@Ramya why do adharma happen or adharma succeeds. Because Dharma commits mistake. And unfortunately mistake also gets punished or it has to be punished. But the saving grace will be God will leave a ray of hope for dharma. Just like Krishna saving Abhimanyu's child in Uttara's womb. Adharma cannot succeed without dharma's mistake. It is said crime happens not because of 1% of criminals, but 99% of silence. And that silence you will have to pay. But if your other karma is good the impact will be reduced. God cannot take the action committed by you, he can only reduce the impact. That's why I say learn to use the direction given by God. We will commit less mistakes and he will be able to protect us better. We have to understand him. How will he set up our defense, if we don't follow his direction. We need to know he tries maximum to give us the defense, but with our own actions we blow that out.
Dasrath got shrap from Shravan Kumar's father. God didn't gave him sons but a daughter. His intention was to protect him from the curse and the pain associated with it. But Dasrath went and got sons. So obviously the curse took over. When God deny something to us, we don't realize he is protecting us. We go demand it from him, get it, then obvious whatever he was trying to protect us from ,we will have to bear the consequence.
Nature it is supreme. Understand it. You will be better off. And if you learn to use God's direction you will agree to what I said. Knowledge is supreme but only his direction can help us with the right usage of it to ensure it never bows in front of wealth and power.
And this Chitraganda story I am not sure of Ramya. Can you please tell.

U said it all well shruthi.
on a lighter note: @bold: No need to say it dear, chennaites now understand this very well.

Arjun married chitrangada, manipur princess during his exile period (when Yudhishthira ruled indraprastha). The king of manipur told that his daughter and their heir has to remain in the kingdom even after their marriage. It was their practice not to go out of their kingdom. Arjun agreed and married her. Chitrangada was a warrior princess who behaved as a man and she got the blessings from goddess to change as a women when she wishes. She went to thank the goddess after her marriage with arjun, which was misunderstood by arjun and he thought that she betrayed him. Arjun left her when she was pregnant.
She trained her son Babruvahana in a manner to take revenge for her. She told bahruvahana to take revenge of arjun then only she disclosure about his father's identity. So bahruvahana captured the horse during ashwametha yajna (after war) of pandavas. He killed arjun in the fight between them, but krishna gave life to arjun and reunited the family.

But I read somewhere else that it is uloopi the naga princess who saves him as after knowing the truth Babruvahana tries to commit suicide. She gives some magical gem. Wiki also talks the same
That's why I was confused a bit. So I will read about it more before I answer you.

But it was krishna who told that uloopi had the gem which gave back the life to arjun. When the gem was brought back from uloopi by babruvahana krishna only used in a way to safe the life of arjun. Moreover uloopi was also the reason for arjun misunderstanding chitrangada

U said right Shruthi... kaikeyi wants revange also whatever situation yes situation make her behave like this her ego bruised her self respect hurt by her husband whom she thought something n who turn something
u know I read some where ...if we want to get justice by taking revenge then it will give us no result n if also give us result along with bring storm but if the justice come naturally n with out thinking of revenge then it give us fruitful result...
its not that if someone do wrong then don't ask justice ask it but not revenge ...

and kaikeyi I don't know what to say till every where kaikeyi is only villain of the story but I think Dasarath has more negative flaws ...he hurt his wives he is direct indirect responsible for his daughter shanta's sacrifice ...he even indirect responsible for Sita's suffering...
even me also wonder how could Raam done with that to Sita...

Shruti, it was such an informative post, and I loved the discussions.
I still haven't seen last nights episode, being very caught up with guests at home and work!

But I will still want to share some thoughts.

A deep question that was raised here, when an Avtar comes to earth, to root out the evil, and give a message of righteousness and goodness, why do so many innocents also suffer?

Well, that indeed is a very profound and difficult question. I guess it is to pass on the message that whenever we take any action, or decision, its impact is always multidimensional and impacts not just those who are directly in the line of fire, but shards and splinters of it will also pierce everyone the circle around it, some to a large extent, and some to a smaller extent.

To stand by and allow wrong to happen is also a decision, and it will impact, us, and all our loved ones too.

Yes Arshics I will narrate a simple incident which I encountered just some months back. Since I have travelled a bit in this action-reaction direction to some extend I am able to connect the incidents in my life. Which action, resulted in which reaction type. So me, my husband and SILs family were planning to travel to Pune. Since train tickets were not available I booked flight tickets for all. But from the time flight tickets were booked some of my relatives started telling my FIL and MIL why we booked flight tickets without asking them, they would have got us train tickets. I know very well my spouse would never go to them. But my MIL always used to harp on this telling we spend a lot of money on flight. That was not needed.
So this constant harping left me quite uneasy. Felt like something might go wrong with the journey. Though I dint intend anything while booking the tickets that action did result in a negative energy and I knew if something didnt absorb that negative energy something will not go right with the flight. And I knew if something goes wrong these relatives will harp more. I just prayed to God that I had not intended anything bad for anyone. Let the journey be smooth. The uneasy feeling continued on the day of journey till the heel of my leg hit against the sharp edge of the door and bled. It was very painful. But that moment I sighed relief. Because I knew that pain took away the negative energy and our flight will be smooth. During the course of the travel my leg hit at the same place two more times. But with the pain I suffered the journey didnt get affected. yes god listened to my prayers. He took out the negative energy but he had to give me that pain.
So for protecting me out negative energy created by an unintended action God had to give me pain, so what about mistakes known and unknown better take the lesser pain. Because you cant go without pain

As Rama said in today's episode, I don't wish for an easy way, I wish for courage to face the difficult.
