I didnt watch ndtv ramayan ...Bt I knw her through a lot of telugu films .

Even raavan was a good man and decided to change behavior towards his cast and then due to his matermaternal grandfather he turned evil..don't know how much right or wrong..

Actually lord shiva grants him the wish
Raavan wants to marry Parvathi as she is the most beautiful in this world .
Then Narad n shiva trick Raavan saying the Parvathi is born on Earth as mandodhari.
Mandodhari loves raavana from the beginning .
He marries her thinking she is parvathi ...
After marriage , he teels his mother that he married Parvathi ..
His mother scolds him ...and fells at the feet of mandhodari ..
Mandodhari says ...that she is a devotee of Parvathi n not parvathi herself .
TO which Raavans get angry that shiva has broken his promise .

And a lot of stry which follows this ...
Raavan was an heroic character ...except that he kidnapped sita...
