@aditi Sony used to end shows for TRP. Also sometime back Sony didnt had any shows that were successful except Bade Ache Lagte and Maharana Pratap. So most shows they gave lifeline. Also allowed finite shows like Reporters to run the episodes

But since last 2 year Sony has some successful shows like Suryaputra Karn, Hanuman, Kuch Rang ke , beyhadh and PBR. PBR is moderately successful for the time slot it holds. So they call the shots in prime slots.
