Sita's chains

I have not caught SKR for some months now but I am so very glad that I got to watch last 2-3 episodes. Sita's arrival in Lanka, her defiance, the Lankan royal family's power equations. They have all been a treat to watch - good writing combined with equally good acting. The dialogues have been powerful, the symbolisms deep, but I was really moved in yesterday's episode to see Sita's reaction to chains. She is unbroken. She sees the chains defining everyone, but she considers herself unchained. And then she comes across Ashoka tree, which evokes the memory of her husband. I cannot begin to tell how poignant and magnificent the scene was etched on the TV Screen, the might and magnificence of Lanka was contrasted by the peace and tranquility surrounding the tree. It was alone and yet was thriving, the leaves green, the trunk unshakeable.

I loved that Sita remembered Ram and their happy times through the tree. Ram in Sanyasi clothes offering her companionship and nurture and not the prince, the warrior. I remember the earlier January episodes, where she had the anubhooti, the ehsaas, the devotion for Ram. I had thought that it would be her love and faith in him to carry on in Lanka. But today I realize that it is the other way round. In a way we identified Sita's chains too. Ram's love for her. Even when he had nothing, he managed to give Sita the world. And so she wears those chains around herself as an armour.

I am not sure if I have been able to accurately sum what I realized about love and relationship. I feel too moved right now.

Siya is very strong which we have seen. She is a pilar of strength

Coming to the last part, it was so so beautiful. Sita, the child of nature, the person who finds solace when she is near nature is so broken now that the sounds of the nature like that waterfall, those flowers moving in the water, have become unbearable for her to watch and hear. Those sounds appeared gloomy to her that she just put her hands on her ears and even thinks to move away from her very dear to heart surroundings i.e. the lap of nature, which is her own being. It shows how How we forget our own being, our own existence when our mind and heart is not with us, wen we are forced to separate from loved ones and have to live a life that is more or less lifeless.

P.S. Madirakshi was simply outstanding yesterday. Some scenes become really close to heart. I guess i have got my fav. scene related to her along-with other three including- Ram's one-teary eyed 'bs inti si baat', Urmila's decsn to support Laxman, and Laxman's convo with Sita jz before drawin Laxman Rekha.

and of course not to forget, outstanding execution of the scene and kudos to whoever came up with the idea of that last part in yesterday episode.

Felt exactly the same. That last part was simply superb.
