@Shruthi- I agree with every single thing you say. I thought the same. The CVs have highlighted Sita being Shri Rama's Shakti in all ways.
I would like to add a little something about the yuddh between Lakshman and the snake guy. Lakshman is an incarnation of the Snake Lord Himself. However, Lakshman punishes the snake ma, though they do belong in the same clan.. This shows that irrespective of who that person is to you, when they are doing Adharma, they should be punished.
Let me draw a parallel to the Kurukshetra war and the Gita. Shri Krishna tells Arjuna to get up and fight with the Kauravas for they are the side with Adharma. Irrespective of the fact that Bhishma Pitamah, Dronacharya and Kripacharya are there, their side is Adharma. The Lord through this indicates that even if the person is Dharma by nature, when they are on the side of Adharma, they must be punished.

@Shrutha you bought a nice point. See it shows dharma is above relation, between relation and dharma it is always dharma. Ramayana shows this is many aspects through Ram and Sita's life and Krishna teaches this in MB.

Adharmi also concerned with image. Right Di they can't do it directly. The greatest pain till death is the sin u do in secret and for that kunti suffers somehow this took me back to that.
Ram was practical. Student from my school emerged as 10th state toppers last year but it was not from the list of students who were expected it was the little extra done by the student in 15th rank in last 3 months before the exam that made the difference. While the class toppers in the confidence of doing well didn't do the little extra that mattered. Somehow seeing ram today took me back to this. Hope it's relevant

Smallest form of Dharma will protect you, as long as you are true to your cause. But then again, if you join the side of Adharma, even the Dharma that you have will be overridden by Adharma. So everyone has to take care that when you choose Dharma, you have to look at the highest Dharma, and where Truth lies. That Dharma is the greatest.

Dharma is very complicated, Sanju, and to an extent, circumstantial. It is not straightforward as we think it is.

I suppose that the primary thing is that one's intention should be good
How u achieve it - through Dharma only or with a tiny bit of adharma , that comes secondary , and its complicated choice

I feel that if one thinks that his target can be achieved by Dharma , he should stay with that path as long as he can till all correct options are not tried
