Sudha Chandran plays 70-year-old Ammaji in Solhah Singarr. But that doesn't stop her from looking glamorous on screen. Perfectionist that she is, Sudha takes great care over her costume and make-up all the time

Sudha Chandran in Solhah Singarr

It seems Sudha Chandran doesn't want to grow out of her glamorous image in Kahiin Kissi Roz and K Street Pali Hill. At present Sudha is playing Rajeshwari Devi, a seventy-year-old widow in Solhah Singarr. But the actress insists that her glamour quotient in the show should be intact. Known to be a perfectionist, Sudha takes keen interest on her clothes in the show. Interestingly, the fabric (khadi silk) for her sari comes from Chennai, the spatik mala that she uses, has been ordered from the Himalayan region. The Benarasi and Kanjeevaram borders of her saris are ordered from all over India. Sudha makes sure that her chandan tika, brocade Jamawar shawls, long rudraksh mala (which almost touches her knees), three massive rings on her fingers, one of which is a cat's eye, are all in place at the time while shooting. And to top it all, the bronze make-up that she uses on her face for a tanned look, is done by her.

Says Sudha, "I have always sported an up-market, stylised look. In Solhah Singarr, Ammaji has to have a no make-up look, so I decided to have a bronzed look for my face."

Adds Sudha, "The channel of course wants me to play my age and character, which I think I have done well."

4 sure Ammaji is very stylish dont 4get 2 watch her old drama serial "HENNA" with so called Alak nandas husband has worked wid her in dis serial.....as his so called WICKED mother-in-law......and she is also gonna cum on Ary digital wid sum of us paki drama serial....cant tell da name @ da momment still they r workin' on it.....but sure u will know..

^^ she is in Gulnar Bano on ARY Digital. It is on air these days.

As for her character is Solhah Singaarr, i love her style! It suits her character perfectly.
