I was just going through some info on the 4 brothers And came across this interesting piece of tales.

Fact 1 :

It is said that Meghnath not only defeated Indra , thereby earning him the Title of Indrajit , he also travelled to each and every corner of the world to ascertain his supremacy.

And one place where he went was Naaglok . There he challenged the King of sepents for a Duel - Vasuki

Vasuki , was in fact the de-facto king , as the real king - Shesha , was too busy handling the load of the earth on his hood.

Vasuki was no match for Indrajit , and in order to save Naaglok , he made a treaty with Indrajit that he would marry of his daughter Sulochana to him if his empire was spared.

Indrajit agreed , accepted sulochana his wife , and spared Naaglok.

But inside of him , Vasuki was embarrassed , and cursed him that one day he would face death at the hands of one of his kind - a snake. And that death ultmately came from none other than emperor of Snakes - Sheshnaag , or we call it - our hot Tempered Lakshmana.
