Today I will dedicate my post to Siya Ram as I am not sure which of their message was more profound. Siya says to Satanand every problem has a solution that is the rule of the nature. And it is very true. Nature has its own way of creating solutions. Whenever we are faced with a problem we only have to understand the laws that govern the nature for finding the solution. Ram says nothing in Prakriti is cursed. Another beautiful message. Because Prakriti creates everything for a unique purpose. It as such doesn't create anything bad. But the Karma or actions that we do result in good and bad.

And certain actions are mistakes not intentional sins. Mistakes committed by illusions. When the visual power overcomes our other senses. If you look at any mistake and try to analyze it you will understand this basic reality. That it is the illusion that is making you commit the mistake. If we are aware of the surroundings, if we have awakened our sixth sense we will wait and analyze the situation before succumbing to the visual.

But it is very difficult. Because Maya binds you. And that's why Lord Krishna played with illusions.

Now coming to the main points. What is common reaction for both problem and curse. Fear. The fear of unknown makes us react to the situation than step back and analyze the situation. And this fear induced reactions doesn't help in solving the problem and it aggravates the problem. And curse it breeds superstitions.

If we see the line in any religious places to perform rituals mostly happens due to this fear factor. If we don't do this God will be angry. We will deprived of good house, wealth, health, spouse, kids etc etc.. Is it so. Can God the ever merciful be angry at you if you surrender your actions at his feet. If we have problems it is because of our own actions or the actions of our near and dear ones. God always wants to protect us. Direct us away from the wrong path if we are willing to listen to him.

So next time a problem comes or if you hear about curse don't react based on fear. Step back. Analyze. Question and you will get a rational solution on which you can act. A solution which will give you eternal peace of mind. But you will have to overcome fear.

Well said Shruthi, nothing in prakriti is cursed, but by our actions we make it so, and sometimes like Rishi Gautam when we are guided by our emotions or act in haste, we may make incorrect decisions, and then it may be a long long time before we can rectify our mistakes.

Most times decisions made in haste or anger etcc can never be rectified. You end up living the rest of your life in regret and guilt.
It would be best to Stop, Think and Decide. That few seconds of Pause helps calm us down and think and analyse. These are the lessons we need to learn from such stories and help ourselves.

Nice post shruthi.
Nothing is cursed in Prakriti, spoken by Sita as a child & now by Ram, who honours Prakriti. Curse is nothing but a reaction to an extreme condition, which can materialise due to the karma of the one who curses. His karma are so strong that his words materialises. Which is known as curse materialising. The Karma he has accumulated by doing years of penance gives him the power to create thing. Here out of his extreme anger he utters the words which he may repent later & out of compassion, gives a solution to end the so called cursed situation. The entire situation can be called a strong reaction to an already occured event.
Our Puranas are full of stories of curse & boon. A boon is again a very strong positive karma received due to good deed of the receiver.

Love your post as always shruti di... I feel love and fear are the two most strong emotions of human life... Everything we do is either because we love or we fear... We curse because we are afraid to lose or cannot accept what we lost... If we can control our mind everything is possible... I think as humans we don't have right to curse anyone as to curse someone we ourselves need to have very pure soul ourselves(as we only tell someone is bad when we compare them to ourselves) and I think most don't have that... So wanting bad for even our enemy is bad as if they are really wrong their karma will get back to them, we are no-one to punish...

@Shruthi: Once again beautiful insight of episode. I thought Ram's words of nothing is cursed in prakriti will be your topic but u nicely combined with that of his counterpart 👏.
Yes I agree, for many rituals fear is the basic cause, but what causes fear? Its our expectations which is the root of all emotions. We have a doubt whether our expectations will be met or not and it turns out to be our fear. Why Gautham rishi cursed his wife, its because of his higher expectations from his wife. He valued her more than anyone, when his expectations was tarnished he lost his cool. As long as we have expectations we will have fear associated with it. Its human nature. When we mould us to accept the failure, the fear will automatically gets reduced.
When a person thinks himself/herself as a brilliant one, he/she can't accept their failure which leads to committing suicide. So once we learn to accept our defeat we can move forward. This fundamental lesson should be taught by both parents and teachers. Ram and Sita understood it well because they had such wonderful parents and teachers.

Loved your post
Agree with you no place on this earth can be cursed and if there's a curse there is a counter to it..
Rishi Gautam's cursing Ahilya was a reaction of anger and rage, he repented later for cursing the one whose presence redefined his life...
Thus he gave a solution to it too...

I loved what u said about fear 👍🏼

I feel anger, fear and all other negative feelings are within us along with the positive feelings of love, happiness and contentment...
A right balance needs to be made between these feelings... As the balance gets disturbed and negativity surpasses positivity we say bitter words or Curse some one.. A curse more than being a punishment to the other is a reaction of our own inner weaknesses..

The other sages feared going near the ashram, their inner weakness surpassed everything else...
Ram and Sita didn't let their compassion being surpassed by their inner weakness and this made them seek a solution to the problem..

Beautiful thoughts, Shruti. 👏
Pritvi main kuchh bhi shraapit nahi hai. Loved how they connected Ram and Sita here. Wonderful way to show us how they are made for each other...It makes us feel the connect between man and nature. To me, Sita is prakriti, and the connect Ram feels towards her is the need to protect and nurture...what should essentially be our own relationship with Mother Nature. Simply amazing how this epic is being interpreted, simplifying such profound ideas.

Beautiful post, Shruti. I feel a boon and curse go hand in hand.Every action has an equal reaction. It's our own karma or deeds that make our life good or bad. Whatever happens in our life is because of our own karma. We are responsible for our actions and not God.
