Akshay vs Raunak

Is Raunak honestly supposed to be the hero? Because I don't really like his character (or the actor for that matter). He has no qualities like a protagonist at all! He's super attached to his mom'a pallu, requires his best friend's support in everything, and he doesn't even fight for his love.
In contrast, Kajal is strong-willed, lively and seemingly intelligent... How on earth do they work as a pair?
Personally, I prefer Akshay's happy, supportive nature and his willingness to do anything for his family. He's the one with the strength of will to eventually challenge Janki's ridiculous autocracy. With Kajal by his side, he could build a great life for their families, whereas Raunak would never be able to escape his mom's control.
So I prefer Akshay-Kajal... What do you guys think?

I somehow feel akshay kajal has story. Coz if raunak kajal happens there wont be any role of akshay

May be Raunak will emerge stronger after the marriage drama... hoping for the best.

I agree will you that so far Raunak has been totally lackluster and wooden. Not sure if it is the actor or the character. The characterization is not that of a lead but it is a believable for person totally controlled by his mother. In fact, even Akshay is not a "real friend". He and Akshay are very close but in truth Akshay has been planted in his life by his mother to keep a check on him.

why do i get a feeling that raunak will turn negative when he thinks akshay cheated him.

What we think..its not important..Raunak is the main lead..may be his character develop later in the show

Even I prefer Akshay and Kajal's pairing
