I read a part of this somewhere, and I interpreted it my way:
Shri Rama is the soul, while Sita is your heart; Ravana is the ego which separates the heart from the soul; Lakshmana is the conscience that keeps you in reality and assures you to take the next step forward, while Hanuman is the intuition, which along with the conscience makes it a goal to bring the heart and soul together, by helping the soul destroy ego. Perfect right? ❤️

Perfect, di! I have also read in some places some analogies related to the Ramayan, but this is way better! Where did you get this?

@Gauri- I got this from a discussion my family members were having. I extrapolated and expanded on the meaning.

Great, so do you want to have our own discussion? About Krishna and Ram. Because I have a question.

Why did Bhishma, Drona, and Karna have to be killed by cheating or Adharma? It doesn't make sense!

Krishna tells Shakuni- tit for tat. If you use trickery, they will use trickery. If you are devious, they will be devious with you. If you use Adharma, they will also use Adharma on you.
Karna did do Adharma in the Dyut Sabha by asking Dushassan to disrobe Draupadi. He was a fantastic person, no doubt, but even if he repented for his comment in the Sabha, he still chose personal Dharma over Universal Dharma, Krishna. So, he had to be shown that Krishna is the Eternal Dharma. Dharma is where you should be.

Bhishma and Drona, though people well versed, and followers of Dharma, stayed on the side of Adharma. One for his personal vow, like Karna. The other out of love for his son. Both of them should have supported Dharma, but they didn't. When Dharma supports Adharma, and lets Adharma happen, Adharma can be used on them.

If I say it in plain simple words , Its narayan Leela
All others are mere Puppets

Only Prabhu knows why , when , how and whose death will happen

You dont have to necessarily be an adharmi to get killed in the same fashion

Take the case of Abhimanyu , his was the most brutal murder , so many enmeies against one , his murder was done in the most adharmi and Barbaric Way , but was he an adharmi himself , No

Though there are many sources of reason, I am quoting one of them in short

It is said that the Moon only promised the lord that his son be away from him for 16 years only , as he could not handle any more separation from him , and abhimanyu ( Son of Moon ) , so was destined to be on earth for only 16 years , Only Krishna Knew this

Adding to this , Krishna Knew that something was needed to Turn Arjun into a raging inferno so as to win war for pandavas , and abhimanyu's death prooved to be that catalyst.

So yeah , just like there is a purpose when one takes live , there is a purpose too when one dies.

Regarding Bhishma and Drona , well as Srutha said , Bhsihma knew who were the right side , but to follow his vow of being always on Hastinapur's side , he stayed with kauravas , although reluctantly , he choose the wrong side

For Karna , he became an adharmi the day he stood alongside duryodhan and supported vastraharan of Draupadi.

The major reason for considering Drona as adharmi were many , but mainly it was the fact that it was under his leadership as Senapati that Abhimanyu's vadh took place in a barbaric way .
He not only supported that , but participated in it too

My favorite line- The silence of Adharma is the field on which Adharma grows. Thanks for the clarification, di!

And bhaiya, I didn't know about the Chandra story! Thank you, and yes Narayan does everything for a reason!

Ravan, before leaving for the battlefield, gives a speech to his army, like Ram had given before the start of the war. Both of them make a speech for the same reason, but they have different methods and effects. Ravan says that the reason for the war is to protect the Asur Kul's Sanskriti and values, while Ram says that the base of the war is the vanar sena. The base has to be the strongest part of the structure. But, Ravan's base- the Asur culture and values- is very weak. For the culture has not been upholded by Ravan, and he has not adhered to the values. That is why, the war is a definite lose for them. On the other hand, Ram says that the vanars, strong warriors with a strong will, are his base. That is why his base and the chances to win the war are very strong. Also, Ram penetrates into his army and looks at every solider in the eye, while Ravan talks in one place looking into space. With Ram's actions, Ram's words and feelings penetrate into the army's hearts, and instills a feeling of responsibility and loyalty. Ravan's actions feel like he is trying to penetrate through the sky, the emptiness in his life caused by his own karma. But, if he doesn't change and see people, how will this happen? Each leader's individual speech set a fire through the armies, one of emotions and the other of dissatisfaction.

As the armies enter the battlefield, they all chant praises of their Master. Ram's army chants "Jai Shri Ram!" and Ravan's army chants "Lankapati Ravan ki Jai!". The human nature is such that we always leave the best for last. Our favorite treat, we eat it last. The hardest challenge, we do it last. The armies said different things last- the vanars said Ram's name, while the asurs said Jai last. This means that for the vanars, Ram is the most important, while for the asurs a long life of glory. Are we any different from the asurs? We always run after a good life, with all the necessities provided. But, we forget, that when we only want the Lord, we get everything, for He is the whole universe. The asur sena was only fighting for glory, while the vanars were fighting for Ram. When we fight for words and actions instead of people, our task is like them, incomplete. Because, a person is needed for actions and words to be manifested.

The theme of this episode is refusal. Ravan refuses to accept Mandodari's aarti and sindoor, and goes without her wishes and he also refuses to back down from the war. Rama nd Ravan have taught me that refusal is always loud. The usually calm Ram gives a long speech on how Ravan isn't bad, just his deeds are. And Ravan, loud as ever, shouts at people around him, trying to hurt them. When we try to oppose the current, we will definitely drown. But, when we go with it, then it might just take us to our destination. That is self-surrender, always better than self-help.
