Definitely, it isn't about Gold jewels. it's all about Royal look.in Ramayana, at exile, when Hanuman witnessed two brothers first time, he described them as sages who having Royal look. that basic sense also eliminated here. I know CVS intention was what Justlikethat told. but they're stayed in Treat Yuga. in very beginning of SKR, They showed King Janak farming. So why should one get surprise if prince do farming. it's a cliche. but as a viewer my opinion is ,As Janaki Akka said before CVS are keen to show Janakas are always perfect but projecting RAM as exceptional from Raghu Vansh. very wrong interpretation of Ramayana

Right Janaki Akka.There were scenes in which it was depicted that Dashrath does not care for the common subjects of the kingdom which is untrue since I have read that he used to roam in the streets of Ayodhya dressed as a civilian to enquire about the welfare of his subjects.

Enjoying reading all the posts...I was actually liking the simplicity of the show n it's closeness to reality when all of a sudden Ravan landed in Mithila with a giant golden spaceship...or wait should I call it aircraft...😆

Was it really like that in the epic?😆

And Mithila seems to be somewat simpler compared to other kingdoms...

The minister of Ravan seems to wear more gold than the King n Queen n even princesses of Mithila...😆

i don't know about the epic, but in other televised version pushpaka looked like a winged horseless charriot.
