The most-anticipated event in Ramayan " Sita's swayamvar "comes alive in all its grandeur in 'Siya Ke Ram' starting January 17 at 8 pm on Star Plus. This week will witness the much-awaited union of Shree Ram and Sita as well as mark the beginning of their poignant love story. The preparations for the grand swayamvar have been going on for the last two months. The magnificent sets, opulently dressed royals and the massive setup in Hyderabad's Ramoji Filmcity showcase the swayamvar saptah as a visual treat unlike anything seen on television before. The cast comprised around 200 - 250 actors to represent the royal families and kings who participated in the swayamvar. The actors shot for 20 hours a day to get this sequence right. The makers have left no stone unturned to recreate the magic of this critical turning point in the saga of Ramayan where Shree Ram becomes Siya Ke Ram. The costumes have been worked upon to create an iconic memorable look of Shree Ram with Sita which can be left behind for generations. Madirakshi, who plays Sita, said, "We all have been shooting this extremely important sequence for the last ten days. The writing team and research team have taken care of every nuance associated with the production, sets, costumes etc. Even for finalising Sita's look, there were over 20 look options evaluated before selecting one. The swayamvar is going to be a treat for every mythology fan.

So excited for the swamyavar... Can't wait.
