Mishti hears someone say "I heard Kunal went to save his daughter, and now look what has happened. The poor girl went down to play, then without saying anything, went somewhere, then got kidnapped... the father went to save the kid and got shot and fell in the khayi"... Mishti drops the card.

Mishti goes to Kunal's picture. Close ups of Sandhya and Sweetie looking shocked. Why so shocked? 😆

Mishti looks around and asks where is Doctor Kunal? He got shot kya? Why is his photo here? Where is he? I want to meet him! Someone say something! What happened to Doctor Kunal? Mama you tell me what happened. People are saying he got shot!

Everyone is crying, then Radhika gets up and tells Mishti, Kunal has gone very far. Now he won't ever come back. Mishti says this is all my fault. I am very bad. I told Pari that her dad is my dad. That's why Pari must have left home, and that's why Doctor Kunal left to get her... while saving Pari this happened right? Sorry Doctor Kunal. All of this happened because of me.

Mauli goes to Mishti and hugs her. Mishti then goes to Pari and hugs her. Mishti says please Pari forgive me. I didn't know that this would happen. I'm so sorry Pari.

Even Mishti's reaction seems dull. I wasn't expecting her to say Papa or anything, but it's like a random stranger passed away. 🤔

Kunal being brought in the hospital. On the other side, homam is happening. Sweety saying what happened was very bad. But one thing is clear, when Kunal was alive he lived life his own way. Whatever he wanted to do, he did that. He didn't listen to anyone. Mauli is beside her crying.

Mauli is lost in her own thoughts (but Gajra isn't showing us what those thoughts are 😡), her phone rings, and Sandhya says Mauli. She snaps out of it. This time Sandhya tells her to pick it up. Mauli answers and says yes? Sorry tell them that I can't come. Something happened in our house, and me leaving from here is impossible. Please call another doctor. The person on the phone says your patient is very serious, it's better if you see her. Mauli says look, even in a doctor's life there are emergencies. She says I can't come and hangs up. They call again and Mauli picks up and says there has been a tragedy at home, I really can't come. Sandhya looks pissed off lol.

Sandhya says Mauli I understand you can't go to work right now, but you are a doctor and doctors work is different. When patients are going through a tough time, only then doctors are called so you can go. Whoever is gone is already gone, but patients are still here and they're calling you. Don't play with their lives.

Who is gone is already gone. Jo hai, usse bachalo. (another hint that Mauli is stuck in her past)

Mauli looks shocked when Sandhya says this.

Lol Sandhya then looks at Ishaan and says Ishaan, tell her what a doctor's responsibility is. Okay Sandhya Ji, your son isn't a doctor to tell a DOCTOR what her responsibility is. I don't know what is going through this lady's head. I understand Mauli's a doctor, but you can't force someone. If even a doctor is not in the right frame of mind, they can make many mistakes. Jeez.

Ishaan keeps quiet. Thank goodness he didn't say anything here. Mauli says hospital is very far, it will take time to go there and here Dida, Mumma, Pari they need me. I can't leave and go. Thank you Mauli for finally speaking up to your saas. Sandhya's lips are pursing. Lady just shut up and let Mauli live - she's been a doctor for many years. She knows how her profession works and where she needs to be.
