Now the major question we need to ask is does one action creates only one reaction. If we keep finger in water do we see one ripple or many ripples. Can there be ripples which we cannot see. Can there be reactions we doesnt see in present because of our action.
Answer is yes. When we act, we only take into account things that are known to us, that is visible to us. To which our logic agrees. But the fact remains that our action creates reaction that we dont see and these reactions tumble the whole planning process.

That's why action in the direction set by God becomes important. That's why it becomes important to listen to our inner voice, when we make our choice matter. Because that inner voice is making you do actions in the direction that take care of reactions which you cannot see.

That's waht symbolizes Krishna-Arjuna. You are a tool in God's hand. But for God to create his mastercraft using you, you have to understand him. He needs you and you needs him.

Action without direction is aimless and direction without action is useless.
Arjun-Action, Krishna-direction.

Couldn't agree more about the ripple example. How many ripples are created ? Do we see all of them ?

I have a crazy theory about the inner voice thing, will share it sometime in some post.

If Yes then How?

I don't know about what role Niyati played in their final separation but read it somewhere that Vishnu was cursed that he will be separated by Laxami.

Agree, had it been so simple everybody would have solved the mystery of life.

About astrology I know what all one's natal chart can reveal if read properly. Most of the people seeks astrologers to know about future but Kundali can reveal as much about the future as each can reveal about past.
I have been surrounded by few astrologers and even I tried to study it at one point of time but left it within a very short span of time. The reason being the same that I mentioned in my post 'Bhavishya dekhne ka adhikaar kisi ko nahi hota'
The little I understood about it is that astrology needs dedication, meditation and intelligence too. Only very few poses the power to understand it. 😊

I have done a course in Astrology. Was taught in very logical, systematic manner. It was a hobby. Have used this knowledge in various charts too besides reading many books. It's quite interesting. Hence get tempted in answering questions regarding Astrology. 😆
If Astrology is taught & people learn it, they are bound to use their knowledge in seeing Bhavishya.
If honest, good people with positive attitude will try to read a chart, their prediction will have +ve trait.
It all depends on who is trying to read the chart.

In Astrology, some planets play an important role in linking people who are destined to be part of a major event. They all come together at the time of the main event happening or they play their part allowing others to reach the final stage.
Ravan had to be killed. The aim of Ram's avatar has to be fulfilled. Seperation between Ram & Sita too was destined due to curse of Tulsi to Vishnuji.
Manthra was just one of the part, who triggered the chain of events leading to Ram's vanvaas. She played her role well.

Bhagvad Geeta says, "The meaning of Karma is in intention. The intention behind the action is what matters. Those who are motivated only by the desire for the fruits of their labor, they are miserable. For they are constantly anxious about the results of what they do. You have the right to work, but never for the fruits of your work. Perform work without any attachment, alike in success and defeat"

In Mahabharat, Lord Krishna was on the side of Pandavas since Day 1. Then why did they have to suffer inordinate humiliations, hardships and misfortunes? It is because that is how it was meant to be. Life is full of challenges. The choices we make, along with the attitudes we adopt, largely defines our destiny. Pandavas had to suffer the consequences of their actions. But overall, had they picked greed, vice and deceit, they could never have obtained the Lord's support. In the end they overcame their odds honorably - by virtue of their own actions.

The above quote leads me to believe that although your destiny is predetermined, (It was predetermined that even a God avatar Ram had to suffer exile and Sita be abducted by a monster), it is the journey that counts. It is the choices you make, actions you take as an individual that defines the nature of your journey of life. In the end, although you may have a predetermined fate, at least you would have mental peace and satisfaction of having made the right choices. I believe, that your moral choices lead you a step closer to salvation, and eventually free your soul from the continuum of life and death.

Dont know if what I am going to write has already been posted(similar thoughts).

Destiny(niyati) and Free will(Purusha Prayatna) are two things that constantly intrigue people.

Lets set aside the case of Vasishta. He is a Rishi(seer).

There are 3 kinds of Karmas - Prarabdha, Sanchita and Aagami

All karmas give results. The timing varies. They say just like a calf finds its way to its mother among 1000s of cows, karma finds its way to catch the person(to give him the result).

Prarabdha-- is fructified karma. like a matured term deposit. Or a ripe fruit. It will fall off. That means it has already taken effect.

Sanchita -- this is past karmas which are accumulated but not fructified yet. Dasharatha killing Shravana is his sanchita which is going to affect him in future.

Aagami -- is what can result in future due to your present. This is very much in our hands.

Basically our present karmas become our Sanchita and Prarabdha for future. But present is also affected by past. Because to fulfill the results of past, we will act in a certain way. Buddhi Karmaanusaarinii -- Our buddhi acts in such a way as to fulfill past karmas. So there is a mixture of free will and past in our present.

Purusha Prayatna is very important andhere is where knowledge and guidance can play a big role. Great people have changed their destiny(avoided sanchita karma. prarabdha has already taken shape and cant be avoided by anyone).

Very thought provoking post..
we use words so liberally..
yeh karma bhumi hai.no one can live without doing karma..
karma and actions are same to me.
We think, decide and perform action..that makes an imprint within soul. Soul carries those imprints to next birth. Thats why it is said based on ur karmas ur next birth is decided.
Bhagya is fortune. purusarth se prarabh banti hai..bhagya bhi banta hai..
Niyati is drama ...prakriti ka vidhan..each soul plays his or her part in this drama..

I personally use drama/niyati ..to things that happened.
not for future ..
no one can predict ur future..nor one can know..
yes through my karma's i get that inner faith ..for better future

This is star plus ramayan...Manthra's issue is been exaggerated...
Guru vashisth likely said niyati as he knew dasarath had broken his promise..something will happen from kakeiyi side..Also soul like Ram cannot be bind to ayodhya only...
