Urmila was feeling pensive. After reaching Ayodhya Mandavi and Sruthakirti had left for Kekaya. Sita didi was immersed in so much responsibilities that they rarely got time to talk. She missed Mithila. She missed the fun times she had there. She missed fighting with Mandavi. She missed teasing Sita didi. Now forced to think of Raghukul Maryada even while standing or sitting Urmila felt trapped. She didn't even understand how Sita didi managed it. Tears started rolling from her eyes.
" Urmi" she heard the tender voice of her husband and hurriedly tried to wipe her tears. But Lakshman had seen them. He gently wiped her tears.
" Urmi what happened. Did someone speak harshly to you, did someone scold you. My dear what is that is troubling you" Lakshman looked eagerly at his sad wife.
Urmila was silent she didn't know what to say " Urmi when I fell in love with you in Mithila you were not like this, you were one fierce lady, now this sadness, this gloominess it doesn't suit you dear. Now what I can do to get you smile"
Urmila couldn't help smile at her concerned husband " Arya I miss Mithila, I miss Mandavi and Sruthakirti, and I miss teasing Sita didi. Infact I miss a lot"
" Oh so that means my presence in your life has not bought happiness for you" Lakshman said with mock sadness
" Arya I didn't mean.."
" Then even when I am there and you are sad, it only means that right, your sisters company is more important to you than mine "
Now Urmila felt bad. Why was she pensive. Her husband loved her. He adored her and was always doing everything in his power to keep her comfortable in her new home
She cupped his cheeks with her hands " Arya forgive me. I forgot I have got the most precious thing in my life when I got you as my husband. When you are there by my side why should I feel sad. Yes Ayodhya is different, but with you it is Ayodhya where I want to be "
Lakshman looked at his now smiling wife as he cupped her cheeks in return and their foreheads touched.
