Good morning / evening girls and boys !!!
Hope all of you are well. This season, no character is grabbing my heart, so I am watching half-heartedly here and there. But as some of you guys know, I always have a lot to say😃So here I am to put my two ( or twenty ) cents in. Nandy, I chose you post, I hope you don't mind me spoiling your space hereJust some random thoughts and ramblings about some of the characters, the way I see them.
First off, my little girl Mishti is no longer visible. That little girl with a toothless smile, had a large bite in her words👍🏼which could nip you like nothing else could. Loved, loved and adored that spunky, fiesty, righteous girl to pieces❤️😭Her and her precious popsie were the best❤️👍🏼🤗Some of you know that I just have to say this always😊
Coming to the current characters, I can completely sympathize with the two girls. The older Mishti's outburst is something I liked. She said what she felt. Finally, finally, someone did say that the cheater is a cheater, nothing but a selfish jerk👍🏼The selfish guy and his mistress have not only destroyed the selfish guy's family but the grief and insecurities are now spilling into the next generation😡They have blessed both Mishti and their own child, Pari with a huge insecurity about themselves, having to second guess themselves constantly, having to watch over their shoulders at all times, having to constantly check their behavior for wrong doing is heartbreaking💔In effect, they have shackled both the girls for no mistake of theirs😡HORRIFIC gift any father can bestow in his offspring💔I really hope this angle is taken up in the show, how horrific, selfish decisions of parents can affect lives of their children for life😭
Mishti : This girl needs intense psychotherapy. Her view of the marriage, relationship with a significant other is completely skewed. It is heartbreaking that she thinks that staying idle, at the beck and call of the husband, serving the sasural is a fool proof way of staying together in a marriage😲She is willing to sacrifice her individual identity, her likes, dislikes inorder to stay together with a guy🤢What if the guy finds a different reason to NOT like her ( may be she is not working ??? ), or LEAVE her? What if the guy uses the same excuse as the cheater dad " I love somebody else now"? She will not only be left with a broken marriage but also a lost sense of self😡I wish by the end of this show, the writers will have enough responsibility to instill this sense into this young woman and thereby to young audience at large, that it is up to the girl/ woman/ person to build their own self worth and being somebody's daughter, wife, mother doesn't give you that. Being a productive member of the society, having your own financial independence, having the fortitude to withstand anything life throws at you, being sensitive, being able to help and serve others without any expectations is what makes a you a Mauli or a Ishaan👏.
As to why she is fixated on her " dad Kunal"? She is her papa ( Ishaan's ) only princess and that is a fact. But that really doesn't negate the fact that she was a unwanted child, a child whose existence was rejected by the cheater " her dad". No matter how much she might try to ignore the guy, this will always stay with her that a person who should have welcomed her into this world with open arms, who should have given her unconditional love wished for her nonexistence💔Yes, she got all of this from her papa, Ishaan. But, will she or any of us ever forget if we were privy to such a truth? Everytime she tries to consider a possible suitor or if there are minor squabbles with that potential partner, I can see how she can fall back into the pattern " well, my biological father didn't want me, how can this xyz want me in his life? " That was a HORRIBLE GIFT that biological father gave his offspring😡👎🏼💔
Pari, she doesn't have either a moral dad or a moral mom to fall back on🤢. She is left to imbibe finer qualities just from what she is seeing around her, Mauli aunty, Ishaan uncle, Radhika daadi to be more specific. Added to that, she finds herself in a position of constant guilt that anything she says or does, she is extremely careful not to somehow reference to her birth to those betraying parents. What a HORRIBLE LIFE the betrayers gave their own daughter👎🏼
Veer, there is something oddly unsettling about this guySomething very superficial about this guy. This " yes Mishti" kind of a guy is leaving me with a bad premonition. You see these kind of guys around you, please be very careful as you tread. He doesn't really delve deeper into anything, his business is to make everything look perfect on the surface. You like this ring, I will give it to you BEHIND my mother's back, I will be lovey-dovey to your family frontally, but would rather KILL them for not letting me have my time with you ( I know he didn't mean to ). This guy comes across as somebody who is two-faced. I know he hasn't done anything drastic for me to pick on, but this guy makes me very wary, gets my antennae up for trouble, I can't put my finger onThis guy is NO ISHAAN please😭Ishaan is all about authenticity, perseverance, sensitivity, responsibility, empathy, pure love , all rolled into one👏❤️🤗I am not sure if Veer's character sketch is supposed to be like this or the actor is unable to portray a pureness about him😲
Ruhaan, I will admit that I didn't like this guy in the first episode, as he seemed like an insensitive jerk clicking off pictures, touching somebody without permission or making fun of a girl he was helping. I thought this guy is arrogant and insufferable. But, as I watched him in the last 2-3 episodes, I have no other option but to say I was wrong and change my mind. I feel this guy is observant, well aware of his own feelings towards Mishti, he also knows his limits, and is somebody who would offer his services willingly without expectations. In other words, I didn't feel that he was doing anything ( read pacifying Ansh or giving words of wisdom to Pari ) to be in Mishti's good books. He genuinely is a guy with a helpful nature. I also felt that he doesn't know how he might be affecting Mishti. From his standpoint, Mishti is a girl with a short fuse, flies off the handle easily with everybody, and she is doing the same with him too. He is not reading into her outburst as anything more than that. He is also not doing anything to actively pursue Mishti, as she is his friend's fiancee, which is a relief👍🏼He is still in the analysis stage of his feelings, his inner turmoil. Is it all attraction or something more than that? He wouldn't know that till he knows about Mishti some more. Does he like her character traits or is it just her physical attributes? Looks like he is going to get that insight just by being around and being in that house. I really hope, that this how it progresses and doesn't bank on physical attributes and physical touch. I hope we get a sensible story this time around😊BTW, I don't care for any of the actors, other than Radhika. The actor playing Ruhaan can act, but I don't see anybody else pouring their heart and soul into their characters, so far. Strictly my opinion😳.
OK guys, see you all later. Nandy, I am sorry if I spoiled your space, once again. I hope you don't mind. My disclaimer stands, I am not a psychologist or a psychiatrist, I like analysing people. It is more a hobby, so please take whatever I said with a pinch of salt😃
