No words.
That's why I love SKR so much, brilliant brilliant portrayal of Dashrath's passing...

The deer lying in Rams arms, his last encounter with Dashrath even if virtual...putting him to sleep.

imagined ,visualised and presented to perfection. 👏

On a serious note, death is the ultimate destiny of human life, in Rams words.
There are separations and pining that comes after,
Death is ultimate separation, yet isn't death an escape from the pining?
Death is the ultimate escape, you feel no more , you long no more, you exist no more...

Hope, can keep one alive, in Rams words,
But was there no hope left for Dashrath?
He could have hoped, pined, longed, and emerged on the other side of 14 years?
If he was guilt free maybe, if he had no regrets for his own actions maybe, if he could have been virtuous enough to save himself from this destiny,
He knew, he had accepted, death was the only way out...

This was the first and only time Dashrath accepted his fate, bowed to his destiny created by his own deeds, this was the phal he was preparing for himself, in his own words, by defying destiny, by being desperate for a son, by loving one more and neglecting others, by not keeping his word, word that he had given , again, in a moment of weakness, by hoping that the curse will not come true, a curse his deeds had invited...

All this time he spent trying to defy the outcome,
But outcome came, by his own doing...
And it was even more painful than he had ever imagined...

HE accepted death as the only way out...
Heartbreaking, yet beautiful...

Excellent write up{sorry don't know ur name}.So true. He could have survived the separation if he was not bogged down with his own guilt at his own deeds that {according to him}had wrought such devastation in their lives. As humans our capacity to face any challenge is unparalled...as long as we hold on to even a small bit of hope. Dashrath represents our sense of hopelessness and despair when we find ourselves responsible in some way of bringing the chaos in our lives. At the time of darkness our faith and hope are the only things that can see us through the end of the tunnel. Isn't it ironical that Dashrath in spite of being God's father could not find that faith to keep him alive.
