If he was not an emotional fool who loved his sister more than him, he would have kept them in separate cells in jail than allow them to enjoy the marital bliss. he thought let my sister enjoy the life as she is not a threat to my life but her 8th child and ended up leading a life full of fears and uncertainty.
I did not understand how Kaikeyi indirectly managed to convince Ram and Sita to remain celibate.
N Wasnt her wish for Ram's Vanvaas which is not necessarily the same as Sanyaas. There have been many Rishi Muni residing in forest who have families. Didn't the Brahmarishis Vashist and Vishwamitra have offspring?
Yes Geena, when a wicked person plans something, he will think he did a picture perfect plan and nothing can go wrong. Only did he know that his great plan itself will bounce back on him.Jaya beautiful post. Kaikeyi thought she outsmarted everyone. Whatever she demanded bit her back because she never once considered the anguish and pain of every one she thought of as obstacles and removed from her path to her goal.
yes, if she were not that perfectionist to try and stop Sita from the bliss of motherhood, may be she ahd a chance to have her own grand kids, who would have succeeded as Raghukul rulers.

The best laid plans usually do not work as planned. Kaikeyi thought she had all contingencies covered but failed to see that her plan had a major flaw... she was doing something for Bharath who would completely not want that anyway.

That is the essence here that Kaikeyi never really understood her son Bharat. All she wanted was her expectations and her dreams to be fulfilled. Had she understood Bharat and his love for Rama it would not have come to this.
Bharat comes to know about vanvaas but does he know exactly what Kaikeyi demanded (celibacy part)? Here it is his love for his brother that makes him keep Rama's slippers on the throne and live life like Rama is living in the forest.
