don't u think if some actors can be compared others can be compared too

Or if it can't be compared, then nothing should be compared

Ok u find a list of actors best,while others might find some others good

That depends on individual

U can't say anyone which can be compared which can't be compared

Like u find Mohit Raina perfect Shiva

I find Ashish perfect Ram

And here no need to even bring another show or actors

as this was only comparison btw diff versions of Ramayan,

not all mytho shows

I myself prefer watching each show as it is

Without weighing it in measuring scale

Each show has it's plus and minus

Nothing is perfect

Even if 1986 Ramayan is telecasted

Current generation won't worship Arun Govil

As now many know diff btw reel and real

That was a different generation

Not only Arul Govil many who played Gods characters were worshiped then

I know one actor down south who was worshiped for playing Krishna

Any work can be compared unless it's just a healthy criticism

Some may like comparing,so may not

No one can decide it for others

^ dear..i didn't criticize any actor or actress in my post..kindly go through it..not a single criticism u wl find..😊 & also..i just cited the eg of mohit raina..i didn't compare dkdm or any other mytho show..so kindly agn go thru it..😊 i cn undrstnd u'r an skr fan..evn i am..bt i'm a neutral viewer..😊 so i praised bth the shows..but truth is truth dear..evn u wl agree,if u hv WATCHD the '86 classic..if u hvn't,then u might nt agree..whch is fine..Ramayan of 1986 ws & wl b THE BEST alwz..anyone wl agree..provided,they hv wtchd the series..😊 the level cannot b matchd..😊 that was a classic..i cn guarantee,evn after 20yrs frm nw,if smone is askd abt tv series of ramayan,the frst show to get clickd on mind wl b "ramayan(1986)"..😊 neithr skr nor the gurmeet-debina one nor the zeetv one..it's a fact..

nd dear..those tyms too people usd to knw tht they wr ARTISTS..still tht divinity usd to cm naturally..old people wrn't DUMB to nt undrstnd the dffrnce btwn real nd reel(as u'r saying tht only ths age knws the dffrnce)..had it been so,we wudn't hv bn present here...i rest my case here! 😆 jus kindly go thru my earlier post..I NEVER CRITICIZED ANYONE..😊

@paridhi perception varies and it is an article. I have watched 1986 version and the current one. Agree to you Ram-Siya of 1986 version were divine but the SKR one is more humane and the divinity is given through their actions.

And just like you who is a neutral viewer and a great mytho lover what I expect from both Ramayan and MB is that how we can have the learnings of those epics applied in this yuga. How can we understand the epics with respect to modern science which is so very much is there in them. Whether it is optics, newton's laws of motion, Theory of Relativity or the concept of energy , binary theory or E=MC2 everything is there in those 2 books.

1986 can be kept on a pedestal and worshipped no doubts about it. But SKR it brings the epic on the ground, to the realm of practicality, to the realm of karma, to the realm of logic and modern science. And that is the reason it is special for me. Because it helps me apply the learnings of the epic

See I didn't say u criticized, u have ur own choice ,I don't have a problem

U also need to go through my post properly😆😆

And as u know other actors are not allowed to be discussed in any forum

Specially when the post is not about that

U can praise 1986 as much as u want, that's ur preference

But saying that it can't or shouldn't be compared, that too only

for selective roles is what I disagreed😆😆

While that much of exposure wasn't available at that time

you're correct shruthi..that is exctly wat i said..1986 ramayana has created a level whch NO ONE can equate to..it wl for sure win,if comparison is brought..whereas skr is not the actual ramayan whch we learn or read..it is ramayan frm sita's perspective..so it is basically a diffrnt storytelling..

The article indeed was an interesting piece of work...😆

I enjoyed reading all the posts...😊

Now coming to which is the best or worst I would think there has been drastic changes in the way people think/react to shows n films now...

My grandpa's PA...(fond of watching movies and articulate and blessed with a wonderful memory...) told us how people reacted to the film Nagin when it was released...

I rolled on the floor when he shared that 2 of his uncles got high fever and didnt go to office for days after watching it...

Some viewers started hallucinating after watching the movie and screamed at the look of a black ribbon too😆😆

Women fainted in the hall...screaming and wailing..😆

When Santoshi Ma film was released women in their colony went barefoot to watch it...

They threw coins on the screen...many lit incense sticks and started singing arti 😆😆

But today even children guffaw at the sight of Nagins on Tv ...forget feeling scared...

Today the viewers are cynical as they have been exposed to a lot thanks to the technology...

I dare a film maker to make another film on Santoshi Ma😆😆

So to cut it short I would say that the impact of shows done earlier was so because of varied reasons...

Today's viewer has a different perception...awareness...outlook..

So we cant keep saying only the earlier shows were great with absolute certainty...

Maybe they were good in certain areas...they appealed to people is what can be said, of course...

There were hardly any shows...less choice..in fact almost no choice😆

Devdas was made and remade...Both were different...When times change the need to show age old stories from a different angle arises...there in lies the skills of the maker...

So I will say I have loved SKR and have enjoyed it immensely...I relate to the story ...to the actors...music...screenplay...special effects...My salute to the PH for daring to make it in today's age ..👏

@you you bought a nice example of Devdas. My mom had told me my grandmother fainted in the hall when Dev hits paro, my mother had cried bucket of tears. And I remember watching 2002 version of Devdas. Yes they were my friends with tissue papers but most of us were having headache. We were like " Arrey go and get a life". She went because of you, now atleast live your life and allow her to live. No problem can be solved drinking alcholhol. And my friend said " Pee peeke khud mar ghaya aur use bhi jeene nahi diya".😆😆😆

@youliveonlyonce perfect written...serials and movies are also a reflection of the time and era in which they are made. Most important thing is appeal. if audience connects to the show or movie, it becomes a hit. Comparison of two shows of two extremely different era is not a good idea because the perception, the thought process, and the situations change with time. Although one can definitely and always compare the actors on their acting skills coz after all they all are actors.

P.S. U selected very good examples. I have also heard people goin crazy about Jai Santoshi Maa😆 .
