S1 is a different story, in the first episode of S2, Mauli had said and Mishti / Pari were witness to this that she didn't know true love before Ishaan so whatever she had for Kunal wasn't love, she did not know love, similarly Kunal didn't know love before Nandini and Mishti didn't know love before Ruhaan

But where is she wrong? There was no love between Kunal and Moulii. Mouli loved Kunal. He never loved her. He said that many times. I don’t get it why you are saying he loved her when he didn’t and it was mentioned by him many times too. And where and when did he fall in love with her again?

Unlike us, who can readily rewatch the scenes on Voot to refresh our memory 😆, Pari and Mishti dont really know EXACTLY what transpired between their parents. They are forming their perception bcoz of the bits n pieces they remember from their childhood...n what they heard from others. Remember, they were not even born when all this fiasco was taking place.

In other words, we as viewers are watching everything from a 3rd person's perspective n know what exactly went wrong. But Mishti n Pari don't have insight into the intricate details of MauNal life before Nandini entered.

As a result, Pari has a simplistic perception to the whole mess. Kunal left his wife for another woman, aka, there was no true with his wife. It is natural for her to think this way.

Also regarding MauNal love, I have mixed feelings. True they appeared to be heavenly before Nandini arrived. But then again, as Sabhayata pointed out, if indeed there was true love, could Kunal have done something so nasty to her?

Mauli's love for Kunal was true n pure...but Kunal's love for Mauli? I doubt.

As regards to Kunal's feelings and character, makers made him very confused. But he did love her when he was with her - he said so when drunk mauli asked him if he never loved her on their dinner. I agree coz I also feel if love is true u won't behave like kunal did but in this show he has always been butchered. Also if nandini was his true love he wouldn't love Mauli again - he was ready to get back together with her and Mehek also said he had feelings for mauli. So kunal ka case is damadol 😂

My 2 cents. I think Kunal wanted to be back with Mauli, bcoz now:

1.) He was alone with a daughter.

2.) His other daughter was with Mauli.

3.) He knew Mauli was a great woman, and was certainly a better n more mature option for him than any other woman. Plus, he did have some feelings for her before (if not true love), n that helped.

In a nutshell, uniting with Mauli was the most convenient option for him, both emotionally as well as family-wise. That way:

1.) Pari will get a mom.

2.) He will get to be Mishti's dad.

3.) He will reconcile with his mom n dida, and somewhere makeup for his past mistakes with Mauli.

Maybe these are the practical reasons. But he also felt for her, that is why Mauli and Ishaan 's engagement pics bothered him. And that's why he stopped dida from pressuring Mauli. That's just my pov tho.
