What is wrong with Meera?

Have u all ever though abt how Meera was before & how she is now? After marriage, her adamancy has not changed. But her self confidence has reduced. When a man insulted her mom, she slaped him infront of every one. But now though she is happy with her husband, it is afer so much beatings & insults. Y the hell has the character become so mean? They could instead show her as more intelligent & sharp...😕

in susral u have to act different than ur maayka...
if she behaved like she did in her maayka
she couldnt be able to win sumar and stuff...

this is to show that in our society, after marriage, a girl has to change herself in order to blend with her in-laws family...the meera of before was the wayward, bullheaded girl (albeit with good intentions at heart)...and the shagun after marriage is the tolerant, patient, dutiful wife and daughter-in-law. it is symbolic of the true society

Ya true. Meera needs to blend with her in laws. But she needs to show some intelligence too in the show. She is becoming dumber day by day

i think she'll come back later in the show in a very subtle way and sumer will help her but for now she needs to win sumer's love

I know from experience that you cannot be as you were before marriage especially when you are living with your inlaws. You have to pick your battles. I am sure that when the big battles come, Meera will take charge and show them all what she is made of!

I disagree with you. I was disappointed with the way Meera change. I agree in your sasural you do need to be patient, tolerant. But if your husband hits or beats you in anyway and wants to marry another -- you as a wife should not only not tolerate it but we as mothers should also teach our daughters not tolerate this behavior and teach our sons how to treat and respect women.
