She made Lakshman such a torn man who couldn't decide for himself! Either he had to be given a push or talked to sense...Lakshman is strong character at time stronger than Ram as well. He was made to look like a fool...no offence meant!


@violet though i would say the book was good but here as far as i read she was only taking care of her mother in laws n sisters n though she handled all the situations by herself at some points i found it a bit lame..meaning some places..

The book in totality wasn't bad because it dealt with all other characters as well, but it wasn't Urmila's story at all! It was either Kaushalya or Kaikeyi or Manthara or Mandavi being dealt in detail...Urmila was acting as a mediator...although at some points she really outshone the others. Like that outburst in Chitrakoot or her political decisions after Dashrath's death...but most the places were lame indeed!

@green mujhe kabhi kabhi lagta tha either she was waiting for him or sleeping😲😕if u had noticed kavita would have said"years passing by n her getting old"something like that i used to wonder what she actually is trying to convey😕

Urmila could have been I believe was involved actively in politics of Kosala! After all she is the smartest and most practical of all four sisters...even in the show! She could have taken up the responsibility and helped Bharat but no, either she sleeps or paints or moans over her husband's absence! She doesn't come across as strong as I would want her to be especially when in the book it is said that it was her choice to stay back even though she agreed grudgingly! Urmila was confused and she confused me more!

n overall when ppl said to read the book i thought the book would be only full of lakshmila but after i read it it was maybe a carbon copy with some deleted parts of the original story but in urmila's pov🥱🥱
