Mytho Throwback - Radha playing Ahilya!

I haven't seen yesterday's episode yet, but thanks to the caps posted, I noticed that they brought in Shweta Rastogi - the teenage Radha from Ramanand Sagar's classic Shri Krishna many of us grew up with - to play Ahilya! Was excited to see a familiar face and I'm sure she played the character with great devotion and serenity based on her track record - just thought I'd share :)

OMG, I thought the Ahalya looked familiar, but wasn't able to place a name to her face. She is Shweta, but she looks so much older as Ahalya so I wasn't able to recognize her. It's great to see a classic mytho actress in another mytho role. Shweta was awesome as Radha, and she played Ahalya's role really well too.

I want to see Shweta in the show again. Might we convince the CVs to bring her back as Devi Anasuya, the wife of Rishi Atri? Anasuya is known for giving Sita divine clothes and jewelry which prove a lifesaver for her later on when she's abducted.

@janu - I was thinking of a different mytho throwback for anusuya - if this casting director is up for suggestions, 1986 Sita Deepika would make a perfect Anusuya and Madirakshi and her sharing a screen would be enough pretty to break the tv 😆
