I loved the perception creation. Though I want to write about 4 nights that looked something, but changed into something the next morning, I will do that after how they take Sita's BP. Today I will talk about the night of deceptions. 12 years back a wife was told by her husband she was telling she need to visit the ashram of the rishis and get their blessings. Plan to leave that day itself. Happily the wife does all the planning. She even wears the dress the ashram vasis wears as she doesn't want to go there as a queen. She wants to be one among them and with great humility take their blessings. This happy wife is denied one last chance even to look at her husband's face. That is how Sita banishment happens. With a beautiful perception and breaks brutally for Sita.
Today Sita creates the perception, she tells she needs one night to say goodbye to Valmiki Ashram once and forever. She feeds her children. She feeds her husband. She tells children to listen to their father. She tells her husband the boys are still kids, he will have to to put effort in their growth. Children says you are also there. They will show her how good kids they are. Ram says together they will take care of the kids. Her husband moves closer to her. But she steps back. What I liked about Ram was that he respected that decision of Sita and stood at a distance she was comfortable with. Reason Sita didn't allow Ram to touch is not she is cold towards him, but because if she allows him to touch her, once she feels his love, she will not be able to go ahead with her decision. Ram gives her the wedding dress and asks her to wear it when she starts the journey from the ashram. She agrees.
Now what is the difference of Ram and Sita's perception. Sita couldn't see Ram one last time before she was banished. But in her case as a mother she feeds her kids and as a wife feeds her husband one last time. Why Ram didn't see her. If he sees her he will not be able to proceed with his decision. Once again beautiful contrast of Sanskriti and Prakriti. Sanskriti sight or vision matters, Prakriti it is the feel. Hence she didn't allow him to touch her one last time.
Now the wedding dress. That is the beauty. Why was Ram worried when he saw the dream. In the dream Sita was going in Bhoomi with the dress of a Sanyasini. In that dress she is the wife who is sacrificed. The woman who has no right on Ram the husband or Ram the king. Ram says he will give justice to Sita. Remember the scene where he gives back sand to Sita. Wedding dress symbolizes that. When Sita comes wearing the wedding dress and jewels she is no longer the woman sacrificied, she is the wife of Ram, Kulvadhu of Royal palace and Queen of Ayodhya. All her identities get established with just that dress and jewels. By taking the sindoor from her husband one last time she is going as Suhagan. When she calls Mother Earth, wife of Ram is in his heart, Kulvadhu of Royal Palace shines through her sons, but the Queen, Queen of Ayodhya brutally rejects the Ayodhyavasis and its culture. And Ram banished her at night stealthily, the way Sanskriti moves. Hit you from behind. But her rejection. She is going to do it in broad daylight. Prakriti doesn't hit you from behind. Why you don't see it coming is because you are not used to getting hit from front. That is not the game you play. But Prakriti does it from front, fair and square. From where Sanskriti will be unable to get up. Just liked they forced her to live a life of rejection, she also leaves them to live a life of rejection.
