I usually make separate post only if I feel something special about the episode. Here I highlight the beauty of the episode leaving the kaala tikka (brother-sister prem apart).😉

I address my POV on the basis of SKR. I am not sure whether the same dialogues were used by Ram in treta yug as I was not there. 😊

Here we analyze the words of Ram

1. There is nothing bad for a son than not obeying the father's order.

A son who gives importance to his father's words than anything. Is it not the complete samarpan? Did Dhasarth really worth for it? Dhasarath had immense love for his son, but was he great to be given this much respect? Yes, otherwise why the Lord Vishnu chose him to be his father. Dhasarath had flaws but nothing was equal to his love and affection towards his sons. Lord Vishnu took the avatar of Ram to enjoy his father's love and so he chose the father to be Dhasarath, the ideal person.

2. Ram asks permission from Guru to get up from the place and he moved once the guru nods his head. Even in a hurry, he waited for a moment to hear the words of Manthara.

These are not his words but his actions which had more meanings. He didn't go immediately from the place to meet his father, even in that circumstances he gave the due respect to his guru. He showed his respect to the elderly person manthara by standing there for a moment and listening to her who doesn't worth a bit of his time.

3. Ram rushed to help Dhasarath seeing his state. His first query to kaikeyi "Why Dhasarath is in this state, any bad news about Bharath and Shatrughan"

He proved himself as a loving brother. He thought his father will be in such state only when something happens to his sons. As he and Laxman are fine here, something should have happened to either bharath or shatrughan. What a man of rational view!!!!!!!!!

4. To kaikeyi "Pride for a son to fulfill his father's vachan. Your son Ram swears to fulfill it"

Oh Ram you got trapped!!!! Don't you know that your father gives freebie of vachan to everyone!!!!!

This shows how much he trust his father.

I just borrow the words of Thiruvalluvar😉

70: To sire, what best requital can by grateful child be done?

To make men say, What merit gained the father such a son?'

People has to say "what penance the father has done to get him as his son"

5. Ram to Kaikeyi- bas itna

What an outstanding expression by the actor👏. Amazing. These two words summarized the Ayodhya kanda.

Though we know, Ram was the ever great son, I admire Dhasarth-Kaikeyi who brought the quality of Ram to the light. Yes, if Kaikeyi has not asked for these 2 boons and if Dhasarath has not followed the raghukul parampara, we wont be knowing Ram as the perfect definition of son.

So again I finish it with thirukural😉

67: Sire greatest boon on son confers, who makes him meet,

In councils of the wise to fill the highest seat.

The benefit which a father should confer on his son is to give him precedence in the assembly of the learned.

I think thiruvalluvar made these kurals based on Ramayan. Each kural seems to be related to Ramayan. I have to revisit them.

Note 1: My appreciation to the actors especially Ashish and the actress who played the role of Kaikeyi. Ashish was the show stealer of yesterday's episode.⭐️

Note 2: Warning 2 for CV's: Seriously 😡are you not interested in getting praised? Why the hell, you inserted the scenes of Ravan in unnecessary places. We can understand that due to 7 days airing the show, you have to show all the characters but can't be edited it properly. It could have been better if Ravan was shown after Ram-Kaikeyi scenes. We are just viewers, but hope you can make the show much better than what we expect.

@Ramya beautiful post covering the entire episode and actions of Ram. Leave out Kala tikka na. Spoiling the beauty of the post 😆😆😆.
For me " Bas itna" summarized everything. Made separate post on it. As I couldn't see or hear anything post that words. My eyes were clouded with tears and my thoughts numbed for moments. It was so so powerful that everything you learned so far on positive thinking fell flat. Because that scene was much beyond any book could explain. That scene was much beyond anything people can talk about love. Love in the most purest form I saw in Ram's eyes yesterday. He looked as if a simple wish is asked to him. You want power take it. You want me to go for vanvass. I am happy you choose me capable of delivering father's vachan and your wish.
Yes that was what I saw. A son proud that his parents has trusted him, trusted him to deliver on the promise. Let whatever be that promise.
Isnt that what we call God. The one who never let go of your hand, the one who never betrays your trust.

@Shruthi: True. Even an ordinary word can become extraordinary depending on the situation and the person who delivers it. A memorable episode if that Ravan part was edited properly😆

Son Ram became Lord Ram😊

I felt 8.30PM IST reached faster yesterday😉

Ramya you covered everything and summed it up neatly.
I was still teary eyed and then ravan pops up spoiling the flow of emotions.
Ashish was outstanding.
Dashrath and Kk both were equally superb
Her contempt anger came down even to her closed fist
Dashrath in his pain and unable to go beyond "Ram"
tha climax as Ram walks away was perfect.

@Jai: All the three played their part nicely. I even adore the way Sita tried to console Kaushalya. This Ravan better not to use words to destroy the emotional moment.

Usually in old movies, to dilute the seriousness in the crime story directors inserted some crappy dance with meaningless songs. I remembered only that while watching Ravan and his co.

@Ramya if this can ease your pain of seeing Ravan I will put it. I am not sure whether CVs are going to do it this way. But this is my guess.
Shurpanakha is going to feel her brother cheated her by killing her suhaag and this MU of hers, will come to fore when she will decide to use Sita to bring Ravan's downfall.
Because Shurpanakha knows what Ram and Lakhan is when she reaches Lanka as Ram has destroyed entire Khara and co army.
Kaikeyi in a way took down Dasrath, Shurpanakha will take down Ravan. Adharm se dharm ki stapna hogi.

I have been waiting for this scene ever since they gave promo about the vanvas and I could not believe they lived up to our expectations (CVs). they gave us the master piece in the form of Father & mother & Son. Though every one say, it was Ram who stole the show, I could not accept that as I found all the three equally fabulous. How can we ignore the helpless father who felt he is the reason for his beloved son's misfortune and collapsed and has no strength left in him even to say something else other than Ram. The actor was not acting but instead had become Dasharat in that scene. And Kaikeyi, she was unable to hide her love for her son and was so eager to face him, bless him and touch him to ensure he is alright yet, she steels herself to concentrate on the task ahead of her and without looking at him, she ensured that he promised her to follow her wishes or words or his father's word of honor. In that one moment we could see the strategy played by her, she was more like monarch than a emotional mother. she taught Ram a lesson that when you have to take a decision, never allow your emotions rule your decision. And what a son we could view in Ram, he was hurt that he lost his mother's trust which was utmost important for him in his life and that was one reason, he took pain to write to his this mother about his intentions to marry Sita and not to his biological mother Kausalya or his other mother Sumitra. The mere thought that his mother no longer trust him to obey her killed him from inside and he was shocked to here that she asked only for his brother's coronation and him to live outside Ayodhya for few years (just 14 years) and his mother didn't trust him to fulfill her these simple wishes. So the moment words are out from kaikeyi's mouth, he was eased and felt an unknown boulder which had landed on his chest has been moved away and with tears of happiness, he accepted her words and asked fro her permission to move ahead (towards forest). How could she forget that her this son was the only one who sought her permission during his marriage and none of the other three even thought that they should even inform their mothers about their marriage. The son who asked for her permission to marry Sita is now asking her permission to leave Sita back and move ahead fro his vanvas and how will she be able give him permission and bless him to be happy or fortunate when she herself has snatched away his fortune? I loved all the 3 equally and with these emotions, I could bear Ravan and his BIL ( why the hell that fellow just marched forward and got his head chopped off?
