Solhah Singaarr and Babul

What do you think for the people who have seen the film Babul???

I think its similar in a way, because they also show how unauspiscious it is for a widow to attend a wedding and also for the widdow to get re-married.

Rani Mukherjee being the widow finally got married even though society never accepted it, until the end of the story.

Somewhat similar...only the characters are different.. in Solhah Singaarr.. its the daughter trying to get her widowed mother married to the man she loved...while in Baabul the movie.. its hte father-in-law Amitabh trying to get his widowed Daughter-in-law who is now more a daughter to him...married to one of her friends from college or school who loved her alot but could never convey his feelings to her.. so the similarity is in the basic storyline..WIDOW REMARRIAGE.. and its a pretty touchy topic in the subcontinent.. but both the serial and movie are good
