Hello everybody, this is my first post on IF. I have always been a silent reader on IF but really felt like making this post today.
I m watching this show n enjoying it so far. What's refreshing is the way the makers r showing d known events from a different perspective. And here r some of d things I have really liked so far.

Although people r praising Sri ram for Taraka vadh, Ahilya uddhar n now for stopping d jal pralai, it's Sita ji who has had an equally important role to play even though she hasn't been given due credit for it.

It was Sita who came to rishi Vishwamitra's ashram n pacified d villagers, made them happy n feel at peace. Can be summarised best in words of ram - 'Hum keval unke bahri shatru se lad sakte hain par kisi ne unhe unke aantarik Shatru se ladne mein sahaayta ki hai.' (We can fight with their outside enemy but it is the inside enemy that somebody has helped them fight)

It was Sita who suggested Rishi Vishwamitra to bring ram to Ahilya ashram for mata ahilya's uddhar. Can be summarised best in words of Vishwamitra - 'ram ki mahaanta mein tumhari Mahaanta bhi neehit hai Sita.'

Even today, it was Sita who said that this is not a natural event and something is not right which resulted in ram stopping d water storm n giving her d credit for it.

Basically, both Siya and ram together made these events possible even though siya's role was unknown to the world. I am happy to see that this show is not just about Sri ram's journey n accomplishments and Sita ji's role as a wife but it is also giving equal importance to Sita ji as daughter of Janak, incarnation of Lakshmi, praja's maithili and most important, as bhumija.

Hi Megha, welcome to the forum.
You summed it up really nicely. It's the same for me, I am watching this show because it's based more on Sita. Yes the story may or may not be accurate but I have always wanted to know more ant Sita and her journey.

I am able to see mithila , her equation with her father and sisters. Janak has been given a great role as well. We he never seen much of this side of the story. Focus was always given more to Ayodhya and their mahanta and rajjya.

Hope to see you more here.

Hey, I am glad we feel the same. It's just nice to see Sita's side of story. After all, she was also an incarnation of Lakshmi. And yes, the way they are showing about Janak and Mithila is commendable. His progressive thinking for that age and time is praiseworthy. Even if the story is not accurate, the show is at least giving an important message to the society at large today.
