There were so many things in today's epi which included how a king can drive change to making someone qualified to be a king. But today's post I will be dedicating to the lady I have very much admired in Ramayana. And today I admired her more. Sumitra the third wife of Dasrath from the kingdom of Kashi. A staunch devotee of Lord Mahadev. The problem solver. The gentle breeze. Always the giver. And today look at the way she handled things. She heard everything that happened between Dasrath and Kaikeyi. And her worry was not what will happen to them. Her worry was the issues between them will affect the children. She wanted the unity among brothers to weather the storm that was fast approaching. And look at what she did. Asked one of her children to accompany Bharath so that he doesn't feel alone. She didn't tell the real reason of her decision to anyone. She kept it to herself. She concentrated on the next generation. Because Dasrath and Kaikeyi she had no control over them. Kausalya she will unnecessarily feel sad if she hears about the vachan. But her children. Yes she had control over them. And she used that control in the most positive way. And I would say if Shanta with her vachan laid the foundation for brothers to be together, Sumitra just cemented that foundation with her action.

She kept a secret within her and used her power to bring in positivity to a situation that could have completely burned down if she had not send Shatrughna with Bharath.

Yudhajit and his father would have made Bharath a warrior and after some time alone away from his 3 brothers Bharath would have become one like them. Distant. It happens when you are in a certain environment for a long time. But presence of Shatrughna in that environment ensured Bharath is never cut off from Ayodhya. The love he shared with his brothers.

Today Sumitra stood as the embodiment of what Kashi stands for. A place where cultures meet. A place where every sin is forgiven. The tears that flowed from her eyes were like waters of Ganga that cleanse the sins of forefathers and save the present generation. She saved Raghuvansh from breaking by dedicating her sons towards service of their brothers.

Sometimes we will also be faced with tough situations. Situations which we can discuss, but if by keeping the situation a secret we can take positive step to minimize its impact we should do that. In every situation look for what is in our control. Take charge of that. Don't worry about what is not in our control. Because if we the control we have the right way whatever situation comes from things that are not in our control end result will be positive. That is the message Sumitra gives. She gives back what Kausalya and Kaikeyi gave her. In short she remembers the way she came and she doesn't want that unity to go at any cost.

Great take...as usual..Shruthi !
Today , a lovely episode...extremely emotional one.

There are many things I liked.

1. Sita - Maata Gargi's convo - How succinctly it brought forward the importance of girls to 'go out' and learn ! To be on same platform and on par with Boys...for in Gargi's words, for any 'learning' it does not matter , who is the " learner".

What a beautiful thought, put across ⭐️

2. Kaikeyi's insecurities wrt her son Bharath, particularly when she compares him with Ram., her sudden want for keeping him 'away' from Ram...for she feels, he can never be at par with Ram !

Here I would like to ponder over a point.

I have never understood Kaikeyi's condition of sending Rama on exile. Her asking for Rajya for Bharath is completely understandable. But why should she ask for such a cruel banishment for Ram...one whom she loved so much till a little earlier...

Now I feel, I could understand this condition of hers, the motive behind it...She did not want even a shadow of Ram to be on Bharath...it will give a chance for her to compare., for ppl to compare., for in her mind she knew, none can beat the aura Ram has !

If, this my understanding is right, am' glad, this show has already provided me with an answer 😃

3. The bond between brothers was so touchingly portrayed. Between Rama - Bharath, between Lakshman, Bharath and Shatrugn...

My heart just went out for Bharath. They have brought out the emotional and softer side of Bharath, so very well..

This is just a precap. Imagine the scene, when it comes to the 'real' long separation., how emotional it could turn out...

4. Sumitra - No words enough to describe her...

Shruthi, still., you have said it all. I cannot add any more.

5. The contemplative look on Ram's face, when Bharath is leaving...his sight falling on Dasharath, Kaikeyi, her brother, trying to comprehend the reason for the sudden development ⭐️

@Shruthi: Good character pick for the day discussion. Sumitra was a women with long vision. From the day one of her intro, CVs layer by layer sketched the character. The one who binds the relations is equally important as the one who takes care of all. We had wonderful join families because of these attitude of women which we lack right now.
Her move of sending one of her sons with bharath was just an eg before Ram exile. Lakshman was lucky to have sumitra as mother and urmila as wife.
Though I liked the whole episode, my favourite parts of the day are
1. kaikeyi saying to her brother Ram is also my son.
2. Sita Gargi entire convo.
So sita is going to Yajnavalkya ashram to learn. Is it not she learns in palace itself?

Beautiful post dear..
After watching today's episode I adore sumitra more and like her among three...
She is pillar who understands everyone care respect others and does what is necessary.
She wants unity among brothers. This also represents why laksham was with ram during exile...Lovely message...
Kaikey saying ram is also his son to her brother is also interesting point as how she Wil turn against him after caring so much for him...

It was a touching episode today..
You rightly said about Sumitra, she showed the sensibility as how in difficult time
to handle the situation or atleast do something which don't make the situation worse
in future. I also loved Lakshman and Shatrughan today.. how they obey their mother and
understand her and the understanding of brothers when shatrughan said I will go and gave
such a innocent reason like Lakshman will fight and irritate Bharat so I will go ,😊 He
knows how close Lakshman is to Ram although all 4 brothers share strong bond. It was
hard to see them getting separated.
Today I liked acting of all the Characters they were expressing their emotions through their eyes ⭐️

@adi that is why I said epi had so many messages. And one thing you have to notice. Kaikeyi is not demanding kingdom for Bharath just like that. She knows Ram is an able administrator, and if her son has to rule he should possess the qualities of Ram. And she wanted to make him one.
So even while wanting power for her son, she is not willing to compromise on the quality of rule Ayodhya gets. And today when demanding rights, how many think are they eligible for that right. And when right is denied how many look at are we denying the right because some flimisical reason. Just like Karna of Mahabharath. What happened to Karna was the denial of rights to a talented person based on caste.
@Ramya yes you said it right. Today the major problem families face is that they don't have a glue like Sumitra who knows how to manage relations. The importance of people who have that skill is never known easily because they mostly stay in the background. But their lack will be obvious when things break down.
