Good morning, Naturegirl !
I am sorry to barge in like this on your post. I accidentally stumbled on this post. I understand you said this is fiction in a fiction, if you are talking about some other Mauli, Ishaan, Mishti and Kunal that I have no idea about, please ignore my rambling. But, if it is about the same people that all of us know about, please hear out another perspective.

Let us just say, I am a third person who stumbled upon this never posted letter in a bottle, as I am walking on the beach, I would think that this Mauli person has taken her husband on a very cruel ride😡. According to this letter, Mauli didn't just choose commitment, she also chose betrayal and emotional cheating of her husband, Ishaan. She exploited Ishaan's trust, belief and love for her. When she married Ishaan, she promised him her everything, not just her body and mind but her soul as well. Why would Ishaan want anything less than that? If he only wanted her as a committed friend or a companion, he already had her in that role. We all know for a fact that Ishaan never wanted her as a warm body alone ( that is somebody else's dept ). Usko toh Mauli entirely chaahiye thi, body, mind, heart and soul along with his beautiful daughter. I don't think Ishaan ever desired for crumbs thrown at him by Mauli😭. He didn't want ehsaan from Mauli. Ishaan took himself out of the equation, Mauli didn't have to worry about herself breaking any promises. Why would Mauli be so cruel to drag him back and insult him by giving him a menial position in her life, a burden she cannot cast away? Lastly, is Mauli a coward, never to post this letter or to tell Ishaan exactly how she felt, Ishaan being a commitment, a promise, a burden she cannot let go of and the cheater Kunal her true love?😭

The Mauli I know, is not a coward, not emotionally weak, not cruel, not a miser, not a fickle person, not a two timer who would use the services of a loving husband, as Mishti's father but her own end and means are different, Kunal. The Mauli I know is somebody who lived freely, independently and when she loved and is committed to somebody, she did that with her whole being. The Ishaan I know is not stupid to accept anything that is thrown at him, not to understand if his wife is in the marriage for the right reasons or not and is not so weak in his mind and heart that he is satisfied with the alms thrown at him. Mauli and Ishaan are people with robust character and integrity and a strong sense of right and wrong.

I am sorry, Naturegirl, I became a little emotional. I hope no woman or man intentionally chooses a life that Mauli in this letter chose for herself and a selfless, loving Ishaan😭.

Woah.. This comment is almost as long as the letter 😆 Thanks for taking the time to write all this.. U write beautifully.
I will tell u. My version of Mauli is not weak. No. She is the strongest woman. She chose Ishan because not choosing him wud be injustice. She is not Kunal. She will nibhao her relationship with all she has.
But, her heart has only ever loved kunal. The show I saw showed that to me - the only thing constant in the show but for meagre 10 mins showed in S2 was Mauli's love for Kunal. She loved him with him and without him. She loved him when she was celebrating Ishan's birthday, sleeping on his shoulder with a smile on her face dreaming of Kunal. The makers showed me 48 hrs after that that Mauli loves Ishan. For me it was cognitive dissonance, because the Mauli I knew wouldn't do this. She wud dream only of her true love. Hence this letter 😊

Thanks for the compliment, Naturegirl😃 Means a lot !

The letter seems to indicate that Mauli, while living the life of a beloved wife of Ishaan, bearing his babies, has eyes and heart that pines for another diddly doo😲 That makes her another Kunal in EMA, in fact a prolonged EMA sans physical relationship. That seems very cringeworthy to me. Sorry to say, but no more intrusions from my side😊

As per this letter, Mauli chose to make love to Ishaan, give birth to his son, their Ansh, all the while dreaming about KUNAL? I'm sorry but Mauli doesn't come across as a person who would marry someone, and give her body to that man, when she's actually in love with someone else.
Fan fictions are all okay. They are a figment of imagination after all. We all know the canon is MauHaan. Their son Ansh is the living, breathing proof of it. However, this posts seems to suggest something that was never shown in the show. 😕

My part was to write the letter. I can only explain what I wrote, not what u interpret and that I already did in my previous reply to u. Take care 😊

It's not shown in the show.. it's FF kind of write-up by TM. Something she wished or wanted.
Different ppl different interpretations of the letter. So chill...

Really? Where is it written that she is making love with Ishan but dreaming of Kunal? It's ur inference and u can have those. My letter doesn't have Ansh. It has only kunal Ishan Mauli and mishti pari. As for Mauli dreaming of kunal while with Ishan, u r right she never did that in the show 😊It's an AU of the show if that satisfies u. Whatever it suggests to u is none of my concern 😊 I have already written it's fictional and if u dont like maunal u shudnt have read it 😊
