It's interesting that you are comparing Sandhya to Kunal. I would think the automatic and direct comparison would be with Dida and Radhika. Dida and Radhika chose Mauli over their son. They also chose to do what they thought was right and noble at the cost of losing their son. They didn't care what society said and all. Which perfectly contrasts with who Sandhya is as a person.I know there is a lot of Kunal whitewashing that happens in the show. That's just how Indian tv works. I don't watch enough serials but I can't remember the last time I watched a serial where at some point the writers didn't use lazy writing methods to make the hero seem greater than he is. Having said that, I always had a huge problem with people's complaints about Kunal's whitewashing. I felt this way even when I hated Kunal's guts. People here use it too loosely and they can't digest him looking positive under any light. They forget for most part of the show Kunal was a over the top positive character.

@ bild: this is not true. People appreaciated positive Kunal: a good father to Pari. After his comeback i. The post leap story most of the peole liked him. Pretty much everyone said he looked mature loved his being buddy to Pari. Its constant whitewashing thats annoying. Its his unneceszry involvement in Mouli's life. Its his getting shot right when the person who he loves the most has come to know his horrendous past. He isnt held accountable...ever.If they wanted to make him positive he wouldve have talked to Mouli after the camp, instead he threw her out, humiliating her once again. But its presented in such a way that it doesnt show Mouli as victim of yet another humiliation it paintd Kunal as the mahaan who had to do all.the hard work for Moulis happiness (Radhika literally says this)If they wanted positive Kunal they would have shown Kunal talking to Pari. Maing her and the audience see his perpective. But no they got Pari kidnapped (abd are gonna put all the blame on Sandhya so to see) and then they got him shot.People blame Sandhya for being mean to Mouli while praising Kunal with the same mouth and not even mentioning that he kicked her out ike what 2-3 days ago. This isnt about making kunal go right thing. This is makers making Kunal.into a hero. You think the audience says whitewashing all the time? Well the makers use whitewashig all the time.

If characters (Mahek, Sandhya, Mishti) are being introduced just for the sake of making Kunal look like a saint, he's being whitewashed.
If characters (Mumma, Mishti) who hated Kunal for his past forceful actions towards Mauli are now putting him on a pedestal because of his current forceful actions towards Mauli, he's being whitewashed.
Also, the situations that poor Kunal is being faced with are all so precisely fabricated so that everything goes wrong for him. For example, poor Kunal wanted to tell Pari but poor Kunal was so afraid that his daughter may start to hate him and that would be awful because all poor Kunal has is his daughter. So then as a pure coincidence, Mishti showed up to her own house to pick up her own clothes and told Pari the truth because by coincidence Pari happened to ask her why she was mad at her. Poor Kunal had no idea that Mishti, a six year old girl, would tell Pari, a four year old girl, the truth, how could he have guessed that?? No wonder, poor Kunal didn't warn Mishti not to tell Pari the truth. And then when Pari found out, she just coincidentally went straight to Mauli's house to ask her questions instead of asking her father with whom she "shares everything. Upon arriving at Mauli's house, by coincidence, the first (and only) people to see her were aforementioned evil Sandhya and Sweety who exposed the whole truth to her. And then by coincidence Pari ended up in a goon's truck and by coincidence they happened to have a gun on them when poor Kunal went to save her. And then not only did poor Kunal get shot, he also by coincidence fell off a cliff!! 😲 Then, everyone thought poor Kunal was dead and even mourned for him. And now by coincidence poor Kunal has lost his memory. How much more does poor Kunal have to go through for people to realize that he's just a very positive character? And gosh, Sweety and Sandhya are just the dirt of the earth when compared to Kunal, aren't they? And seriously, why are Mumma, Pari, and Mishti not praising Kunal so little, everyone should be praising this gracious, humble, positive, gem of a person.
Okay, that was all really exaggerated, I was just having some fun 😛 But, the point is, the writers are deliberately causing situations in which Kunal looks bechara and other people look so evil compared to him simply because they want to make him mahaan character. He's not being nice, he's being self-sacrificial and it's very obvious that the whole purpose of his behaviour and the behaviour of other people around him is being fabricated to put him on a pedestal. And that is whitewashing.

Apart from the fact that I do think Sandhya and Sweety are evil and I'm so over them and done with them and hated how much screen time they got today, I completely agree with your post.
So glad I got to read this mic drop post before heading off to bed 😆

I don't think any sane person would leave a child just because she came alone. I'm sorry that's very stupid for me. And no matter what Kunal did, no sensible person would start that bull shit in his shanti pooja, this sumps up that both aren't sensible. And I don't understand how it is Radhika's fault, didn't Mishti play with Pramila ever ? She didn't even know that Pari wasn't in the right state of mind. But yes I agree Pramila is the first one who should regret, but firstly she isn't an important character secondly she isn't insensitive either. So we can assume she is guilty unlike the mahaan ladies who literally have no sense left in them, knowing everything they ARE partly responsible for everything. Nothing can change that.
The first mistake was done by Pramila. How could she let Pari go alone?
Pari is also a strange kid? 😲 She is just 3-4 year old girl. Saw some photo in an album and got so excited?😲 Usually kids wait. Ask the elders...may be Dida who always stay at home. But she is as filmy as her divine mom. Decided to run to Mauli's house at once without even taking permission from the elders. My mom would have broke my 206 bones if I dared that in that age. 😆 Kuchh bhi nehi sikhaya papa ne. Uparse she left alone at the night!!!! Every child is scared of dark/night...and she walked alone on the street.
About telling the truth to Pari was harsh. ppl often do that to children. It was wrong and sending a child alone to house was a damn careless mistake. They should inform Kunal or Radhika to take Pari home. Onje dhulai was needed for Pari. 😆 My parents would give me that if I left at night no matter what the reason is. Very wrong message from CVs. But then they show what may happen if a child go out alone by herself.
As far as I can remember Sandhya told Ishan to take Pari home. But that didn't happen.
Next comes to Pari's kidnapping. The girl is as brilliant as her divine mom. Kunal is also another unamad ( mad). Why didn't he take help from the police? Just run alone in the street. Woh toh CVs ka meherabani thi jo Pari mil gayaee. Or else just think. Mumbai is a huge city and for a child it is not safe...woh bhi with a papa like Kunal. When he saw Nandu's wall colored with blood...the only way that idiot found is taking fayeda on that lady, fulfill his lust actually. So divine punishment came on him. But Pari is a child and she should not get punishment for her stupid parents...although she is also following their path. So this is a lesson for Pari...don't follow your parents.
About Sandhya sending Mauli to hospital or hurrying for marriage...I am not finding abything wrong or heartless. Mauli is a doctor and her first duty is to save a life. After knowing how was Kunal...don't think any normal woman would feel sorry for him. He never thought about his old mom, dida and wife woh bhi when she was pregnant. As long as he was living a happy life with Nandu he never checked how his old family is doing at home...keya woh zinda hai or maar gaya??? Who will feel sympathy for such a heartless jerk? Besides think about this woman. She is waiting for her son's shadi most probably for years. It was almost going to break when she gave condition. How will she delay that now? She is a worried mother. Kunal is Radhika's son...not Sandhya's . Apne apne hote hai...and mothers are selfish when it comes to the good of their son. So I am not finding this cruel. Besides who will feel sad for a jerk like Kunal after knowing his past???
About Sweety. Our society is suffocated by her kind of woman. we are all suffering because of those kind of woman.
