The episode was good. In the Mahabharat war Krishna had decided not to take up arms and the war was to be fought on a neutral ground. Here Ravan's ego and arrogance induces him to invite his destruction to his home. Ram himself would wage a war against Ravan and completely annihilate him. Vishnu indeed rises to answer the call of the times. But the basic premises for the war is the same, isn't it?An utter disregard for the path of righteous conduct more or less results in a rising disrespect towards women and ultimately leads to destruction of that society.
Today Ravan could have listened to his uncle's barely concealed warning about Ram, but his ego and arrogance leads him to ignore it and take the first gigantic step towards his destruction. What a mind set 'you injure my sister {whose despicable conduct is swept under your inflated sense of ego}and I will retaliate by kidnapping your wife...Sadly this attitude exists even in our modern society, doesn't it?The woman in a family are subjected to these kind of retaliations even now.The difference is that then We had Ram and Krishna to act as saviours but now women have to rely on the legal system which resembles a sieve in most cases and a non-existent acceptance and support of a apathic society where a victim is judged while the perpetrators walk away unrepentant and unblemished!
The Ram Sita conversation was both a contradiction and a delineation of the roles they had to play.Ram's first part, about the year being endowed with happiness and serenity represents a fervent hope{which they themselves know it to be an impossibility} and His statement that both of them would fulfill their duties with determination and steadfastness seemed to be more like confirmation of their mission.Today it seemed a husband took a step back to let the warrior in him come to the fore and a wife let go of her rights for the greater good.

The best episode of this week. The lyrics of the song and the way they described Shri Ram and his achievements was great. Akampana dialogues describing Ram was beautiful and Ravan's family expressions when ravan decides to kidnap Sita was worth the watch. esp Mandodari and meghnad.

I have no words for Akampana's dialogues. They gave me goosebumps. Amazingly written!!👏 Ravan ki Dasi.😆 Sita toh Ravan ko bhi hila ke rakh degi.😆 Today's episode in every sense was dedicated to Lord Ram. The song which was an expression of Bhakti, Akampana's words an expression of complete reverence and Ravan's hatred, again a form of Bhakti.⭐️

I felt meghnad did not like his fathers decision to kidnap Sita.

Hi Shirley di, I just was searching on the web about Siya ke Ram and found this forum. I am so lucky I did! 😃

I was busy again 😕, but her are my thoughts on today's episode... The theme of today's episode was submission.

First, in Panchavati, Ram is doing the sthapana of Mahadev and Akampana comes to spy on him. In this scene, there were two types of submission. Ram's submission to Lord Mahadev and the villager's submission to Ram. They both sank deep in the ocean of devotion (rhymed!), and it was clearly evident from their expression and songs.

Secondly, Akampana comes back to Lanka and tells Ravan about Ram, and praises him instead of saying his weaknesses. There is also two types of submission in this scene. First, Akampana's submission at Ram's lotus feet, and second, Ravan's submission to his ego. Ravn, so deep in his ego, could not bear to see Akampana's submission to Ram, and not him, so he bursts.

Finally, in Kishkind, there is also another two types of submission. First, Sugreev finally accepted his duties, but on the other hand, Bali succumbed to suspicion, and doubted his faithful, younger brother. So, in the next episode, Sugreev will be punished for no fault of his.

The lesson I learned from today's episode is that anything done in the flow of emotions and doubts is never good (taking the example of Ravan and Bali).

That's all!

Oh, and I have another story- this time on Sita Maa!

After receiving the news that Dasharatha was dead, Rama, along with his brothers and Sita, came to Gaya to perform the sacred rites for his father, . When the brothers were bathing in the river, Sita was sitting on the banks, playing with the sand. Suddenly, Dasaratha appeared out of the sand, and asked for the Pindam, a traditional offering to the dead, saying he was hungry. Sita asked him to wait till his sons returned, so that she could give him the Pindam made up of rice and til. He refused to wait, asking her to give him pindams made of the sand in her hand.

Having no other option, she gave him the Pindam he desired with five witnesses - the Akshaya Vatam, the Falguni River, a cow, a Tulsi plant and a Brahmin. Soon, Rama returned and started the customary rituals. In those days apparently, the ancestors would arrive in person to collect their share, and when Dasaratha did not appear, they wondered why. Sita then told them what had happened, but Rama could not believe that his father would accept pindams made of sand. Sita now mentioned her witnesses, and asked them to tell Rama the truth.

Among the five, only the Akshaya Vatam took her side and told the truth, while the others lied, trying to take Rama's side. In her anger, Sita cursed all of them thus: the Falguni river henceforth would have no water at Gaya; the Cow would no longer be worshipped from the front as all others are- only its backside would be worshipped; there would be no more Tulsi plants at Gaya and the Gaya Brahmins would never be satisfied, they would always be hungry and crave more and more. She then blessed the Akshaya Vatam saying that all who came to Gaya would perform the Pinda pradaanam at the Akshaya Vatam.

