Ram was very close to all his brothers especially to Laxman who spend 14yrs vanvaas with him w/o being bound to vachan. He left his wife and followed his brother in his tough journey. So Ram thought to erase the question mark on Laxman by allowing sita's second exile. Yes, if Ram has not allowed for Sita's banishment we the people will definitely raise the question by pointing fingers on Laxman asking "How he broke the promise to his wife and left her for 14yrs?"😉

Fine Ramya. Agree to you. I had also thought about it, but not to this extend.
