What is the time gap between the wedding and the preparations for Lord Ram's coronation and the subsequent turn of events leading to exile?
Just how long could the newly weds lead a what you could call a 'normal life ' ?

Can anyone please help?😳

Utkarsh Naithani had said on Twitter that Ram was 16 when he killed Taraka, around 23 when he married, and around 25 when he left for vanvas. He had also said that Sita had left for vanvas at the age of 18, and had stayed in Ayodhya for 2 years, so she was 16 at the time of marriage. So, Ram and Sita had stayed in Ayodhya for 2 years as newlyweds. But personally, I think it is 12 years!

Ram did not stay with Vishvamitra for that many years. He and Lakshman were with him for only a few months.

According to Valmiki Ramayana:

Ram was 15-16 at the time of Tataka vadh and marriage.

Then 12 years passed after marriage in Ayodhya, and he was 27-28 at the time of exile.

After 14 years of exile, he was 41-42 at the time of coronation.

Sita remained in Ayodhya for two years as queen before her exile, so Ram was 43-44 at the time of Luv Kush's birth.

Valmiki Ramayana has nothing about the couples not living together for 12 years after marriage. In Baal Kand, it simply says that after the four couples returned to Ayodhya, they completed all required rituals and lived in harmony for many years. After that Ayodhya Kand starts. It is in Sundar Kand that Sita reveals 12 years passed.
