Yes. If u c Ramanand's Ramayan, it showed that Ravan was trying 2 forcefully drag away Sita 4m Ashok Vatika 2 his palace but he suddenly stopped cz of a reminder 4m d one who cursed him that he did rape many women. If he tries 2 do d same wid any woman henceforth, he'll blast smthng like that. This is d reason y he cudn't force himself upon Sita n blackmailed her instead 2 cm on her own 2 him.

The only good thing about Ravana was he was a beloved devotee of Lord Shiva! He had taken it for granted to commit any sin being the ruler of all three worlds.
As Sonu has rightly mentioned he was a trecherous man with lust and bad behaviour towards women.

Ramayan is NOT a story. It is an epic and for millions, it is an absolute truth.
It takes a lot of patience and sincerity to understand the divinity of Shri Ram. It also requires good teachers and those who can explain what you mention as 'divinity'.
The avatars of Shri Ram and Shri Krishna were in 2 different yugs and were there for 2 very different reasons. Shri Ram was God in complete human form without actually using any of his powers because he wanted to show mankind the Dharam way of life. He wanted the world to know that ' I am human' should not be an excuse for the mistakes we make.
Shri Krishna on the other hand knew and always did show that he was Narayan himself..

The purpose of their birth and the way they went about it were different but their main aim was to show mankind righteousness and Dharam.

You know what Amy... You have to read Ramayan before jumping to conclusions.. and by Ramayan I mean the actual version before trying to read the other interpretations. Interpretations tend to color the narrative from the author's PoV..
There are multiple explanations that have been given even in this forum to your question about Shri Ram.. the reasons for what he did and why he did what he did at that time. You can refer back to them. these discussions will sure happen again and hence you will get to know them again.
As for God being formless.. that is one school of thought. God's form is what we imagine it to be.. for some it is Shri Ram, for some it is Lord Shiva.. How can something so omnipresent, so divine, so perfect be defined or imagined? This is how... The first step is to give it a form and then realize God's divinity..
