sab news wale baat ko bada chadakar keh rahe hain. Waise kal tak to sab ko pata chal jayega. Ab tak hospital wale khaamosh hain is bare me, isiliye kisi ko kuch nahi pata.

Other End:(sounding very happy, his voice bubbling)Acchhi baat hai……. Hume to inaam bahut milne wala hai aur tumhe bhi Shyam. Waise maine kaha naa kaam khatam kar hume rafaa dafaa hona hai. Ab to tumhe yahan hona chahiye……..

Shyam was stuttering. He didn't know how to answer this.

Shyam:Vo…… 😕

Everyone looked at each other. Now what……? How to handle this…..? Hope their plan works….

Inside Ward Boys' Changing Room…..

Dipika immediately took a paper and pen from a near table. She wrote something and gave it to Boxer. Boxer read the paper and immediately showed it to Shyam. Shyam understood and he continued……..

Shyam:Bhai…….. bahar vo news wale khade hai naa. Unse aankh bachaake aana hai, varna mujhe pakad lenge………….. er.. ye jaanane ke liye ki andar kya hua tha. Aur darwazaa bhi sade cheh hi khulega.

Other End:Are teri buddhhi ghaas charne gayi hai kaa……? Sade cheh to bajne ko aye hain.

Hearing this everyone looked at their watches. Oh….. yes it was five minutes to six-thirty. How fast the time had flown…….

Shyam again lost for words looked at Boxer. Boxer mouthed " Haan aa raha hoon"

Shyam:To theek hai bhai. Jaise hi darwaaza khulega me aata hoon.(Seeing Boxer) Balki abhi nikal ta hoon. Aap waheen wait karna. Bhai chodna mat bhai………(in a sort of pleading tone)

Other End:Are……… tu to mera munna hai re. Mere liye itna bada kaam kiya hai. Jaldi aana. Ticket sab taiyaar bhi hai.. jaldi aa.

Shyam:Theek hai bhai….. rakhta hoon.

Other End:Abe rakh naa…. Tabhi to aayega……..

An engaged beep tone sounded from the other end. Boxer also cut the phone.

So, finally the plan was formed. But now they had only five minutes to move out to get Kamaar……………

Inside Ward Boys' Changing Room…..

Dipika:(to the inspector) Sir aap jaldi nikaliyee.(to Boxer) Boxer, (looking at Ajay) Ajay…( she gave a curt nod)

Boxer and Ajay also nodded and moved on. Ajay removed the knots around Shyam and pulled him out of the chair. He tied Shyam's hands at the back and pushed him forward. Ajay followed him, then Boxer and the inspector. Dipika went upto the door and saw them leaving to the corridor door, at the far left end of the corridor.

As already arranged by Catherine, a nurse was waiting by the door. She typed a code in the computerized lock by the door. The door opened and the team left. The nurse typed back a code and left too.

Dipika saw till they disappeared and then came inside and closed the door. Now it was all about waiting to get that Kamaar………………….. 😡

The wait was very long, a very long one too...... 😕

Dipika was sitting on a chair and Neha was standing by the window, looking outside.

Shotgun was keeping an eye over the goons, pacing behind them.

Sunlight had started to creep into room, through the strip shades. A light hustle of the street outside could be heard.

Dipika sat wondering where had everything gone wrong?

She thought of Aryan………… She felt her chest squeezing with pain. She couldn't bear it. 😭

Then she let herself to ponder her feelings for Aryan. What should she make out of it…….? She had always thought about it before. She had felt her relation and attitude change towards Arayn lately…………… 😛

Yes, some times before, she did feel strange when Aryan was around. A bliss that kept her waking so many nights. This confidentiality, she didn't confide in anyone. Because she herself was unaware of what she must think about it.

She looked at Neha who had her back turned towards her. Neha was the one who told her that her feelings for Aryan had changed. She had actually refused herself of that. But after that, many a times, she had felt herself drawn towards him.