Aadhya, I saw that you had a question about why Vibhishan was so different from his other siblings, and Sruthi di answered it correctly, but there was also a curse that caused all of that to happen. So, here's the story!

Lord Vishnu had defeated Sumali in a war, and after that the demons were forced to flee to a place called Rasathala in the guise of sages. One day, the young Kaikesi saw Rishi Vishrava talking to his son, Kuber. She told this to her uncle. He then gave her hand to Rishi Vishrava, who accepted. After some time, Kaikesi asked her husband for a child, but at the time, there were some issues in Rishi Vishrava's ashram. So, for asking him at such a wrong time, Rishi Vishrava cursed her that all of her children would have demonic qualities. Kaikesi was shocked, and pleaded to her husband to forgive her. Seeing this, the rishi's heart melted and he blessed her that her last child would have saintly qualities, like the Pulatsya clan. So , this is why he is so different!

What a marvelous episode. What a screenplay. I would say when an enemy praises you, when an enemy respects you, it shows you have got something in you.

Akampana the spy sent by Ravan comes to Panchavati. I loved the dialogue he said. When my drishti is on you, your destruction has started. But how could he forget, the one on whom the drishti of Mahadev is there who is Lord of destruction, how can he be destroyed. And interestingly the 5 rounds came once again. Remember the 5 5 3 that came on Ravan's dice.

I had said that day if he is able to control his 5 senses twice he will win the 3 worlds. Today we see Ram and Sita taking the 5 rounds around Mahadev. It symbolically showed how both of them will keep their 5 senses in their control. It is the destruction of Moh in them to give way to the sublime Prem which over and above everything. It is to show after the initial grief, they will stand up, having faith in each other fighting everything that is thrown at them to destroy adharma

Now Akampana takes the story of Ram to Ravan. And tells it with lot of respect. In Ram he sees an individual worthy of respect. And what irks Ravan the most. That Ram has shown himself to better than Ravan. That he has taken the Shiv dhanush which Ravan couldn't touch, broke it and married Sita. We need to see this is his major psychology against Sita. The fact that someone is better than him. Someone did what he couldn't do. Someone took the trophy which he should have got actually. If Sita is an individual for Ram, she is a trophy for Ravan.

Akamapana tells Sita is Ram's weakness as well as power. And Ravan tells he will take away Sita so that Ram dies of grief. He tells another interesting point. The honor for a man is the woman of his house. If he take away the honor he wont live.

What he forgets is that, man will also fight to get his honor, he can go any extend to defend his honor. This aspect of humans Ravan is unable to understand and their stands his first mistake.

Now what is the second and the most grave mistake Ravan makes. Akampana tells Ravan Sita is his power. But what is Ram's wealth. Has anyone got any idea what is Ram's wealth. When knowledge has wealth, wealth can bring power. Dharma, arth, Kama, moksha. Wealth is the connecting link between Dharma and Kama. Lakshman is always between Ram and Sita and he will never allow anyone to come between them.

Surpi in her eagerness to get Ram, in her eagerness to see Ram suffering, in her eagerness to see Sita suffering forgot who was between her and Sita. Even Akamapana heard the story of Ram. Ram's wealth is hidden from the eyes of Lanka beautifully. Lakshman. No one talks about him. Surpi doesn't even think about him who actually cut her nose, against whom she should be taking her revenge. But alas she only wants to see Ram suffering, Sita suffering and enjoy her victory.

Remember the scene Sita giving shawl to Lakshman, Ram to Sita. I had said Prakriti is giving her protection to Lakshman and Ram will protect Sita from Sanskriti's assault. Though the meaning is same, today episode had made me elaborate it further.

Prakriti hides Ram's wealth from Asuras. And when she goes, he will have to be both wealth and power for Ram. He has to be Ram's power till power comes. And Sita she will survive in Lanka based on her faith in his love.

And yes Ram survives the grief. Lakshman makes him survive. He stands as the strength till the power Hanuman comes along with Sugreev. So when wealth is attacked in Lanka, power is there to bring wealth back.

Lack of knowledge of real wealth and real power is the bane of Lanka. A loving relation is the real wealth and samarpan with love in any relation is the real power. Nothing can beat the brotherhood of Lakshman and Seva Bhav of Hanuman.

And we see Ram-Sita observing the full moon once again telling they will have peaceful time and they will complete their duties. Exactly the full moon they saw before the coronation mess happened. They were thinking of a happy change, but the turmoil the change bought was huge. Same way change is going to knock at their door. This time in a more disruptive way.

Last but the least. Bali wakes up. Decides Sugreev has cheated him. Does he even know what exactly happened. How much time he was unconscious. Did he even think for a second why his loving brother closed the door of the cave. No. He just decided Sugreev is his enemy because he found the cave door closed and Sugreev was not there.

It is as foolish an assumption as that of Ravan. Because like Ravan he is also dealing with half knowledge.

So the foundation is laid for the destruction of Adharma, foundation for the real purpose of Ram's vanvass, foundation for the most interesting and happening part of Ramayana.
