This is my first post in this forum and probably the last and the reason I'm here is not because i'm deeply invested in these characters, but because of the concept of the show.INFIDELITY.this 10 lettered word may not affect a lot of people, but as a person who has personally seen a loved one go through devastation because of her husband's infidelity, this word hits home.I think we've all heard of the term 'crimes of passion'. People KILL over betrayal. People commit SUICIDE over betrayal. An affair, is NOT a small 'mistake'. It's destroying the person you vowed to love & protect for life. Making them feel worthless. Making them lose all their sense of self worth. Making them question their time spent with the wayward spouse. Making them question reality. Betrayal changes a person forever. And no matter what people say, cheating is ABUSIVE. it's impact on the betrayed person's mental health is destructive. In this show, what Kunal did was more than betrayal. He completely crushed mouli's soul. His lust for his mistress blinded him so much so that, he called Mauli, a 'giri hui aurat', accused her of faking her pregnancy because she was pregnant with a child he desperately didn't want. It must have killed mauli to know that the unborn in her womb was nothing but 'raaste ka kaata' for her own father's happiness with his mistress. But past is past and now Mauli is getting a second chance at happiness. Mishti has a father she calls her own. Mauli has a person who loves her unconditionally. Why shouldn't she move on? Because she isn't in 'love' with Ishaan? Wasn't she in love with Kunal? Didn't Kunal claim to love her? What did love do to her? It caused her world to collapse. It destroyed her.Love isn't enough. It's never enough. The most important things in a marriage are respect, empathy, LOYALTY and love (whatever that means). And she deserves to experience that with Ishaan. Because with Kunal, she didn't get to experience that. Kunal was a narcissist. Narcissists use people and them throw them out of their lives when they want something else. Out with the old & In with the new. They take on a role, they play people, for years even. They are seen by the society and their spouses as perfect husbands. And then, the bomb goes off, the facade drops. Completely blindsiding their partners. Why should mauli go back to Kunal? She doesn't owe him anything. For what? For a child that isn't her own? For her own daughter, who accepts ishaan as her father?Today's episode made me happy because Kunal's death didn't affect her the way a broken person gets affected. She was sad for Pari & the Malhotras but nothing more than that. I would to believe that she is finally healing from her past, thanks to her own strength, along with Ishaan's love and support. The show is heading towards it's end, and in my opinion the ideal would be Kunal Apologizing to Mauli for all the horrible things he said to her post affair & in her pregnancy & accept that it was HIS own LACK OF CHARACTER which led him to stray, and not any 'kami' in their marriage. Married couples work through their problems, they don't bang their spouses' friends behind their backs & call it 'true love' 🤢I hope Mauli finally gets that closure and embraces true happiness with Ishaan. His world revolves around Mauli & Mishti. They are his priority. Hopefully, she will forgive Kunal, put her past behind her and move on with the guy who actually loves her. And maybe years down the line, she can have more kids with Ishaan.Anyway, that would be MY ideal ending. Have no idea what the CVs have planned, but would like the CVs to portray a positive message. I'm sick of shows where wives accept their cheating husbands. Hope they show something different this time.

I don't know if many people know this but Gajra Kottary was also a co-writer of Balika Vadhu and in that show the main lead Anandi was betrayed by her husband Jagya. In that show, I remember there was a scene where Jagya closes the door on Anandi's face to celebrate his suhaag raat with his mistress Gauri. They show them celebrating their SR, and on the other side they show Anandi crying her heart out in the rain all night. That was the scene which stuck with me through out the show. It was so haunting and heartbreaking. They showed that parallel in Silsila too and it was just as heartbreaking. In BV they showed Anandi finally moving in with someone else so I hope they show Mauli moving on with Ishaan. I see so many parallels between these two shows. Hopefully they end the show with Mauli moving on as well.

