its not abt bad or good, my post was to show a contrast between Veer & Mishti, not to show veer in bad light.

In his defense of course he would want to pamper her. Take her out, shower her with gifts, buy her nice expensive things.
For example, I dont think if my fiancee were to ever do any of these things for me, I would think of him as being Materialistic.

I would be suprised and maybe not accept such gifts as expensive car or whatever. But i would never call my fiancee Materialistic. It just does not make sense . Especially if Veer is only doing it on her birthday. It is normal if they have that class and status to buy a car for BDAYS.

And you knew he was doing it extra because they had to do preparations at home for Birthday. So no, i dont think this makes Veer a Materialistic person.

considering it's Mishti's birthday his actions do have justification & I even mentioned them. Bt I found those as a new shade of veer coming out gradually. Let's see if he does similar things on other days other than her birthday/ special days. If not I will change my opinion otherwise will stick to it.

But Mishti as you say ,she is finding happiness in gestures .. Her family's wish in the morning , the efforts they had put for her party and finally that one whit rose ..

The extravagant shopping or a new mobile will definitely not make her happy .

yes she finds happiness in small small things & gestures other than expensive gifts 😊

Exactly, its not about how good and caring he is as a person, but its about how compatible they are as a couple.
Some like materialistic things and some doesn't appreciate them. Mishti seems to belong to second category.
Veer may think materialistic things may make Mishti happy like any other normal person does but he is clearly ignoring the fact that she doesn't like such things or stuff.

its not about good or bad.its about compatibility

Also today
1. Veer tells him that if someone needs to call then they can call him still Mishti wanted the phone, then he said he will get it for her or better buy one for her...It was not because he's materialsitic but simply was stopping her from going upstairs as he knew the preparation of her party must have begun

2. He made her do extra shopping coz he wanted to give them time to prepare well for the party

These two instances didn't show that he is materialstic but only showed how he was stopping her from reaching before time, he wanted to keep the surprise intact

He didn't flaunt his wealth, or nothing was shown to convey that he cares about materialistic things over Mishti..I think people again are reading too much into trivial things

Materialistic!

From last two days I am finding Veer quite a materialistic person & am not saying if it's good thing or bad. First he got a luxury car for Mishti as her birthday gift then today he wanted to offer her new Mobile phone (ok taking it as a excuse to stop Mishti From going to home & see preparation still it was quite much to offer for such a reason) which Mishti strictly opposed as her latest phone is 1 month old only. Then he also made Mishti do extra shopping which she was not much fond of (also taking it as he wanted to keep her away from d birthday preps) & he said Girls love shopping or something!! He appears to be a materialistic person to me which Mishti seems certainly not as of now. Not every girl find happiness in luxurious life, gifts, extra shopping bags but in simple inexpensive things as well & Mishti can be one of them. 😳

I don't find him as materialistic person at all. He gave expensive car because his fiance car in still garage & she facing problem to travelling without car so he gifting car to her because she needed. about today's mobile discussion you know his main reason & also booking hotel for family also false for surprise birthday party arrange for her at home.

I m very disappointment from maker's now they yet fail to show mishveer lack something in fact they showing Mishti is unfit for Veer, She is lacking here not veer. Veer is totally in to Mishti, so he doing everything to make happy to mishti best of best of his capacity & thinking that way also convey to mishti too very well manner. But Mishti is here not strong to servile for mishveer. She is look so weak to fight back against attraction towards Ruhaan. In fact she is getting uncomfortable with Veer & his touch & gesture all of sudden out of blue night 😆

so someone is lacking right in their relation. Doesn't it show they are not compatible with each other.
u say mishti is unfit for Veer. So, y should MishVeer happen in the first place. Doesn't veer deserve a girl who loves him truely.

If he was only materialistic, he wldnt have gone to extreme lengths to wish Mishti and apply colors on her in holi.
He is trying his best to make her happy.
And anyways even if he is materialistic that's OK. It's defo better than being a cheater