Why…? She had asked this a hundred a times. Pity, care, his loneliness…. What? She had cared for Aryan and scolded him for not taking care of his health properly. She had done that out of concern for a colleague. But now was it so……..?

No, she was in love. She had to accept it, not that she didn't want to. 😳

She thought of the moment she had hugged Aryan, to allow her fears to flow down. The times Aryan had touched her. Without her realising a smile appeared on Dipika's face. 😊 😳

Neha turned around casually and looked at Dipika. She seemed in a very intense thought. She was smiling also in a way Neha knew too well, that could appear on a women's face, only on thinking about someone who was dear. And Neha didn't have her doubts.

She graciously allowed a smile to spread on her face as well. 😊

Outside the Hopital……..

It was chill outside. It was dark still, the sun was just starting to show its rays, so no one could exactly see what or who were going around. Also people were few around, mostly staffs changing duty…..

Boxer:(pushing Shyam forward) Ae jaldi chal….

Boxer, Ajay and The Inspector along with Shyam walked fast towards the staff quarters… Ajay looked around cautiously. He was still suspicious as to whether anyone was following them….

Ajay:(to no one specifically) Ajeeb baat hai…..

Boxer: (looking at Ajay) Kya hua maamu….? Kya ajeeb hai?

Ajay:(acting like thinking hard) Yahi ki…. Ek bhi reporter nahi hai… Humara kaam bahut aasaan hota hua nazar aa raha hai..

Boxer:(smiling) Are maamu… Sab saamne honge, kisi se ye pata lagan eke liye ki andar kya ho raha hai… Humare liye to acchha hi hai naa…

Ajay started to nod and he stopped mid way. Just then an alarm had sounded. Boxer, Ajay and the Inspector looked at each other, but kept walking….

What was that alarm??!!

Boxer:(voicing everyone's thought) Shayad shift change aur automatic locks ke khulne ki alarm hai… (To Shyam) Kyun be, theek hai naa?

Shyam: Haa… haan saab.

Inspector:(looking around)Tab to hume jaldi karna chahiye. Agar kisi ne hume aise kaheen jaate hue dekha to gadbad ho sakti hai.

Ajay:(looking forward) Iski koi zaroorat nahi hogi Inspector saab..

The Inspector surprised looked at Ajay and then towards where he was seeing. He agreed as they had just reached the staff quarters gate.

Just as the hustle had started to increase around the hospital, they rushed into the staff quarters. They immediately went into a flat's first floor and decided the next move.

Ajay, Boxer and The Inspector just looked on at Shyam…. Shyam looked up and knew what they wanted…

Shyam: Vo Saab, yahaan se tessri flat hai, flat 'B'. Usme doosri manzil hai. Number paanch.

Ajay, Boxer and The Inspector nodded at each other. Just then a nearby door opened and a sleepy women came out to put a vessel for the milkman.

Seeing the troop, she was stunned and stood still for a while her mouth opened wide. She got scared and slammed the door shut.

Ajay and Boxer just looked at each other smiled and shrugged. They looked around at the Inspector and saw he was talking over the phone…..

Inspector:….. Flat B 5 hai. Baahar aa jaana, hum waheen honge…. Jaldi. We don't have time to waste.

The four of them came outside and proceeded towards the Flat B. Many people had started to come out and were surprised to see that a hospital staff was led by men and police too. They didn't want to interfere in the matter and didn't ask any details. But were rooted to their spot and watching them.

Outside Staff Quarters…..

Just as Ajay,Boxer,The Inspector and Shyam reached Flat B, the other backup police had also reached.

Inspector: (To another Inpector) Is flat ke baahar raho. Spread out.. Hum upar jaate hain. Paanch constables mere saath aaoo. Lekin yaad rahe koi aawaaz nahi. Every policemen nodded and went to take positions. Two policemen were trying to stop the over curious crowd from nearing the flat.

The Inspector turned towards Ajay and Boxer……

Inspector: To chalein….??