thinking About it logically there's no way they can reunite Mauli with Kunal because it will totally against who she is ...her principles etc. remember how she encouraged nandu to leave Rajdeep and move on. What's different with Kunal ? He may not have physically abused her..but he verbally abused her, insulted her, disrespected and degraded her and deserted her when she was pregnant with his child. The hurt he caused Mauli was provably just as much as what Rajdeep gave to nandu or worse,,,so how can Mauli with her principles take Kunal back..it will totally against her character..,So I hope some logic to the character of Mauli prevails and the writers don't mess it up..it has to be a Mauli Ishaan ending 😊

Keeping fingers crossed. And the only difference between Kunal and Rajdeep is that, rajdeep hit nandini physically. Kunal hit Mauli emotionally. Physical scars heal easily. No wonder it took Nandini only months to jump into bed with her bestfriend's husband. Mental and emotional scars drive people to end their lives. We can see how Mauli has changed post betrayal. She is a changed person. Her old self has died and she has probably lost faith in the word called love. I don't blame her.
A great post & I agree with each & every point regarding what you have said about marriage here.
The only point where I have a different opinion is that Mauli's second chance should be Ishaan.
Unfortunately, these days there have been quite an open war of opinion between people who raise their doubt about Ishaan & MauHaan/IshLi fans. Sometimes, they are even called as MauNal supporter.
In no way, Mauli should go back to Kunal. That person destroyed her life & even now no matter what his intention was, he was the one who had given her the greatest shock of her life by snatching everyone from her.
If Mauli still has some love left for him, to me that's understandable. Because I have personally faced a similar situation where I had loved someone immensely & had to back up after realizing it brought me nothing but pain. I moved on. But I could never wipe out the existence of that person from my memory because I had years of good memories.
Mauli can still love Kunal but she doesn't need to be in love with him. And that's a big difference.
As far as Ishaan is concerned, I don't think he is the right guy for her. Because at the end of the day, Mauli is doing this for Mishti but not for herself. Ishaan is the best papa for Mishti but not the ideal husband for Mauli. Because I don't believe that a lie can be the base of a relationship & Ishaan seems to have conveniently forgotten that he was equal partner with Kunal in MAULI KO MANAO ABHIYAN.
I promised Anahi here that I'll become completely unbiased & watch all the latest episode before further comment in some other thread. And after watching all these episodes, now I can confidently say he is not the right guy. What has he done exactly?
His mother came, he weakly resisted & gave Mauli a puppy look before putting the ring on her finger. In no way there was any spark in Mauli's eyes. She kept smiling but that was fake. And for a guy who has supposedly known her for an adequate period of time & loves her, it shouldn't be hard to notice.
He was pissed that Kunal had thrown her out in the middle of the night. After 3 years of association, doesn't he understand the affect Dida & Radhika has on her life that he just believed Mauli's words without any doubt that she has moved on?
Even a close friend could understand the devastating effect of losing someone important & Ishaan here is in his lala land because Mauli has finally said yes.
How come this is the right person for Mauli?
At the end of the day neither do I want a MauNal reunion nor will I reject the possibility of Ishaan's character growth, which I wanted badly.
But if this continues, I believe he is a horrible partner for Mauli & she will be thousand times better without such a person. She can find a better suitable person with whom she can actually fall in love without any facade & without the constant ITNE LUCKY HO JO USNE TUMHE SUIKARA bhajan.
ok. Kunal is better than Rajdeep ..happy ...Rajdeep physically abused his wife and could have killed her...but Kunal only destroyed his wife's self esteem, degraded and humiliated her , resented his unborn child and eventually deserted his pregnant wife for his mistress. Yes Kunal is a much better man than Rajdeep, sorry for comparing .. and if you look at the wives,,nandu was able to move on with another man within a month while Mauli six years on is still hurting . So The scars of Rajdeeps physical, abuse was very short lived but the scars of kunals verbal abuse are everlasting...Originally posted by: krystal_watz
Please don't compare Rajdeep with Kunal. Rajdeep was a monster who tortured his wife in inhuman ways. Cheating, no matter how bad, cannot be compared to the atrocities Rajdeep did.
