Today Ram told one of the principles I always highlight. War always happens between equals. If you are dealing with a person who has wealth and power, you need to acquire wealth and power to equal them.
While adharma has material wealth and power, what dharma has to strive is to create the wealth of relations and power of trust which can manifest into material wealth and power.

That is what we see in action today. Ravan fights on a chariot, Ram fights from ground. But then Lord Indra brings the chariot to Ram. Why because of the trust Lord Indra has in Ram's cause. In Ram's victory lies his victory also.

What people on the side of dharma needs to know is that simple principle of creating Purusharth or rather wealth and power, which many people ignore. Ram's life gives ample examples of creating the purusharth the right way. His love for his brothers, his loyalty towards his praja, his love for his wife, his alliance with Sugreeva and Vibhishan everything shows how by walking the path of dharma you can create Purusharth.
The Maryada Purushottam shows the maryada of everything. And today he also showed us the maryada of taking divine help. By understanding why the divine help is offered. No sudden high level favour has to be accepted. But if the right reason is given you have to be gracious enough to accept it also.

So once the message is clear. Learn to cultivate relations, learn to cultivate trust everything else will fall in place.

War at times is between equals but most times it begins from one side's entitlement attitude and the other's resistance to it. Ravan has been schooled to believe that all things exist for him. Ram on the other believes all things exist with him. Symbolically one uses things for ones own interest the other thinks it is sacrosanct to safeguard others. One battles driven by wrath the other is compelled at all other options are turned down.

yes Vidya. One is compelled after all options close down. That's what happens with Ram also. But it is like that for each one of us. Sometimes we are compelled to fight. We cannot create alliance at that point. The base has to be set in each and every action of ours so that when time comes we are in a good position to handle the situation

Well said Shruthi 😃👏👏
Wonderful point Shruthi...Ur post made me think so much...😃

The reason behind Indra giving Ram the chariot is also beautifully shown in the show.

It was not because he is Lord Vishnu's incarnation,

but because Ram was a follower of dharma and Indra wanted to return the favor done by Rama's father...King Dhasharath...

This also highlights the importance of helping others...

when u do good deeds...help others...it comes back to u in manifold ways...

Or we can also interpret it as

Rama never used shortcuts in spite of being an incarnation of god...he did everything by himself..

even in the show..he denies taking the bow offered by Lord Parashuram..

so, it may be best illustration of the saying

God helps the one who helps himself 😃

Beautiful post Shruthi di👏👏
Ravan once again used Adharma in the war, by attacking from height. Though he called it his "war strategy" but that itself had adharma associated. Whereas for Ram always dharma comes first.

Ravan said Ram doesn't have proper resources to fight against him. But that was the biggest wrong assumption. Ravan only thought about materialistic wealth and power.. whereas Ram thinks about the his power being in Sita and wealth being in Lakshman n Hanuman. Thus finally it's Ram who had dharma accompanied with Purusharth whereas Ravan standing all alone with is materialistic armor and Rath being destroyed...

Another thing I liked is, as u said, it was highlighted that Ram got the Rath from Indra not because he was Shri Hari Vishnu (as Ravan always kept on saying that Devta's plot against him etc etc..) but he got it due to his father's good Karma. Highlighting that Devine is devine due to his good Karma and devil is devil due to his wrong Karma. Thus it's in our hand to become like Devine or like devil..
That's the speciality of Ram avatar , leading by examples and paving a path for us, by himself walking on that path first..

@milaksh the beauty of SKR for me was the way they have showed Ram. Every action of his has maryada. Even the smallest action. There is self sacrifice, love and compassion for everyone and everything. You rightly said he has not done anything that is not achievable by a human
@aditi the path of Ram shows if you walk the right way the power to fight adharma will come to you at the right time. And yes we create our own hell and heaven.