Both of them nodded and the inspector led the way into the flat. Ajay pushing Shyam forward and following up the stairs. Boxer was about to follow Ajay up, when he stopped, thinking…

Boxer: Maamu (Ajay turned behind) Tum jao, main abhi aata hoon….

Ajay:Lekin bhai….. ??!!

Ajay was confused. Where did boxer want to go now when they were going to get that Kamaar…???????!!!!!!!!!

He knew Boxer was not off any mission without any erason. He actually hadn't gone off any case like this.... Maybe he has a reason..... But still.. ??!!

Boxer:Main keh raha hoon naa. Tum jao…. Main abhi aata hoon…

Saying this Boxer disappeared out of the flat. Ajay was surprised, but proceeded upstairs. The Inspector was satnding half way through the stairs. Seeing Ajay continuing up, he too started. The other constables followed.

Inside Ward Boys' Changing Room…..

From the day Dipika had chosen this profession she hadn't care to look at her life, she actually didn't feel the need. But now….?❓ When she had first entered Special Squad, she was surprised at how a man could be so obsessed with crime solving. But that had later on turned into admiration and now love.

But Dipika had her doubts? Aryan……. Would he accept?😕 He had given his life to Special Squad. Also a fact she had to accept, Shaina had left a mark behind. What about that? She couldn't come to any conclusion. 😒

Dipika's smile vanished and her eyes glistened.

Dipika was still looking at Neha, thinking all the while. Neha seeing her smile vanish went upto her. She sat beside her and took a closer look at her.

Dipika's eyes were glistening from tears.

Neha:(caring)Dipika……

Dipika came out of her thoughts. A tear or two flowed down Dipika's cheeks without her aware of that.

Dipika:(just wiped the tears hurriedly) Haan… Neha?

Neha:(knowingly)What are you engrossed about?

Dipika just looked at Neha. She didn't know how to put her dilemma, in front of her. But more than anyone in Special Squad, Neha understood her very well.

They had become very understanding and they shared a beautiful bond of friendhsip, unknowingly to each other, but knowing themselves😳

In the Staff Quarters……..

Ajay, Shyam and the other police officers reached the outside of the flat, which Shyam indicated as where he lived……..

Cautiously Ajay silenced the other police officers. He stood to the left of the door, indicated the Inspector to stand to its left and other police officers behind the Inspector.

They pulled out their guns and held it upto their chest level. Only Shyam was standing in front of the door, which had an eye hole. Then Ajay indicated Shyam to the knock the door. Shyam nodded and tapped the door four times.

After a long pause, which made the Inspector and Ajay to doubt, whether that Kamaar escaped, the door opened slightly……..

Ajay indicated Shyam to enter and also showed that "if he indicated any signs of their presence he would shoot him"…….

Shyam nodded, entered….. He was still standing at the entrance, when Ajay and the police officers pushed past him and entered the one hall…..

They were shocked, no one was around the room….. Immediately the Inspector ordered his men to search the other rooms, telling ne constable to take hold of Shyam….

Ajay too started to furtiously, search other rooms….. Just when he entered the bed room at the far end of the flat, he saw someone's hand disappearing.

Ajay:(running to the window…) Aee…

Ajay shot at random outside the window. He couldn't see anyone at it was dark…..

He immediately came out of the room…….

Ajay: (to the Inspector at the same time hurrying outside) Vo saala, bach gaya… Khidki se kood kar……

The Inspector followed him immediately…….

Ajay and the Inspector covered the stairs two at a tima, jumping down…….

He hurried immediately outside and went to the back of the quarters…..

All the way he was thinking that if only Boxer was here it would have been a added help.

He thought in frustration "Kahaan hain bhai aap………???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The area where the thug had jumped had no lights. And the rays of the sun were blotted out by heavy Gulmohur trees…. So the back of the flat was as dark as mid-night…..

He was just about to go to the back area, when he stopped short.... What he saw surprised him and he stood watching stunned……….
