Hey guys, this is my first attempt at writing on SiRa. Do let me know how you feel about it😊

Staring at the moon every night was like a ritual for her husband. His love for the moon had left him with aptly being named Ramchandra affectionately. Since they'd gotten married, eventually she'd come to love this span of time that he'd just sit and stare at the moon. And the silence between them was never awkward. As they say, silence spoke louder than words here. It was a time where he'd forget all his worries, all the problems, all the stress, right at the moment where his lotus eyes settled on the moon.

Except today. It was just something about the way she could see that even though he looked calm, composed, and free of worries, it was just something minute in his body language that screamed tense at her. Over such a long time, she'd come to read her husband well enough to know that he was good at hiding things that bugged at him. But, as he often teased her, it was like she was a stress detector that could make out his minute worries the moment she'd see him. Today, she did have a clearer idea of what his worries could be.

Tiptoeing through the room, at mere centimeters away from him, she whispered, still afraid, that if she chose to be louder, she'd realise that it was all a dream, that she'd be back in Lanka, away from her family, away from her husband, away from her son, "Are you telling me all by yourself or do I have to badger you for it?"

Ram, startled by his wife's sudden entry, replied, "What are you talking about?"

Sita turned away from him and sat at the vanity in their room, and as she removed all her jewellery that adorned the now - queen of Ayodhya, said, "Whatever that is still bothering you. You think I don't see the thousand thoughts flanking your mind as you stare at the moon, when this is the only time when you're free of all thoughts?"

"How do you always manage to call me on my bluff, Sitae?" He said smiling, as he approached her and helped her out of the heavy ornaments that were gifted to her by his mothers and her parents as well, all on the occasion of his coronation, along with the tiara that was the royal heirloom. As much as she was happy with the riches and grandeur of Ayodhya, she was still a simplistic Mithila princess at heart, and she never slept as his mothers did, with all the jewellery and heavy clothes intact. This dichotomy that was his wife, never ceased to amaze him.

"Don't try to change the topic, Raghunandan. You know what I'm asking about."

Knowing it was a waste to deny anything in front of her now, he chose to stay silent and continued with his task of removing her bangles.

She stayed silent too, knowing that it wasn't him not telling her, it was just him taking his time to collect his thoughts.

"You know, today at court, everybody kept praising how I killed Ravana to rescue you, and how I established Dharma with every action of mine, but I don't see them acknowledging your contribution to that. I couldn't have done anything without you by my side. Those few months without you, I wasn't me Sitae. I don't ever want to be without you like this again, I could be the pillar for everyone, but without your love and support, your Ram would be so hollow from inside Sitae," He said as he felt a lump in his throat, the need to let go of the emotions he'd faced from losing her overpowering his usual stony demeanor.

Her eyes watered, seeing the struggle her husband was facing, he wasn't a good conveyor of his emotions, always used to being strong no matter what the situation would be, being the eldest son had did that to him.

Lifting his chin with the hand that was still placed in his, "I promise you, that I, with all the love and care you give me, will make sure that we are never ever separated again. You know, the only thing keeping me alive in Ashok Vatika were my happy memories that I had with you and our family. There were days when I couldn't bear the separation from you, days when I contemplated choosing to die, but my faith that you'd find me would always make me feel like an idiot for even doubting you. I always knew you'd come. And you did. And I promise you such desperate times won't come. I promise." she said as she buried her head in his chest and started crying softly for all the pain and anguish they'd felt those months, more for his pain than hers.

She felt him tightening his arms around her, and felt wetness on her shoulders, when she realized he was crying too, for finally they'd been reunited. Finally, there'd be no more responsibilities that would come in the way of their love and family.

They sat like that, for a long time, but for reunited lovers, it seemed like mere minutes, for time always passes by quickly when you're happy.

Then he remembered, that there was something still missing, "Sitae?"

"Hmm?"

"You need to leave me, I have something to show you."

"Just some more minutes," she said without moving from her position.

"Sitae..."

"Fine, fine. So, what do have to show me? Is it a gift?" she asked excitedly.

Ram just smiled at her, and got up to get one of the caskets, and gave it to her. "Open it," He coerced.

Opening it, she found a jewellery set, but the kind of jewellery she'd worn in Mithila, with its pretty stones and pearls, very unlike the gold and diamond type she'd wear in Ayodhya.

"They're so pretty," she exclaimed. "How did you manage to get these made!? It's impossible to find these stones anywhere near Ayodhya! How did you...?"

"That's something for me to know and you to wonder about," He smirked at her, "I know you can't wear these around the palace or court, as you're expected to wear the expensive ones, so this could be something that stays inside our room, only for me to see," He smiled softly.

"Only for you." She smiled back bringing their foreheads together.
