Ram is crying in front of his ancestors idols. Lakshman consoles him and asks him to give him death sentence. Mahadev and Parvati see this. Parvati feels Ram's sorrow. Mahadev tells her that Ram's life is to show that humans can also follow their values even in dire situations. This is the last test for Ram and we have to see will Ram follow his dharm or brother.

The next scene, Ram speaks to his guru and other elders in the sabha and tells that he has always followed his best to adhere to raghukul rules but this time he is unable to follow it by ordering death sentence to his beloved brother. He asks their help. Guru Vashisht tells abandoning someone is also equal to their death and Ram could cut all ties with his brother. Ram asks Lakshman to forgive him as he wants to save his life and abandoning his beloved brother Lakshman forever.

Lakshman in his room is sad with Ram's decision. He decides to go to jungle as Ram has abandoned him, he did not want to be in palace. He changes his clothes to ordinary ones planning to go to jungle again. Urmila comes there and tells she will not allow him or else she will also go come with him. Lakshman tells he cannot take her with him. She questions him citing Sita's decision to go to jungle with Ram. Lakshman explains her Ram was just obeying his parents order and went to jungle but he is going to jungle as punishment. He has to serve his punishment himself and cannot share it with anyone, not even his wife. Urmila cries and then gets unconscious. Mandavi and Shurthakirti come there and attend to her. Lakshman wants to comfort her but decides to leave before Urmila gains conscious. Bharath and Shathrugan meet and cry. Lakshman sees Ram standing at a far distance. He goes to Ram and Ram turns the other side. Lakshman takes his blessings by bowing to the ground and leaves.

Hanuman is anxiously returning back sensing some danger in Ayodhya.

Lakshman is in jungle, having flashbacks of many things, Ram-Sita marriage, them going to jungle, their life in jungle, Sita scolding him for cutting Shurpanakha's nose, etc. He thinks he got punished for his doings. He tells to himself that he cannot live a second without his brother Ram and commits suicide.
