why did ram abandon sita before agnipariksha??? i mean if ram rescued ahalya from the curse even when ahalya actually did which was considered to be a sin and changed the view of the society then why didnt he fight for his own wife?why did he punish his own wife for something she hasn't done...

Ram never punished Sita. In fact,In Ramayana Ram didn't order Sita to Leave. Sita wanted to visit Valmiki ashram. Same time Ram heard about street gossiping. So He told Lakshman to Leave Sita at near Valmiki ashram and told him to announce present situation and Ram's decision. Thus Sita got to know his decision. She told Lakshman that she would support her husband to do his responsibilities. She was hurt but never Angered on Ram.

as much i heard or told by my elders
when he heard that gossip he wanted to leave his position as king
bcz in that situation they are two different things being a king or as a husband
as a king it is his duty or responsibility to do as per the wishes of people and follow same rule for a king and commoner
so he wanted to sacrifice his power as a king and want to leave the kingdom but bcz of welfare of his kingdom and people he was forced to not to sacrifice his crown
so he followed his duty as a king
this is what something i heard of when i was a child

Well according to what I heard and what others are saying here ram listened street gossips of people and thus he take that step

Lakshan even try to put his decision back ..but he don't want that others say something to sita always ...

And for betterment of his kingdom he took that step

Ramayana is about sacrifice.. It is about raising up and doing what is right selflessly even when it hurts. Sri Ram did was NOT disown Mata Sita.
He always made it clear that he never distrusted her nor questioned her chastity. However, he was king and he had a duty towards his subjects. He was also selfless and he selflessly decided to take the blame on himself for sending her away rather than allow Sita to be dishonored by the very people she lived for and loved.
The sacrifice both Sri Rama and Mata Sita did is beyond comprehension. Both lived for each other but they sacrificed themselves for the others. That is why Ram is known as the Maryada Purushotham... and Sita is the first of all pancha kanyas..

Imo He acted in the best manner he could- protecting both his wife and the dignity of the throne he sat on...

some people in Ayodhya were gossiping about the purity of his wife's character... There was nothing he could do about it. ...He cannot shut people 's mouths. ...

He also knows that eventually Sita will also come to hear about the gossip and this was the kind of idle talk which will only increase with the passage of time... Would it do good for Sita, in her state of pregnancy to be listening to what each Tom, Dick and Harry had to say about her character...!!!! Actually ayodhya ppl don't deserve a queen like sita maa...!
And Rama was worried about his pregnant wife...What would unborn child condition in the womb be, if its mother was worried, dejected and upset?...

By sending Sita away... he ensured that she would at least not get to hear the latest on the gossip front. ...

He doesnt abandon her in the middle of no where. He specifically instructs Lakshmana to leave her near Valmiki's ashram, fairly certain that she would be given sanctuary there...
